Lebanon Senior Graduates From Online School

Willamette Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school serving students in grades K-12 recognized the school’s 122 graduating high school seniors on Saturday, June 8. The ceremony took place at Scio High School to celebrate with their peers, faculty and family members.

The Class of 2024 at Willamette Connections Academy represents a diverse group of students hailing from various cities and towns across Oregon from Portland to Eugene, including Lebanon and Sweet Home. Charlie Morris, of Lebanon, was among this graduating class.

Among the graduating class, 35% have plans to enroll in two- or four-year colleges or universities, including Oregon State University, Portland State University and the University of Oregon. Additionally, 11% intend to enter the workforce, 8% plan to take a gap year and others plan to pursue vocational training or enter the military.

Collectively, the graduating class earned more than $80K in scholarship funds.

Students at Willamette Connections Academy have access to a rigorous curriculum, advanced classes, extracurricular activities and flexible scheduling, allowing them to take ownership of their unique educational journey. During this past school year, the academy introduced its career programming to middle and high school students, combining traditional courses with industry-leading, career-focused options to help students develop the right skills, gain real-world experiences and make industry connections to feel confident and prepared for their unique future.
