Highway 20 in east Linn County will be subject to delays for the next several weeks as the result of a paving project that began this morning at 7 a.m. 20 miles from Sweet Home.
A total of 5.5 miles of U.S. 20 is being paved from the South Santiam River Bridge to just east of the Rooster Rock Trailhead. The project starts today, Aug. 13, and will end on Sept. 2 with construction running 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Two-way traffic is being flagged with single lane closures. Travelers can expect up to 20-minute delays. Travelers should consider using an alternative route or expect delays.
