Detra “DeeDee” Sue Carlin, 71, of Sweet Home, passed away in Redding, Calif., on Sunday, Sept.13, 2026.
She was born Feb. 3, 1955, to Georgia Irene (Everitt) and Albert Lee Hairl in Joplin, Mo.
She moved to Sweet Home in 2007 and was a member of Sweet Home Christian Church for many years. For the last several years, due to health issues, DeeDee made Avamere Nursing Home in Lebanon her home, where she made many friends among the residents and staff whom she loved dearly.
DeeDee liked to play bingo and card games. She loved spending time with her daughters, her grandson and having get-togethers with family. She enjoyed going to the coast and country drives.
She is survived by her daughter, April Hairl (Mary) of St. Louis Park, Minn.; grandson Dakota Duncan of Salem; sister Lynn Wolfe (Wayne) of Sweet Home; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by spouse Evert Carlin; daughter Lisa Stumpf; brothers Jack Masters and Gary Hairl; and sister June Gray.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Sweet Home Christian Church. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
