Lebanon Community Chorus is signing up singers for its 2019 Winter Season.
Registration will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, followed by rehearsal at 7 p.m. in the choir room at Lebanon High School, 1700 S. Fifth St. Registration will also be held Sept. 19 and 26. All singers 18 and older – regardless of experience – are welcome to join the LCC. Younger singers, with approval of the director, are also accepted. For more than 50 years the choir has included singers from all over Linn County and beyond.
Dues are $20.
Kevin Wong will direct the LCC this season in a program blending classical compositions with international flavors and seasonal favorites. John Rutter’s “Magnificat” will be the featured work, followed by the unique “International Carol Suites,” music that weaves together familiar and lesser- known carols in a thrilling and multicultural celebration of the season.
Winter Season rehearsals will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each Thursday evening in the LHS choir room; additional rehearsals will be scheduled on the Tuesday evenings following Thanksgiving. The winter concert is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in the High School auditorium.
