Library offers summer youth volunteer program

Students 13 to 18 years old are invited to join the Lebanon Public Library’s
Summer Youth Volunteer Program 2022. Duties for youth volunteers include assisting with
set up for performers, helping children during handson activity days, and assisting librarians during performances. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to hand out prizes and signup participants for the summer reading incentives program.

Thursday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., youth volunteers can help shelve in the children’s
area of the library. Youth will also be given the opportunity to help with story times and other events.

To qualify, students must be between the ages of 13 and 18, must turn in a completed Youth Volunteer Application, and must attend a mandatory orientation session.
Additionally, the library is excited to announce the Teen Advisory Group. This is a new
program that will allow teens more opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. To be
eligible for Teen Advisory Group, students must already be in high school or entering high
school in the fall.

Youth Volunteer Applications are available at the Lebanon Public Library. Applications must be turned in by Friday May 27.
