High school thespians celebrate season with ‘Elf, the Musical. Jr.’

Lebanon High’s performance of “Elf, The Musical, Jr.” was directed by Kevin Wong and Lindsay Lloyd.

“Typically, we do our junior musical in January, but we thought it would be fun to do a seasonal show, so we decided to do it before Christmas,” said Wong, musical director.

The event included a special fundraiser night for kids to take photos with Santa, which raised $1,000, said Lloyd, acting director.

“I think the kids that showed up really had a good time, and that was really positive for our [drama] kids because they got to feel in-character and it set off a really good tone,” Lloyd said.

Below is a gallery that includes photos which didn’t fit into our last edition of Lebanon Local. In the production, Buddy, the Elf, was played by Jay Wilcox. Santa Claus was played by Tanner Acosta. Buddy’s love interest, Jovie, was played by Taryn Foster (midway down on right).
