Michael Shaffer, 28, of Lebanon, was arrested for second-degree assault and harassment on Jan. 21.
Lebanon Police Officers responded to a report of an assault at Merlin’s Bar & Grill, 45 W. Sherman St., at 2:47 a.m. on Jan. 21, according to an LPD news release.
When they arrived, officers found an adult male bleeding badly from a head wound.
Lebanon Fire District paramedics transported the victim to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital where he was treated for a laceration to the head.
An investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted while inside Merlin’s and led to Shaffer as a suspect in the incident.
Shaffer was transported the Linn County Jail.
