Public Safety: October 2017

Oct. 5
9:12 a.m. – Schrene Marie Worley, 48, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge DUII. She also had a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for contempt of court. She was cited and released. A caller reported people sleeping in a van in the parking lot of apartments in the 3100 block of S. Santiam Highway.  Officers responded. The caller declined to press charges but Worley was trespassed. Two other people who were there had already been trespassed.

9:38 a.m. – Terry Lynn Ballweber, 53, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, original charge third-degree theft.

11:24 a.m. – A large group of juveniles were loitering at the Free Methodist Church, at S. Seventh and F Streets. An officer counseled them on the city loitering ordinance and they moved on. No additional report was taken.

12:15 p.m. – An air soft pistol was found at River Park. A report was taken.

1:04 p.m. – A caller said marijuana plants were taken from behind her residence, in the 800 block of E Street. Her boyfriend was able to follow the leaves to a parking lot in the 600 block of F Street. Loss value: $2,000. A report was taken.

Oct. 4
3:58 a.m. – Clifford Allen Styron, 46, was arrested for criminal mischief. A caller said he had a man who was breaking into his car on the ground, 44 Industrial Way. The caller had mace, no other weapons.

8:54 a.m. – A caller said her car was keyed on the driver’s side while parked at her residence, in the 2400 block of S. Third Street. A report for was taken.

11:54 a.m. – An officer contacted two juveniles, near Seventh and F Streets. A 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were cited for loitering.

2:44 p.m. – A woman contacted the Lebanon Police Department about her 15-year-old daughter stealing her vehicle. The vehicle was stolen and returned on Aug. 3. The juvenile has never been allowed to use the car without permission. The parents wished to pursue stolen vehicle charges. A report was taken.

4:16 p.m. – Tinsa Marie Gaines, 27, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear. She was cited and released.

4:43 p.m. – Nick Louis Begrin, Jr., 37, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

6:13 p.m. – A caller found a bag containing a marijuana and a white powdery substance on the floor at Bi-Mart. A report for found property was taken.

7:06 p.m. – A caller reported items stolen from a boat storage at Cheadle Lake. An Alpine stereo, amp and boat keys were taken. There was damage to the boat, cut wires and heating duct. The caller saidhe will talk to the manager about getting security video, as there was a camera pointed right at the caller’s boat. Total loss and damage: $1,570. A report for first-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass was taken.

7:54 p.m. – A 17-year-old male turned himself in on Linn County Juvenile Detention warrants from second-degree criminal mischief and minor in possession of a controlled substance, alcohol. A report was taken.

10:14 p.m. – Cory Allen Waterman, 37, was arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation.

Oct. 3
3:34 p.m. – A Lebanon High School student rode his bicycle in front of a vehicle in the parking lot at the school. He had minor scratches. Medics checked and released him. A report was taken.

8:47 p.m. – A 6-year-old boy was bitten by a dog, in the 3000 block of Columbine Street. His mother took him to the emergency room. A report was taken.

Oct. 2
9:01 a.m. – A 1999 silver Toyota Camry was stolen from 3000 S. Santiam Highway. It had a teal-colored right front passenger fender. There is no symbol on the front of the vehicle. It was entered into LEDS.

9:40 a.m. – James Leroy Salvador, 34, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge third-degree theft. He also had a Linn County Supervisory Authority warrant for failure to comply, resisting arrest, and a Lane County parole/probation warrant. Heather Renae Fagan, 27, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge giving false information. Salvador was transported to Linn County Jail. Fagan was cited and released.

9:45 a.m. – A caller found footprints in his backyard, in the 500 block of E Street. He also found a branch with several marijuana buds attached where juveniles were. The school resource officer located two juveniles walking near Seventh and D Streets. Both ran behind the caller’s house when they saw the SRO. The caller did not want to pursue charges of criminal mischief and instead requested that the students be counseled. A report for found property was taken.

10:03 a.m. – Syringes were found by the back door of a business in the 1200 block of S. Main Street. An officer retrieved them and put them in a sharps container. No additional report was taken.

