Lebanon and Linn police logs, May 19-26

May 26

7:29 a.m. – Caller complained that his daughter’s father was calling, texting and emailing caller and his wife. Deputy contacted the father and told him to stop. Father agreed and asked that caller also be asked to stop calling, texting and emailing. Deputy relayed message. 34300 block Meridian Rd.

8:01 a.m. – Report taken for police officer hold on Kristine Karole Stone, 57, who was allegedly “being unruly,” 12th St.

9:17 a.m. – Caller reported a black pickup with an older male and female inside asked the caller’s children to get in their car yesterday, Jadon Dr.

9:36 a.m. – Report taken for a vehicle-involved pedestrian crash, Main St. Dustin Ray Broyles, 27, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, driving without insurance, and failure to register vehicle. Pedestrian sustained minimal injury to ankle.

10:35 a.m. – Caller reported theft of five plants, 7th St.

10:49 a.m. – Samantha Andra Horn, 24, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt, 5th St.

11:27 a.m. – Georgette Diane Lugo, 52, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt, Santiam Hwy.

11:36 a.m. – Deputy responded to 32200 block Hidden Valley Rd. regarding report of animal neglect. Deputy saw horses and determined call was unfounded. Horses in good condition. No crimes.

11:45 a.m. – Georgianna Lynn Aguilar, 34, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Santiam Hwy.

12:00 p.m. – Taton Andrew McEuen, 18, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt, Main St.

12:07 p.m. – Judy Marie Rowe, 61, was cited for DUII, Main St.

1:19 p.m. – Caller reported a male stole bubble wrap and wrapped himself in it, Airport Rd. He went to Safeway, took off the wrap and his shirt and started doing push ups near the self-checkout. He attempted to steal fireworks, a magazine and two slices of cake, and pushed an employee.

1:57 p.m. – Report taken for theft of Dewalt diamond concrete cutter and grinder, 10th St.

3:35 p.m. – Report taken for harassment when a male chest-bumped his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, Main St. He was cited for harassment.

4:16 p.m. – Report taken for theft of catalytic converter, C St.

6:54 p.m. – Alison Jade Miller, 39, was cited for Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for probation violation and failure to appear, a Polk County Circuit Court warrant for probation violation, and Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failures to appear on original charges of attempt to elude, theft II, reckless driving and driving while suspended.

10:57 p.m. – Aaron Reed Monroe Coldiron, 38, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation.

May 25

1:52 a.m. – Caller stated a man walked by with a dog and made a comment, Elmore St. Officer determined nothing criminal took place.

9:46 a.m. – Caller complained of speeders in area of 41300 block of Lacomb Dr. Deputies performed extra patrols, did not note excessive speeds.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported a male appeared to be hiding from someone in the courtyard and wanted him to move on, Main St.

10:12 a.m. – Taton Andrew McEuen, 18, was cited for driving without a seat belt, 5th St.

10:59 a.m. – Benjamin Alexander Bailey, 25, was cited for driving without a seat belt, Oak St.

11:17 a.m. – Stephen Michael Scantlin, 49, was cited for driving while suspended, Main St.

11:23 a.m. – Report taken for theft of semi-automatic pistol and magazine, Park St.

11:48 a.m. – Lucas Michael Allen Melbye, 24, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Park St.

11:58 a.m. – Kourtney Lynn Pelkey, 25, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Main St.

12:42 p.m. – Brandon J. Cloonan, 40, was cited for driving while suspended, Main St.

12:54 p.m. – Nancy Jean Miner, 71, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Airport Rd.

2:59 p.m. – Report taken for damaged window and theft of bag full of martial arts uniform, Market St. Loss valued at $600.

4:36 p.m. – Report taken for report of a male assaulting two people, Main St.

5:04 p.m. – Caller reported a male acting aggressive and provoking him to fight, yelling racial slurs and telling caller he’s not safe in his own home, Market St. Officer advised how to obtain a protective order.

