David Russell Coats, 40, pleaded no contest May 19 to a charge of tampering with a witness, a Class C felony. He was sentenced to 25 months incarceration. A jury trial is scheduled July 12 for charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon for an alleged incident occurring in October 2018, and another trial in September for second- and third-degree charges of sexual abuse for allegations from November 2018 incidents.
Christy Renee Pedigo, 30, was charged May 23 with unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, and giving false information to a peace officer. It is alleged that Pedigo had in her possession a gun during a May 21 altercation. She allegedly injured a male and attempted to injure another male. She posted 10 percent of her $5,000 bail.
Bruce Alan Edwards, 49, was charged on May 16 with coercion, fourth-degree assault and strangulation constituting domestic violence for an alleged incident that occurred May 15. Edwards posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bail.
James Edward Nauta, 64, was charged May 11 with public indecency for allegedly masturbating in view of a public place on April 24.
John Roger Muller, Jr., 58, was charged May 18 with 11 counts of first-degree sexual abuse for allegations involving a minor. He posted 10 percent of a $250,000 bail on May 26.
Jon Julian Robertson, 51, was charged May 19 with three counts of fourth-degree assault, strangulation, first-degree burglary, and harassment for an alleged incident involving two females. Bail was set at $25,000.
Dominik Alan Brian Schermerhorn, 19, was charged May 20 with third-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, strangulation constituting domestic violence, third-degree sodomy, third-degree sexual abuse, using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, and first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Bail was set at $75,000.
James Andrew Linder, 33, was charged May 21 with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft, and first-degree criminal mischief.
Ricky Paul Nelson, 21, was charged May 23 with third-degree robbery, first-degree theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and harassment. Bail was set at $20,000. He was also charged June 7 with two counts of first-degree theft. Bail was set at $10,000.
Jeffrey David Brennan, Jr., 41, was charged May 23 with first-degree criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a wheelchair belonging to the Linn County Sheriff. Bail was set at $10,000.
Jamie Joy Gardner, 38, was charged May 26 with unauthorized use of a vehicle, a Class C felony.
Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 29, was charged May 19 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as failure to appear. McNees has other pending charges from April of third-degree robbery and failure to appear; identity theft, first-degree forgery and second-degree criminal trespass; third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass.
Steven Lanham, 65, was charged May 26 with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. Bail was set at $100,000.
Crystal Dawn Strickland, 33, was charged May 26 with five counts of identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and first-degree theft. She has other pending charges for identity theft; identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card; second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and failure to appear; giving false information to a police officer; and third-degree theft, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and criminal driving while suspended. A warrant was issued.
Veda Marie Lee, 45, was charged May 27 with third-degree theft and third-degree robbery. According to court documents, Lee allegedly stole merchandise from Coastal Farm & Ranch and used physical force while committing the crime. She was also charged in April for first-degree forgery, three counts of first-degree theft, identity theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle. She submitted a plea agreement pleading no contest to the forgery and unauthorized use of a vehicle charges, and one of the theft charges; the other charges would be dismissed. Bail set at $50,000.
Kasey Wayne Miller, 32, was charged May 31 with second-degree escape, a Class C felony.
Shawn Patrick Cruise, 41, was charged May 23 with unauthorized use of a vehicle and failure to register as a sex offender.
Colin Loch Kealey, 32, was charged June 6 with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Bail was set at $10,000.
Shawn Eric Aman, 51, is appealing a charge in which he was found guilty for DUII, driving while suspended, and failure to carry or present license from an April 18, 2020, incident.
Christian James Turner, 22, pleaded no contest May 27 to DUII with a .10 BAC, and reckless driving. The DUII charge was diverted, and he was sentenced to suspension of his license for 90 days and 12 months probation.
Kenneth Michael Schneider, 30, pleaded no contest May 31 to DUII with a .19 BAC. His DUII charge was diverted.
Manuel Raya-Alvarado, 38, was charged May 20 with DUII and reckless driving.
John Daniel Maham, 27, was charged June 2 with DUII, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and reckless driving. A warrant was issued June 13 for failure to appear.
Andrew Steven Poteet, 34, was charged May 13 with DUII, reckless driving, and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief for an alleged incident occurring March 31 involving a motor vehicle crash that incurred damage to others’ property.