11:03 a.m. – A caller reported five juveniles on a property in the 100 block of W. Vine Street. The caller said they came from the teen center on Second Street, hang out, smoke and jump on the caller’s fence. An officer counseled them on their actions. No additional report was taken.

12:41 p.m. – A caller reported an RV trailer was damaged at Santiam Village South, 204 Cascade Dr. No one was inside the trailer. Nothing inside was taken or damaged. The door jamb and the door lock were damaged. A report for first-degree burglary was taken.

1:47 p.m. – A caller found an Apple computer in the bushes by St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 257 Milton St. It was entered into LEDS as found property.

8:35 p.m. – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office Lebanon substation called about a 48-year-old man who was injured when he crashed his bicycle crossing the railroad tracks by Hiatt Street. His head was bleeding and part of his scalp was missing. Medics were dispatched. A report was taken.

Oct. 1
2:04 a.m. – A 30-year-old man said a woman handed him a cigarette pack that contained something that looked like methamphetamine. The item was seized by an officer. It contained a baggie with white crystals inside. A report was taken.

3:14 p.m. – A caller reported a blue 1992 Honda Civic with grey race stripes was stolen, from the 20 block of S. Eighth Street. There was approximately $700 worth of tools in the trunk when it was stolen. The vehicle was entered into LEDS.

3:20 p.m. – A shed was broken into, in the 400 block of W. D Street. The lock was cut off and tools, clothing and various items were taken sometime between Sept. 16 and the time of the call. A report was taken.

Sept. 30
8:58 a.m. – A camp host was told that a boat was leaning against the trees in the homeless area, near River Park. All agencies in the area were contacted about a possible stolen boat but none had been reported. No additional report was taken.

11:13 a.m. – A caller said he believed a person at Taco Bell dropped something on the ground, which he believed was black tar heroin. The property was seized for destruction. A report was taken.

11:43 a.m. – Dustin Kyle Westling, 30, was arrested for second-degree attempted theft. A caller reported a man at Safeway with a fraudulent Coin Star check for $158. A report was taken.

1:19 p.m. – A caller reported that someone broke out the passenger side window of a vehicle sometime overnight, in the 2000 block of Cypress Court. Both doors were still locked and it didn’t appear entry was made. Loss value: $200. A report was taken.

4:06 p.m. – William Bert Sater, 51, was arrested for DUII.

Sept. 29
7:47 a.m. – Allan Scott Pinner, 60, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

8:02 a.m. – A caller reported a van parked in the parking lot at 52 E. Airport Rd. The person was told to call police when the van was at the location because the people living inside the van keep defecating in the bushes. Officers contacted a 38-year-old man who said he would move along and not return to the location. The man did not deny defecating in the bushes. No additional report was taken.

Sept. 28
12:30 p.m. – A Linn County Sheriff’s deputy found evidence of deer baiting while patrolling BLM and Weyerhaeuser properties in the Keel Mountain area, 41500 block of Keel Mountain Drive. The deputy advised Oregon State Police Fish and Game.

1:53 p.m. – A Lebanon Community School District employee said a juvenile appeared to be under the influence of marijuana. He was not being cooperative. A Lebanon police officer dropped the juvenile off at his residence, where his parents were. LPD will forward an informational report to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and DHS.

2:30 p.m. – Cody Clayton Chrisman, 25, was arrested on a Mill City Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear.

2:55 p.m. – Todd Gerald Greiner, 51, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

6:18 p.m. – Dana Janene Norris, 33, was arrested on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for first-degree criminal mistreatment.

7 p.m. – Michael Ryan Van Gelder, 30, was arrested and charged with menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault.

9:05 p.m. – Misty Dee Marie Baker, 33, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for second-degree failure to appear, second-degree disorderly conduct, contempt of court, probation violation, original charge second-degree disorderly conduct.

Sept. 27
11:02 a.m. – A caller reported garbage outside a building at 155 N. Williams St. The previous occupant said she had not leased the building since August. The property manager said clean up was to begin Sept. 28. No additional report was taken.

11:53 a.m. – A man received a fraudulent check in the mail, in the 200 block of E. Elmore Street. He said he called the company the check was allegedly from and they told him to call the police and turn the check over to them. An informational report was taken.

12:05 p.m. – A woman said a bike had been leaning against her chain link fence for about four days. An officer retrieved the men’s Mongoose mountain bike from the location. Estimated value: $5. A report for found property was taken.

1:28 p.m. – Theodore Stanley Harry, 53, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit warrant for probation violation, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

2:53 p.m. – A caller found a marijuana pipe at the park benches near the Academy Square gazebo. A report was taken.

5:22 p.m. – A caller said a business at 155 N. Williams St. was broken into sometime on Sept. 22 and the day of the call. An officer said the previous occupants left the building and left garbage behind. The caller said people are digging through the garbage at night. There was no burglary, but the caller requested extra patrol as time allows. The building was locked up and the caller planned to remove the garbage.

10:37 p.m. – Alexander Hamilton Burrell, 38, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court arrest warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. He also had two Linn County Circuit Court warrants for probation violation, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Sept. 26
4:19 a.m. A caller saw a person siphoning gas at a U-Haul at 1060 Tangent St. An officer contacted a man who was sleeping in a vehicle nearby. He denied being involved in the gas theft, but he did have several siphoning hoses in his vehicle. The caller only wished for the man to be trespassed, and he was. No additional report was taken.

8:58 a.m. – Joseph Robert Vargas, Jr., 33, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for second-degree failure to appear and contempt of court and probation violation. He also had an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation.

9:38 a.m. – A vehicle was entered overnight, in the 900 block of W. D Street. A caller had the incident on video. Nothing appeared to have been taken. An officer observed a person enter the vehicle and rifle through it. A report was taken.

9:44 a.m. – A caller wanted to speak to an officer about a group of disrespectful teenagers she had been having issues with, in the 100 block of W. Vine Street. She said they hang out on the corner of her property and sometimes throw garbage into her yard or taunt her dog. The incidents occur daily between the hours of 9:30 and 10 a.m. She did not wish to have any action taken, only documented. No additional report was taken.

2:10 p.m. – A caller said that a woman got gas at a station in the 2600 block of S. Santiam Highway and left without paying. The woman said she left her purse at Walmart. The manager said they wanted to wait to see if she would return. No additional report was taken. The woman was described as a white female in her 30s, with blond hair.

3:55 p.m. – A caller said dogs were running at large and one of them charges anyone who walks by, in the 1400 block of Filbert Street. The dog runs out into the street and chases people then returns to its yard. When an officer drove through the area, the dog was in the middle of the street. At 5:08 p.m., two white dogs were in the yard, not contained. No one answered the door when an officer attempted to contact the dog owner. The officer will follow up to issue a citation for dog at large since the dog owner had received previous warnings. A report was taken.

5:30 p.m. A woman got gas from a station in the 1500 block of S. Main Street. She said she left her wallet and left without paying. She was a heavy-set white female with blonde hair in her 20s. A similar suspect and situation was reported at 2:10 p.m. $20 in gas was taken. A report for third-degree theft was taken.

7:17 p.m. – A caller reported two men were fighting at Ralston Park. One of the men walked away from the park on Grove Street, the other walked on Oak Street. An officer contacted the men and extensively counseled them on disorderly conduct, why it exists and how it is enforced. No additional report was taken.

Sept. 25
8:47 a.m. – A maintenance worker at Cheadle Lake advised the city that several transients were trying to break into a storage shed at the location. A 58-year-old man admitted to staying the night in the park. He was issued a 30-day exclusion notice from parks and advised he could be cited for trespassing if he enters the park. The man refused to sign the notice. A report was taken.

8:58 a.m. – Three juveniles were hiding in the bushes on the north side of the Methodist church at S. Seventh and F Streets and ran from the area when found. Two of the juveniles hopped the fence and returned to class. The other juvenile ran through the alleyway and continued to use foul language toward the school resource officer. No additional report was taken.

9:33 a.m. – Cassandra Dee Scott, 26, was arrested for second-degree trespass, first-degree animal abuse and multiple warrants for failure to appear. Lebanon police assisted Linn County Sheriff’s deputies on call related to a woman killing a neighbor’s goose, in the 300 block of Russell Street.

