Lebanon man arrested on multiple sex charges

Lebanon police have arrested a 36-year-old man on multiple sex crime charges involving a victim under the age of 12.

Dustin Dwayne Patterson-Olah was arrested on Sept. 11, and arraigned the following day in Linn County Circuit Court on five counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of attempted sodomy in the first degree.

The Linn County District Attorney’s Office accuses Patterson-Olah of sexual contact by touching, according to the sexual abuse charges. The  attempted sodomy charge alledges that Patterson attempted to engage in deviate sexual intercourse with the victim in six distinct incidents from Jan. 1, 2015 to July 28.

The victim’s age during that period ranged from less than 12 to less than 14, according to court records.

All charges are class B felonies.

Patterson-Olah remained held without bail Thursday at Linn County Jail.

He is scheduled for a status hearing at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.