6:32 p.m. – Caller reported theft of planters and one of them was found at a residence one street over at a home where their stolen bike had been found a week earlier, Grant St.

7:05 p.m. – Caller reported a female who’s been trespassed from Wilco was on location, and the male with her was wearing the store’s vest, acting strange and carrying an ax.

7:36 p.m. – Patrick James Mallory, 29, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original citation.

8:40 p.m. – Joseph Uriah Curtis, 34, was cited for driving while suspended, Park St.

9:37 p.m. – Rachell Ann Gandrud, 41, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original citation charge, and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft III.

May 24

5:26 a.m. – Report of stolen Harley motorcycle entered into law enforcement data system, 10th St.

8:36 a.m. – Report taken for theft of gasoline from vehicle, E St.

8:40 a.m. – Deputies recovered stolen vehicle in 34000 block E. Lacomb Rd. Honda Accord was stolen out of Albany. It was located at Lacomb store by a deputy. Sara Lorain, 33, of Lebanon, arrested for possession of stolen vehicle after, according to Sheriff’s Office, she was seen walking from the vehicle.  Report taken.

9:23 a.m. – Ruben Valdez, 45, of Sweet Home, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief after report of off-roading at Waterloo Park, 31200 block 1st St., Waterloo. Sheriff’s Office was contacted by county Parks Department regarding someone doing “cookies” in the field of Waterloo Park. Deputies arrived on scene and noticed deep ruts on both the east and west part of the field closest to the entrance. Deputies tracked down Valdez from a license plate seen by a camper. He was located in the area fishing with his sons. 

9:43 a.m. – Report taken for theft of personal documents, cell phone, credit cards, clothes and money, Santiam Hwy. A female who is listed as a missing person through Portland said she got a ride from two women who parted ways with her in Lebanon, taking off with her belongings.

10:19 a.m. – Report taken for cash taken from backpack in locker room while owner was in gym class, 5th St. Loss valued at $700.

10:23 a.m. – Caller reported box of found kittens behind Grocery Outlet.

10:32 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle with no visible placard or disability license was parked in a wheelchair-only parking spot, Santiam Hwy. Officers unable to respond due to limited staff.

11:09 a.m. – Laura Donel Sowers, 68, was taken into custody for alleged restraining order violation, Main St.

11:22 a.m.- Report taken for theft of air pods from locker room while owner was in class, 5th St. Loss valued at $150.

11:48 a.m. – Joseph Vargas, 37, of Lebanon, arrested on two outstanding warrants. Cited and released. 33000 block Brewster Rd. Report taken.

12:02 p.m. – Stephen Michael Scantlin, 49, of Lebanon, cited for second-degree criminal trespass on Weyerhaeuser property, 43100 block Snow Peak Dr. According to Sheriff’s Office, Scantlin was contacted three days in a row on Weyerhaeuser property in his motorhome. After multiple warnings, he was arrested for trespassing. Cited and released. Report taken.

12:25 p.m. – Caller reported threats from people she doesn’t know after she got into an argument with them on social media when she stuck up for a friend regarding a DUII arrest. She said the subjects threatened her and her kids.

1:22 p.m. – Officer responded to report of damage to strawberry fountain in Strawberry Plaza. Previously stem had been torn off, and now leaves were bent upward.

1:33 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 30000 block Berlin Rd. Roselynn Puckett, 28, of Sweet Home, cited for failure to perform duties of driver, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, failure to register vehicle and failure to maintain lane. According to Sheriff’s Office, Puckett’s Hyundai Sonata ran out of gas. She said she was parked on the side of the road and accidentally released the parking brake, causing the car to roll down the hill and crash into two fences. She then left the scene without contacting any of the property owners or contacting police. Report taken.