10:48 a.m. – Brad Lee Rassi, 57, was arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear and failure to register as a sex offender.

11:09 a.m. – Nicholas Eugene-Miguel Correa, 20, was arrested on a Lincoln County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge harassment.

11:36 a.m. – Scotty Ed Klein, 43, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

1:10 p.m. – Devin Michael Houseman, 30, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. He also had a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

8:08 p.m. – Kimberly Dianne Brown, 28, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court Arrest warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. She was cited and released.

Sept. 24
7:51 a.m. – The shed at Valley Life Church was entered sometime last week and a leaf blower was taken. The window was shattered out and the door forced open. Taken was a Stihl gas-powered leaf blower and two small gas cans. Damage value: $200. Loss value: $350.

12:29 p.m. – A caller said several panels were broken out of his fence during the night, in the 800 block of B Street. Some property, possibly from a vehicle, was left on the ground. Two slats were likely torn down to create access to the sidewalk. The fence slats will be nailed back up. No additional report was taken.

12:45 p.m. – The found property from the previous call was a roadside kit with jumper cables, Fix-a-Flat, WD40, gloves and a poncho. A report for found property was taken.

1:24 p.m. – A caller said his vehicle was entered sometime overnight, in the 1000 block of B Loop. It appeared nothing was taken but the caller said there was a key in the ignition that did not belong to the vehicle. It did not work in the ignition, but it did unlock the doors. A coat was left behind. A second victim at the location said his truck was entered sometime overnight. Several items were taken, including two pairs of camouflage pants, Bushnell HD trail cam, blue nylon lunchbox, 10 Remington 30-06 rounds, $20 in change a blue phone charger, Stanley ratchet set and an Old Timer brand black handled knife with interchangeable silver blades. There was no damage to the truck. A report for two counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.

5:43 p.m. – A caller said his vehicle was broken into during the night, in the 1000 block of S. 10th Street. Two coats, which he said had no value to him, were missing. He only wanted this documented. No additional report was taken

8:28 p.m. – Bradly Allen Dinsmore, 34, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. A caller said two males were fighting, in the 600 block of F Street. Officers contacted Dinsmore in the street. A report was taken.

Sept. 23
Neva Victoria Blake, 52, was arrested on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to perform duties.

3:58 p.m. – There was a large fire at the homeless camp under the bridge, in the 1300 block of E. Grant Street. Lebanon Fire District put out the fire and requested LPD contact the people under the bridge. The fire was in a large area of rocks with a small fire pit built in the middle of them. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area. No additional report was taken.

8:02 p.m. – Michael Lynn Smith, 56, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft by deception.

A caller said people were sleeping in vehicles in the parking lot at an apartment complex, in the 3100 block of S. Santiam Highway. The caller works for the landlord and was advised to check on the property as this has been an ongoing issue. No additional report was taken.

9:21 p.m. – Robert Vincent, 46, was arrested on a Linn County Justice Court Misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Brenton K. Greinier, 35, was arrested on a Marion County misdemeanor warrant for flight to avoid. Greinier was also charged with two counts of attempt to elude, reckless driving, reckless endangering, and giving false information to police.

Sept. 22
9:34 a.m. – A caller said people who were evicted from a residence left their dog in the backyard, in the 400 block of Park Street. The owner said she left the dog there because she does not have a place for him. She said she has been giving him food and water every day. She said she signed the dog over to the Willamette Humane Society the day of the call. No additional report was taken.

9:35 a.m. – A caller said four marijuana plants were stolen from his front porch overnight, in the 300 block of Park Street. He said they are 3 feet tall and all four were in planter pots. Loss value: $65. The caller was counseled about having his plants in view of the public. He requested documentation only. No additional report was taken.

12:38 p.m. –  Ross Allen Scott, 24, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge DUII. He also had a Linn County arrest warrant for failure to appear, DUII and reckless driving, a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, second-degree forgery, a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt, third-degree theft and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear, third-degree theft. He was cited and released on all warrants due to a medical issue.

2:23 p.m. – A caller said his red, white and grey BMX bike was stolen sometime after lunch the day of the call, Lebanon High School. A report was taken.

