The Lebanon Soup Kitchen served about 150 patrons at its seventh annual biscuits and gravy fund-raiser March 10.
Sean Casey, soup kitchen manager, said they cooked 30 dozen eggs and made gravy from 48 pounds of sausage, 15 pounds of bacon, and 10 gallons of milk. Three cases of biscuits were donated by Kentucky Fried Chicken.
“We feel that it went very well, and we’re excited to see what next year brings,” Casey said. “Each year it has gotten bigger and better.”
The fund-raiser is a joint effort for both the soup kitchen and Real Bowls/Real People, both managed by Casey.
Funds raised help support the two programs, which provide food to homeless and low-income people of Lebanon.