3:42 p.m. – Non-injury crash reported at intersection of Sodaville Rd./Spring St., Sodaville. According to Sheriff’s Office, Kathleen Vandiver, operating Toyota Yaris, approached stop sign, looked both directions, did not see any traffic that would prevent her from making a turn and turned into the roadway. During her turn, she was hit by a Ford F250 operated by Larry Harrington coming over the hill that she did not see. No citations issued.  Report taken.

4:20 p.m. – Ashley Waters, 32, of Lebanon, and Aaron Barger, 37, of Lebanon, both cited for outstanding warrants and warned about trespass following report of trespassing in 32800 block Berlin Rd. Report taken.

6:02 p.m. – Officers took a female into “police officer hold” following a report she said she wanted to end her life.

6:43 p.m. – Caller reported mail stolen in 33600 block Bond Rd. Reported that this is ongoing issue in area. Report taken.

7:32 p.m. – Kempton was cited for Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for failures to appear on original criminal citations, a Linn County Justice Court warrant for giving false information to police, and a Marion County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of unlawful delivery of marijuana. Sonny Agrelius was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original criminal citation, a Linn County Sheriff’s Office warrant for parole violation escape II, and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for theft II.

May 23

12:54 a.m. – Report taken for theft of two 12-packs of Truly beer, Main St. One pack was recovered. Video image of thief recovered from store. Loss valued at $20.99.

1:52 a.m. – Cody Norman, 31, of Lebanon, cited for driving without license, driving uninsured. Santiam Hwy./Fir Lane.

3:14 a.m. – Jeremiah Dean Boast, 21, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for parole violation criminal mischief; Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appears on original charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, giving false information, theft, criminal mischief, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and criminal citations; and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for giving false information to police. He was taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that was listed as stolen, Main St.

7:44 a.m. – Report taken for theft of company cell phone and tools from a vehicle, 15th St. Loss valued at $460.

7:51 a.m. – Caller reported a male neighbor was yelling and banging in the garage, E St. The male locked himself in the garage and was trying to wake the resident for help.

8:04 a.m. – Caller reported a Penske truck was perpendicular to plastic median barriers near Airport and Santiam Hwy. intersection earlier that morning. Caller said the truck clipped the left panel of his pickup. Penske driver told caller she would contact him later, but never did. The driver told officer she made an illegal left turn out of Safeway gas, and she would call later with insurance info.

8:10 a.m. – Report taken for theft II and unlawful entry of vehicle, 5th St. Car owner reported theft of car battery, car jack, Husky tool bag, Black and Decker bag, tools, and money. Loss valued at $133.

8:26 a.m. – Report taken for possible animal neglect, Tangent St. Caller reported dog is malnourished, may have mange, and might not have food, water or shelter. Dog was taken to vet. Officer was provided pictures and video of dog, whose appearance was “alarming.” Owner told officer she feeds the dog, but could not explain why it was malnourished. Officer waiting for vet’s report.

3:31 p.m. – Lance Kreisber,  20, of Tigard, cited for speeding, 75/55, 4100 block Santiam Hwy.

3:35 p.m. – Caller reported a female cursed at students who were getting off a bus in front of school, then tried to run them over, 5th St. Officer contacted the female who said the accusations were false.

3:46 p.m. – A male with a doll on a cross and the letters KKK was trespassed from Walmart.

4:00 p.m. – Juvenile, 16, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 84/55, 29400 block Santiam Hwy.

4:12 p.m. – Shawn James Leone, 21, was taken into custody for a domestic disturbance, Joy St. He allegedly put his mother in a choke hold.

4:45 p.m. – Deputy located two roadside fires near Sanderson’s Bridge, 36800 block Hwy. 226. Deputy was able to put one fire out; the second was put out by a passerby before the deputy arrived. 

7:04 p.m. – Report taken for possible restraining order violation, Carolina St.

8:28 p.m. – Report taken for found drugs in a baggy in a parking lot, Weldwood Dr.

10:57 p.m. – Dennis Hamilton Borden, 40, was cited for a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of trespassing.

