Locals win Strawberry 5K, mile
Alex Solberg of Lebanon was the winner of the Strawberry Festival 5K June 1, beating 234 other runners to the finish line in 16:59.05.
Stolberg, 17, finished ahead of Dan Jenkins, 30, in second (17:06.59) and Brandon Williams, 16 (17:15.71). Both are also from Lebanon.
The first female finisher didn’t register her name. Aged 28 and listing an address of Middleboro, Mass., she finished eighth in 18:19.07.
The field included two runners from Salzburg, Austria. Thomas Ehrnleitner, 36, finished in 19:54.86 and Dagmara Stryjak, 31, ran 25:52.98.
Lukas Miller, 13, won the mile in 6:20, ahead of 131 others.
This year’s flower show, hosted by Lebanon Garden Club, received 222 entries. Blue ribbon and rosette flower show winners are as follows:
