Circuit Court update: Local men get jail time

Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie Jr.
Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie Jr. pleaded no contest to harassment in Linn County Circuit Court on May 8 and sentenced to 120 hours in jail.
He also was sentenced to 18 months probation.
As part of a plea agreement, charges of strangulation and second-degree disorderly conduct were dismissed.
Leslie was arrested on April 24 in an incident involving a female victim in the area around Schmizza and Dollar Tree.

Luke William Skipworth
Luke William Skipworth pleaded no contest in Linn County Circuit Court on May 7 to fourth-degree assault and was sentenced to 12 days in jail.
He also was sentenced to 36 months probation and fined $100.
Skipworth was arrested on April 25 in an incident involving a male victim in the area of Park Street.

John Clark Cole
John Clark Cole pleaded no contest to attempted fourth-degree assault in Linn County Circuit Court on May 1 and was sentenced to 24 days in jail with credit for time served.
Cole was also sentenced to 24 months probation and fined $100.
As part of a plea agreement charges of harassment and second-degree criminal mischief were dismissed.
Cole was arrested and charged in connection to an incident involving a male victim on April 9.
