Crash on Mount Hope sends one to hospital

The Lebanon Fire District responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Mount Hope Drive at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 10.
Linn County Dispatch provided information that the best access for the crash would be off of Payne Dr.
Upon arrival, the on-duty battalion chief established command and found the vehicle located about a half mile from Payne Drive and half a mile from Mount Hope Drive.
Deputies of the Linn County Sheriff’s were on scene and assisted the firefighters by providing two side-by-side ATVs to get crews and equipment to the crash site. Heavy rescue extrication was required to get the occupant out of the vehicle.
A life flight helicopter was called to the scene to transport the injured occupant. It took nine firefighters and two deputies working together to provide rescue and care for the injured individual. From the time the first unit arrived on-scene, until the occupant was in the air headed to the hospital was approximately 45 minutes.
