Fourteen arrested in Lebanon marijuana case

Fourteen people were arrested Thursday, Aug. 26, in connection with two large-scale illegal outdoor marijuana grows on neighboring properties in the 39000 block of Griggs Drive in Lebanon.

The Linn Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (LINE) executed two search warrants at the location as part of a month-long investigation into the operation. LINE investigators were assisted by members of the Albany and Lebanon police departments, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Linn and Benton County sheriff’s offices.

About 1,400 pounds of processed marijuana, 9,116 marijuana plants, 12 firearms and $6,100 were seized in the investigation. The illegal grow consisted of 61 large greenhouse structures, which were subsequently destroyed.

Franklin Lester Roles, 55, was arrested for the unlawful manufacture of marijuana, 12 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and criminal conspiracy. Lisa Dee Medina-Brown, 60, was arrested for the unlawful manufacture of marijuana and criminal conspiracy.

Also arrested were Leonel Sanchez Sarmiento, 25; Angel Zuniga Jose, 37; Luis Miguel Trugillo Jose, 24; Sostenez Cruz Clara, 30; Alberto Sarmiento Garcia, 28; Angel Jose Jose, 27; Comelio Duarte Duarte, 24; Jose Valdovinos Godinez, 23; Msrco Valdovinos Godinez, 36; Luis Silva-Solorio, 26; Simon Eduardo Vargas Pena, 29; and Javier Orozco Arroyo, 35, all for the unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of marijuana and criminal conspiracy.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information was available.