3:13 p.m. – Richard Wade Arnold, 39, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. He was cited and released.

3:17 p.m. – A man reported a firearm was stolen from his vehicle within the past three weeks, in the 600 block of Vaughan Lane. It was entered into LEDS.

4:15 p.m. – A woman said her neighbor’s dogs got into her backyard and the pitbull was throwing itself into her sliding glass door, 1500 block of W. Sherman Street. She said it is an ongoing issue. The dog’s owner was cited for dog at large. A report was taken.

5:10 p.m. – Two Lebanon High School students, a 15-year-old female and a 14-year-old female, had marijuana in their possession. They were cited for minor in possession, marijuana and minor in possession, tobacco. A report was taken.

8:21 p.m. – Tanya Rachelle Idencio, 42, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

9:14 p.m. – Thomas Jason Shadowen, 42, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, original charge driving while suspended.

Sept. 21
8:34 a.m. – A caller was concerned that a woman who was sitting on a park bench near E. Grant and S. Main Streets was “high” on something. A second caller said the woman was waving and yelling at cars. Officers contacted the 36-year-old woman who appeared to be extremely high and was acting very strangely. She did not appear to be an immediate danger to herself or others and she refused all assistance from officers. She left southbound on Main Street. No additional report was taken.

8:50 a.m. – An officer was out with seven juveniles near S. Seventh and F Streets. Two of them were verbally defiant and refused to return to school when told to. The officer followed the students around the area as he was aware that they have a history of smoking marijuana and cigarettes and skipping school. At 9:19 a.m., they returned to school after the officer followed them for a while.

12:01 p.m. – A caller said that a woman sitting on a bench outside of AppleTree’s refused to leave. Officers contacted the 36-year-old woman, the same woman officers contacted at 8:34 a.m., moved along. No additional report was taken.

1:17 p.m. – A caller reported a woman sitting on a bench near the pharmacy window at Bi-Mart was yelling at customers. Officers contacted the woman, the same woman as the previous call, and she moved along.

1:27 p.m. – An officer contacted two juveniles near S. Seventh and F Streets. One of them was advised that if he was caught loitering in the area again he would be cited, as he has been warned. No additional report was taken.

4:25 p.m. – LPD picked up Corey Brandon Ford, 26, from the Linn County Jail on Lebanon Municipal Court arrest warrants for contempt of court and probation violation.

4:47 p.m. – Raymond Roy Gage, 69, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. A caller said a man at the plaza next to Ralston Park was yelling at some kids.

4:49 p.m. – A woman found her large rabbit cage had been knocked over and the wire torn up, in the 200 block of Trillium Place. The rabbit had been killed. She requested that the information be documented. No additional report was taken.

5:35 p.m. – An iPhone was found, in the 3600 block of S. Santiam Highway. A report was taken.

Sept. 20
1:26 a.m. – A dark green 1996 Honda Accord was taken sometime overnight, the 700 block of W. Maple Street. It was in good working condition but had a defective passenger-side headlight. The vehicle was unsecured. At 1:56 p.m., the Salem Police Department recovered the vehicle and a plate. The vehicle was released to its owner. A report was taken.

7:52 a.m. – William Bert Sater, 51, was charged with DUII.

9:12 a.m. – A Saint Bernard chased an LPD patrol car for about a block before returning to its residence, in the 2400 block of S. Sixth Street. A man secured the dog inside the residence and officers left a voicemail for the dog’s owners advising that further incidents of dog at large could result in citations. The officers also counseled them on their proximity to Cascades Elementary School. The owner told police they had just gotten the dog and he is smarter than they thought. He said he will take care of the issue. No additional report was taken.

10:05 a.m. – William Dustin Cummings, 33, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. A homeless person told the River Park camp host that another homeless man was handcuffed to a bench.

10:06 a.m. –  Someone was living in an RV during the day but moves at night, in 300 block of C Street. There was a previous complaint about this. No additional report was taken.

11:28 a.m. – The shed at a residence was entered at 1:25 a.m., in the 400 block of W. Sherman Street. Nothing was taken from the shed. A report for second-degree criminal mischief was taken.

