Lebanon man arrested on child pornography charges

Andrew Duncan Irving, 31, was arrested on charges of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse, pornography.

Linn County Sheriff’s detectives served a search warrant at a residence on Sand Ridge Court in Lebanon at 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 19, according to a news release.

The search warrant was the culmination of an extensive investigation into the online distribution of child pornography over the Internet from an IP address in Lebanon.

Detectives served the search warrant when Irving arrived home from work. During an interview with detectives, Irving admitted to searching the Internet for child pornography and downloading its contents.

Following interviews and preliminary on-site digital forensics, Irving was arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail. Additional charges may be forthcoming following digital forensic examination of devices seized during the search warrant.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted during the search warrant by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Lebanon Police Department.
