Lebanon firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 400 block of Tangent Street early Wednesday, June 5. When the battalion chief arrived, he found an approximate 30-foot fifth wheel trailer fully involved with multiple trees as exposures and radioed a defensive fire.

The first due engine and fire medic arrived, and crews quickly went to work extinguishing the blaze. An additional engine arrived and supported crews in fighting the fire. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and extinguished without any other additional resources. South 5th Street was temporarily shut down due to fire crews and supply lines blocking the roadway. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Lebanon responded with 15 personnel on two engines, two fire medics, one rehab unit for firefighters and three chief officers. Firefighters were assisted at the scene by Lebanon Police Department and PP&L.

Lebanon Fire District would like to remind its residents to use proper heating when in any structure and not use alternative heating that is made for outdoor use.