Sept. 19
3:32 a.m. – Steven Michael Athony Urban, 24, was arrested for contempt of court and probation violation.

7:37 a.m. – A needle was found in the NW corner of Christopher Columbus Park. An officer disposed the syringe. No additional report was taken.

7:45 a.m. – An American pitbull mix dog wandered into Walmart. Employees paged for the owner but got no response. The dog was placed in a kennel. Officers tried to contact the dog owner without success. Linn County Animal Control picked up the dog and an officer left a card at the owner’s residence. No additional report was taken.

9:16 a.m. – A caller said there were many dogs at large in her neighborhood and they were destroying her property, in the 800 block of Walker Road. No additional report was taken.

9:51 a.m. – A blue Schwinn was taken sometime during the night, in the 300 block of Park Street. Loss value: $50. It was entered into LEDS. A report was taken.

10:37 a.m. – A Lebanon High School student reported his Samsung Galaxy S7 missing. He noticed it was missing from his pocket at the beginning of second period in the 300 hall. He called the phone and spoke with a male who said the phone was his and he had been in possession of it for a while. The student’s mother tracked the phone to Vine and Fisher in Sodaville. Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to locate the phone but could not. A report was taken.

10:55 a.m. – Part of a bicycle was in the canal by Main Street but an officer was not able to retrieve it at the time and said he would work on getting equipment to assist. No additional report was taken.

1:08 p.m. – Joshua Joe Tallman, 27, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

1:19 p.m. – A brown and white border collie was running at large near Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. It did not have a chip. It was released to Linn County Animal Control.

1:57 p.m. – A cell phone was found near Merlin’s Bar. A report was taken.

3:14 p.m. – Brandon Leroy Greer, 41, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for parole violation, distribution of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, methamphetamine. He also had twoLebanon Municipal Court arrest warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. Teresa Gayle Buhr, 54, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for hindering prosecution.

Sept. 18
8:52 a.m. – A syringe was found in the men’s restroom at the DMV. AN officer disposed of it. No additional report was taken.

10:30 a.m. – An officer contacted two juveniles at a church at Seventh and F Streets.  They were supposed to be at Alternative Education. Lebanon High School administrators were notified. No additional report was taken.

10:36 a.m. – A caller said the valve was broken off a of a large outdoor propane tank overnight, in the 1600 block of Airway Road. The lock was cut to allow access to the propane tank valve area. The caller just wanted the information documented and requested extra patrol. No additional report was taken.

11:48 a.m. – An officer was out with a large group of juveniles near Seventh and F Streets. All students were counseled on loitering and they left the property. No additional report was taken.

11:52 a.m. – Edward Ramos, 38, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

12:21 p.m. – A caller spoke with an officer about the amount of transients in the area, in the 32000 block of Berlin Road. The officer advised him to call any time he needs extra patrol or if someone is on his property. An officer checked the area and noticed evidence of transient camps on the Morse Bros. Property. The officer will attempt to contact the property owner to see if enforcement action is requested. No additional report was taken.

1:14 p.m. – Joshua Thomas Gantt, 29, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

2:15 p.m. – Kasey Wayne Miller, 28, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

6:37 p.m. – A 13-year-old girl was bitten by a dog, in the 37800 block of E. Grant Street. She was helping unload gravel when the dog came up behind her and bit her on the left leg. The dog was a family pet and believed to be current on all his shots. One of the dog’s owners said she would be responsible for the medical bills and she was willing to follow quarantine instructions. The other owner had but the dog down before knowing about the quarantine. A report was taken.

9:14 p.m. – LPD picked up Nicholas Allenby, 38, from Linn County Jail on a Lebanon Municipal Court arrest warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

10:33 p.m. – Dena Ann Bundy, 27, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court felony warrant for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, heroin. She also had a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

Sept. 17
1:22 a.m. – John Andrew Mance, 29, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear, original charge first-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear, original charge resisting arrest. He also was charged with fourth-degree assault, strangulation, menacing, interfering with a police report, theft and criminal mistreatment.

1:15 p.m. – A pink and purple girls bike was taken between noon and 1 p.m. the day of the call, 400 block of Weldwood Drive.

