Gallery: Kids have fun in color at Cheadle

The rain clouds held back on May 6 just long enough for a couple hundred children to run through the Kids Obstacle Dash at Cheadle Lake Park. The annual event hosted by Build Lebanon Trails included pool noodle tunnels and walls, hay bale tunnels, hula-hoop ring toss, sack races, lots of opportunity to run, obstacles to climb over, ball toss and (the best part) a bubble room.

Downtown business owners celebrated the Lebanon Downtown Association’s First Friday Cinco de Mayo event on May 5 by providing treats, drinks, raffles, salsa contests and special sales.

Customer Sara Steeves said she loves the First Friday events because the stores host fun events and they stay open longer, which works well for her because they’re usually closed by the time she gets off work.

“They’re so much fun,” she said of First Fridays.