11:28 p.m. – Mark Bowers, 51, of Lebanon, arrested on Linn County Justice Court probation violation warrant following report of suspicious vehicle in 400 block Cascade Dr. Report taken.

May 22

2:33 a.m. – Monte Lee, 50, of Lebanon, cited for driving while suspended, 1200 block W. Airport Rd.

8:02 a.m. – Report taken for damaged vehicle, 12th St. Owner believes her ex was involved in the damage.

9:10 a.m. – Report taken for theft of black and green Kawasaki motorcycle, 3rd St. Loss valued at $8,500.

12:41 p.m. – Officer responded to report of dog being hit by car accidentally, and the dog bit a person who tried to help it, Main St. Dog was taken to vet and owner contacted.

3:21 p.m. – Stephen Michael Scantlin, 49, of Lebanon, arrested for failure to appear warrant out of Lebanon Municipal Court. Cited and released. Snow Peak/Shingle Mill drives.

3:23 p.m. – Report taken for runaway juvenile from his foster home, 10th St.

3:50 p.m. – Caller reported newspaper and clothes laying around front yard, and a note left on the porch.

9:43 p.m. – Deputy located illegally dumped carpet and padding in 4100 block Snow Peak main line. Weyerhaeuser updated.

May 21

11:36 a.m. – Caller reported her purse was stolen at a yard sale. 31700 Eastway St. Caller reported she sat her purse down on a table at garage sale, left the location and came back to find the purse missing. Total value, including cash, was about $100. 

1:18 p.m. – Caller reported a witness saw a man get out of a car and pull a dalmation dog out of it and leave it behind, Rose St. The caller took the dog into their care, and a man and woman approached claiming it was their dog, that the dog jumped out of the car, and that they wanted it back. Officer unable to respond in time.

1:19 p.m. – Caller reported a male driver refused to leave a drive-thru, Santiam Hwy.

2:25 p.m. – Christy Renee Pedigo, 30, was arrested after a reported fight involving a gun and up to eight people, Main St.

6:40 p.m. – Tina Ann Rood, 45, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for theft III.

6:43 p.m. – Report taken for theft of 15 gallons of racing fuel, Mountain River. Loss valued at $410.

7:51 p.m. – Micah Joseph Schulte, 41, was cited for an Albany Municipal Court warrant for theft II. Also cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and improper display of registration.

8:46 p.m. – Darrell Gene Mullenix was laying down on the grass, Grant St. Officer advised him not to do that because “passersby might think he has expired.”

9:31 p.m. – Jared Schooley, 47, arrested on felony second-degree assault warrant after Sheriff’s Office responded to report of suspicious vehicle in 29900 block Santiam Hwy. Transported to County Jail.

9:52 p.m. – Bryan Watts, 47, of Sweet Home, cited and released on warrants, 29900 block Santiam Hwy.

11:08 p.m. – Stephanie Ericka Bosvert was cited for driving without an operator’s license and driving uninsured, Tangent St.

May 20

1:24 a.m. – Dog owner cited for barking dog nuisance, Steelhead Ct.

4:02 a.m. – Tiara Lanae Hoffman, 36, of Albany, cited for driving while suspended, failure to carry proof of insurance, 2nd Street/Airport Rd.

7:54 a.m. – Caller reported a driver who appeared to be sleepy and had his eyes closed at one point which almost caused him to hit another vehicle. He also drifted into oncoming traffic and sped more than 80 MPH, Crowfoot Rd. Officer conducted a field sobriety test and found no probably cause for DUII; issued a warning. Driver admitted he was tired.

8:59 a.m. – Caller reported her daughter was threatened and assaulted on the school bus by another female who shares a class with the girl at Seven Oak. The school allegedly won’t disclose whether the female will be disciplined.

10:47 a.m. – _Scott Hart, 33, of Lebanon, cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 36600 block Rock Hill Dr.