10:45 p.m. – Veronica Sue Szuch, 21, was arrested on a Lebanon Mucniipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

Sept. 16
12:32 p.m. – A KFC employee reported that a man in a green jumpsuit was digging through garbage inside the store and acted aggressively toward the manager. A 29-year-old man was trespassed and counseled.

3:50 p.m. – A caller reported the face plate from a stereo, work toolbox set and Selmet ID were taken from his vehicle sometime overnight, in the 100 block of E. Elmore Street. The vehicle may or may not have been locked.  Some tools may have been marked with “SJ” or “Skylar.” Loss value: $105. A report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft was taken.

5:31 p.m. – A Wilco employee reported that someone stole Danner quarry boots at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 15. Value: $269.99. A report for second-degree theft was taken.

6:10 p.m. – A caller was concerned that three young girls were walking in an area of Lacomb where there are blind hills and no sidewalks, in the 34800 block of Meridian Road, Cut Off Drive. The girls walked from a residence about 5 miles away to the Lacomb Store where a Linn County Sheriff’s deputy found them. It was getting dark, so the deputy bought them some ice cream at the store and gave them, their small dog and their little red wagon a ride home. Their parents were contacted about the situation.

Sept. 15
10:35 a.m. – A woman reported her ring was stolen from a home, in the 700 block of Manor Way. She said her landlord hired a company to remodel and it appeared someone had been inside. The ring is gold with one large diamond and four smaller diamonds in the center. The ring has square sides. Harry Ritchie’s Jeweler estimated the value of the ring to be about $2,000. A report was taken.

12:17 p.m. – A caller reported windows broken out of a vehicle, in the 400 block of S. Sixth Street. A report was taken.

2:57 p.m. – A Lebanon High School student was caught with cigarettes on campus. Referred for minor in possession, tobacco.

2:59 p.m. – Two Lebanon High School students were referred for minor in possession, marijuana.

3:08 p.m. – A student at the alt-ed center was found to have alcohol and a glass pipe with marijuana residue. The student was referred for minor in possession, marijuana and minor in possession, alcohol.

9:41 p.m. – Chance Carter Laviolette, 18, was arrested for DUII.

9:55 p.m. – Six juveniles were given referrals for minor in possession, alcohol. A caller reported a group of juveniles in the area of Mayfly Park. An officer contacted a group of juveniles hiding in trees. A report was taken.

Sept. 14
4:17 a.m. – Deputies warned a transient for creating a hazard. He was pushing old shopping carts down the road, 31700 Stoltz Hill Road.

7:18 p.m. – A caller reported that a man stole a headlamp, an eight-pack of AAA batteries and a customer’s bike from 7-Eleven. The man was wearing a Call of Duty beanie and a T-shirt with a large skull on the front. The bike was a blue and black Mongoose BMX.

Sept. 13
9:11 a.m. – A caller reported that someone used a fake $100 at the eatery inside of Lowe’s Distribution Center a couple of months ago. A report was taken.

4:37 a.m. – A caller reported he found a bag of what appeared to be methamphetamine at Walmart. A report was taken.

1:59 p.m. – Amanda June Colson, 27, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. Jacob Noel Yonker, 28, was arrested on a Linn County Supervisory Authority warrant, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. A caller was concerned about a family living under a tarp near the railroad tracks and camped near the pond. The caller saw two very small children and an adult male there on Sept. 12. The caller reported it to DHS and they advised to call LPD.

Sept. 12
3:32 a.m. – Ryan Kenneth Garman, 28, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. He also had an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court.

5:55 a.m. – A caller found a black, grey and whit 21-speed Hyper brand Havoc mountain bike. Value $50. A report for found property was taken.

6:10 a.m. – A woman said her car was broken into sometime overnight, in the 400 block of F Street. A pair of Coach sunglasses, headphones and cash were taken. Loss value: $530.

7:03 a.m. – A caller said someone dug up an approximately six foot marijuana plant from a backyard, in the 0-99 block of S. Main Street. Approximately one pound of marijuana would have been usable when harvested from the plant. She is continuing to review video and will contact police if anything identifiable is located. A report was taken.

