Lebanon City Council election contested in two of four seats thus far

Six candidates, including two incumbents, have been certified thus far for vacant Lebanon City Council seats, according to City Clerk Linda Kaser.

The two seats in which there is competition are Mayor, which thus far pits incumbent Paul Aziz against current Ward 3 City Council member Bob Elliott.

Two candidates, Duston Denver and Michelle Steinhebel, will be on the Nov. 6 ballot for Elliott’s seat.

Incumbent Wayne Rieskamp is thus far unchallenged in Ward 1.

Karin Stauder is running in Ward 2, for the seat currently held by Floyd Fisher, who as of noon on July 26, had not filed, according to City Hall.

The deadline to file for a Lebanon City Council seat is Monday, July 30, for the November General Election. Interested candidates must contact Kaser to schedule a filing appointment at (541) 258-4264.
