County budget hearings begin Monday, run through week

Linn County will hold its 2025-26 Budget Hearings on Monday, April 28; Wednesday, April 30; Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center.

No hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 29, due to the regular Board of Commissioners meeting that morning.

All meetings are open to the public.

The 4-H Extension Service District budget adoption is set for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26 and the Linn County budget adoption is set for 9:35 a.m. the same day.

Here is the tentative schedule:

Monday, April 28: 9:30 a.m., Assessor/Taxation; 9:40 a.m., Surveyor; 9:50 a.m., Fair & Expo Center; 10:05 a.m., Print Shop; 10:15 a.m., Information Tech; 10:30 a.m., G.I.S. Department; 10:40 a.m., Public Input; 10:45 a.m., Planning and Building; 10:50 a.m., County Attorney; 10:55 a.m., General Administration; 11 a.m., Board of Commissioners; 11:15 a.m., Law Library; 11:25 a.m., Property Management; 11:30 a.m., Veterans Services.

Tuesday, April 29: No Budget Hearings.

Wednesday, April 30: 9:30 a.m., 4-H District Budget Meeting; 10:30 a.m., reconvene Linn County Budget Hearings/public input; 10:40 a.m., Health Departments; 10:50 a.m., General Services; 11 a.m., Road Department; 11:15 a.m., Clerk’s Department; 11:25 a.m., Parks Department; 11:30 a.m., Justice of the Peace.

Thursday, May 1: 9:30 a.m., Public Input; 9:40 a.m., Juvenile Department; 9:50 a.m., Juvenile Detention; 10:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Office; 10:45 a.m., District Attorney’s Office; 10:55 a.m., Medical Examiner; 11 a.m., Treasurer’s Office; 11:25 a.m., Decision Making.

Friday, May 2: Decision making, if necessary.