1:01 p.m. – A Lebanon High School student said he left his dark blue Samsung Galaxy Note 5, with black Otterbox, on the construction bus on Sept. 11. When he used a Find My Phone app, it pinged in the 700 hall of the high school but was then shut off. Loss value $350. A report was taken.

1:20 p.m. – A caller reported the theft of a gas cap and a small amount of gas, in the 200 block of Cascade Drive. A report was taken.

5:36 p.m. – Taylor Austin Templeton, 23, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He also was charged with third-degree theft. Jade Heather Rae Stagg, 19, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Benton County Circuit Court for hindering prosecution. She was cited and released.

6:21 p.m. – A caller found a bag filled with clothing, makeup and miscellaneous property in the bushes near her fence, in the 100 block of W. Maple Street.

8:50 p.m. – A syringe was found in a bush, near W. Grant and S. Fourth Streets. No additional report was taken.

Sept. 11
6:46 a.m. – A caller found a needle on a bench, 400 block of Main Street. An officer located it and disposed of it. No additional report was taken.

9:24 a.m. – Wendy Marie Garrison, 39, was arrested on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

12:39 p.m. – A caller said her husband found a firearm in the gutter of a hotel when he was power washing, in the 1200 block of S. Main Street. An officer retrieved the air pistol. A report for found property was taken.

6:43 p.m. – Keith Lyle Peterson, 51, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

Sept. 10
12:38 a.m. – A caller said her dog bit a man who was in her backyard, in the 1400 block of Hiatt Street. She said the man followed her from Ralston Park earlier that day. They made small talk but she did not know who he was. Officers were unable to locate the man. No additional report was taken.

7:05 a.m. – A caller said she found a large black backpack behind MegaFoods at the end of the white fence where homeless people sleep. The backpack contained a hat, old business cards and miscellaneous garbage. An officer found a debit card and returned it to its owner. No additional report was taken.

12:06 p.m. – A caller found fake social security cards near the Lesita apartments, 1800 block S. Main Street. They were destroyed. No additional report was taken.

4:11 p.m. – A caller said someone took her diamond ring, diamond necklace and matching earrings in the last couple of days, in the 100 block of S. Fifth Street. Loss value: $500. A report was taken.

6:21 p.m. – A red Trek mountain bike was found, in the 600 block of S. Second Street. It was entered into LEDS.

9:20 p.m. – A caller reported a burglary in 33200 block of Tennessee Road. Deputies searched the area and walked around the house but no suspects were located. No additional report was taken.

Sept. 9
3:06 a.m. – Andrew Lawrence Biegel, 22, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for first-degree theft. He was cited and released.

2:45 p.m. – A caller said a large mixed breed dog was running loose at River Park. Seh said the dog belonged to a local homeless man but she did not see him. Officers picked up the dog and transported it to the Justice Center.

4:33 p.m. – Dustin Brent Flaten, 29, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant from the Oregon State Parole Board for parole violation. He also had a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for driving while suspended.

7:20 p.m. – A caller found a syringe on her vehicle, in the 1800 block of S. Seventh Street. An officer responded and disposed of it. No additional report was taken.

Sept. 8
12:41 a.m. – An officer contacted two juveniles who were using vape pens at Lebanon High School. Neither were using marijuana or alcohol. Both were very polite, cooperative and honets. They had just gotten home from a high school football game in Portland. The officer spoke with their parents. One of the mothers took both of the vape pens. The officer felt both parents would take car of the issue appropriately. No additional report was taken.

1:23 a.m. – Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital employees requested a courtesy ride for someone. An officer drove the person 1.7 miles. No additional report was taken..

11:47 a.m. – Mark Allen Bodda, 59, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He was cited and released.

12:39 p.m. – A caller reported a red Next brand Power Climber men’s 18-speed bike in the bushes against the wall at Christopher Columbus Park. A report for found property was taken.

6:55 p.m. – A caller reported a man tried to use a fake $20 bill at the Dollar Tree. A report for found property was taken.

9:46 p.m. – Jeremy Wayne Hammond, 45, was arrested for DUII. BAC: .17
