Fire destroyed a shop and did minor damage to surrounding buildings Sunday evening in Lebanon, according to the Lebanon Fire District.
LFD personnel responded at around 7:25 p.m. Sunday to a report of a structure fire at 180 S. 12th St.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a shop behind the address fully involved in fire. Flames were seen over the top of the home and embers were falling across the street. There were multiple other homes and structures in the immediate area of the fire.
The incident commander called for a second alarm and received mutual aid from the Albany Fire Department, Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District, as well as multiple other agencies that respond to Lebanon main station to standby. It took firefighters about three hours to contain the fire, according to a statement from LFD.
The fire did cause minor damage to two of the surrounding buildings. The deck of the home where the fire started did receive damage as well. Fire fighters were able to keep the fire from destroying all but the shop that the fire started in.
Embers did cross over 12th St. and there were several spot fires that the firefighters were able to stop before they were able to grow into a larger fire.
A medic unit was called to the scene to evaluate a patient that was complaining of breathing difficulty from the smoke, however further care was not necessary. No injuries to any civilians or fire personnel were reported.
The fire is currently under investigation.
