Search and rescue teams entered their second day looking for missing mushroom hunter Oliver Mercer, 58, of Lebanon.
More than 20 members of Linn County Search and Rescue are currently in the area of Rocky Top, near Green Peter Reservoir, searching the area.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has sent several SAR members to assist and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be sending resources later today.
Ground teams are being assisted by air assets provided by the Oregon Air National Guard and REACH (Reach Air Medical Services).
Sheriff Bruce Riley said the Sheriff’s Office received a call at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday regarding a missing mushroom picker in the area of Rocky Top.
Mercer has been missing since 9 a.m. Monday. Linn County Search and Rescue immediately sent a hasty team to the area to beginning searching, Riley said.
