Free pickleball intro class
Lebanon Pickleball Club will hold a Free Introduction to Pickleball day from 10 to noon, Saturday, May 27, at the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Santiam.
No experience is necessary. Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Regular play is $3 per day or $2 for 10 sessions from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 to noon Saturdays at the Boys and Girls Club.

Orchestra concert at Senior Center
The Lebanon Community Orchestra will present Music That Takes You Away from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, at the Lebanon Senior Center.
The Seven Oaks Middle School Olympian Band will make a special appearance.
The concert is free.
Hero Half races
Saturday, May 27
The Hero Half Marathon will be held Saturday, May 27, at the Community Chapel, 42250 Ames Creek Road, Sweet Home.
Running events and start times are a 1.3-mile fun run/walk at 10:15 a.m., an 8K run at 10 a.m. and the Half Marathon, also at 10.
Proceeds benefit the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 585 and Keaton Coffey Memorial Scholarship.

Master’s Men to perform May 28
The Sweet Home Pregnancy Care Center will hold a Benefit Concert performed by the Master’s Men at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church, 1347 Long St.
An offering will be taken to support the Pregnancy Care Center.
Forum Lunch to focus on cattle
The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association will hold a forum lunch from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Training Center, 525 N Santiam Hwy.
The speaker will be Jerome Rosa, executive director of the association.
The lunch will include beef pot roast, roasted baby baker potatoes and roasted carrots with cupcakes for dessert.
Registration is required and is $15.

RAIN Pub Talk in Lebanon
East Linn County RAIN (Regional Accelerator and Innovators Network) will host a Pub-Talk from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Conversion Brewing, 833 Main St, Lebanon.
The Pub-Talk is a pitch event where local entrepreneurs and business owners get 60 seconds each to pitch their business ideas/venture to the audience. The audience for the best pitch (best delivery and market opportunity) and the winner will receive $250 cash and in-kind prizes.

Classic Car Cruz N
June 10 at Cheadle
Lebanon Chamber of Commerce will host a Classic Car Cruz N from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Cheadle Lake Park.
The Cruz N will feature “Cruz the Gut,” an eight-mile drive beginning at 9 a.m., a rotisserie chicken dinner, vendors, prizes and the Albany Swing Band. Cars included will be classic, customs, trucks and hot rods.
A Rotary rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Santiam Place, 139 S Main. Sellers will sell goods from their cars or provide their own table. In case of rain, the sale will be moved inside Santiam Place, where tables will be provided. No clothing sales allowed.
Sellers have the option to donate all proceeds to the Rotary Club or pay $25 for a space. Sellers may also donate some proceeds and keep part.
Non-Rotarians who wish to participate can register by calling Judy Hill (541) 979-9155 before June 1 or Linda Learn at (541) 974-0796 after May 31. Other service clubs are welcome to participate.

LPD to offer Active Shooter training
The Lebanon Police Department will hold Active Shooter Violent Intruder Response instructor certification training class from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday, June 27 to June 28, at the Lebanon Justice Center.
Attendees will include neighboring law enforcement, local school officials, healthcare workers and area businesses.
