‘Star is Born’ film

original at LBCC

The movie classic “A Star is Born” will be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Russell Tripp Performance Center at Linn-Benton Community College.

The film will be a color remastered version of the 1937 classic in which young actress Esther Blodgett pursues her dream of Hollywood stardom with the help of seasoned actor Norman Maine. This original film inspired remakes starring Judy Garland in 1954, Barbara Streisand in 1976 and Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper in 2018.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for LBCC students or EBT/WIC card holders. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The movie starts at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available.

This is a fundraiser for Mid-Valley productions,  a non-profit live performing art and events company that aims to bring cultural, educational, and entertaining experiences to the community.