11:19 a.m. – Caller reported male stole pickup from 500 block Oregon St. following physical altercation. According to Sheriff’s Office, victim got into an argument with an acquaintance, Rickey Nelson over the use of a Toyota Tacoma. Victim did not give Nelson permission and a physical altercation ensued. According to Sheriff’s reports, Nelson took cell phone before driving off in the Toyota Tacoma. Minor injuries reported. Victim refused medical evaluation. Vehicle valued at approximately $4,000. Investigation continuing. Report taken.

12:49 p.m. – Stolen vehicle returned to owner, 2300 block Fuller Lane. The1969 Ford pickup truck had been reported stolen to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office a few days prior. It ended up parked along Fuller Lane. Caller reported the truck was blocking her driveway the day before, but it had been moved down the road in front of another driveway. Ford pickup was recovered and the owner picked it up.

1:53 p.m. – Report taken for theft of flatbed trailer, Airway Rd.

1:56 p.m. – Report taken for criminal mischief of a male allegedly tearing up a phone book and spreading it on someone’s lawn, Ash St.

3:30 p.m. – Michael Perry, 34, of Lebanon, arrested for outstanding warrants, 2300 block Fuller Lane. Report taken.

4:17 p.m. – Elderly couple swindled out of $1,900 after being told to purchase gift cards in exchange for $80 million, $5,000 a week for life, a new Mercedes Benz and gasoline for a year. 31000 block Ty Valley Rd. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

4:53 p.m. – Restaurant manager reported a female refused to leave the drive-thru until she finished filling out a complaint form, Santiam Hwy. The driver allegedly used profanity in anger when she learned drink prices increased .30 cents.

4:59 p.m. – Caller reported a male was leaning back in his car seat and his hand was moving up and down, Grove St. Caller took her granddaughter inside. She couldn’t identify exactly what the man was doing, but was concerned. The vehicle was unoccupied by the time police got there.

9:20 p.m. – Eric Steven York, 37, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, and Linn County Circuit Court warrants for multiple failures to appear.

10:10 p.m. – Caller reported a male shined his car lights at her, followed her, took her picture, flipped her off and “flashed gang signs” at her, Airport Rd. She said she’s recently been stalked by Mexican gang members, and she’s been followed in multiple cities but only calls to report when she’s in Lebanon.

10:37 p.m. – Trelane Hugh Hunter, 47, was cited for driving without a valid operator’s license, Main St.

May 19

1:14 a.m. – Alexandra Tevogt, 33, of Sweet Home, arrested on warrants, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, 3100 block S. Santiam Hwy. Report taken.

2:12 a.m. – William Lee McDaniel, 56, of Sweet Home, arrested on outstanding Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation, 2400 S. Main Rd. Report taken.

11:17 a.m. – Will Nathan Lewis III, 24, was cited for a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failures to appear on original citation charges, and a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to perform duties.

1:21 p.m. – Officer responded to call about a woman who was slamming her head into a wall and cut her hand from a picture frame, Elmore St.

2:06 p.m. – Robert Edward Hilliard was cited for a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for criminal driving, Ash St.

3:46 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 33400 block Brewster Rd. Operator Kaylee Harmon, 21, driving a 2017 Jeep Renegade, was unable to detail how crash happened, according to Sheriff’s Office. No injuries reported. Report taken.

4:38 p.m. – Diana Payne, 53, of Lebanon, cited on warrant, 30300 block Fairview Rd. Report taken.

4:39 p.m. – Caller reported two males on bikes were carrying a dummy with writing that read, “Black lives don’t matter,” Santiam Hwy.

5:50 p.m. – Caller reported a male had a “dead black person” tied to his bike with the letters “KKK” on it, Cascade Dr.

11:44 p.m. – Aaron Matthew Spinney, 29, Corvallis, cited for driving while suspended, 3100 block S. Santiam Hwy.
