A small crowd gathered at the district office as the Lebanon Community School District Board of Directors met in executive session on March 21.
The executive session lasted about 2 1/2 hours, at the end of which Board Chair Russ McUne spoke to the public, though there was not a public session.
He said the board will discuss the findings of the executive session at the next board meeting, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. on April 13, at Riverview School.
Here is some raw video of the interaction between McUne and the people who were waiting.
The executive session was held under the following Oregon statutes:
1. ORS 192.660(2)(d): To conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations.
2. ORS 192.660(2)(b): To consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or agent, unless he or she or the agent requests an open meeting.
3. ORS 192.660(2)(i). To review and evaluate the performance of the chief executive officer or any other public officer, employee or staff member, unless the person whose performance is being reviewed and evaluated requests an open hearing.
