Spring election ballots are in voters’ hands and are due back May 21.
Most local candidates are running unopposed, including two open seats on the Lebanon School Board.
Running for Zone 1 is incumbent Tammy Schilling and for Zone 4 is incumbent Richard Borden.
For the Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District Board of Directors, candidates are Shelly Garrett for Position 3 and Robert D. Taylor for Position 5. Both positions have four-year terms.
Garrett died April 16 (see page 1).
For the five-member Lebanon Aquatic District, candidates are James P. Ruef for Position 1 and Julie A. Mille for Position 3.
Christopher Walsh and Mark E. McAllister are seeking Position 2.
Walsh is retired from the Public Works Department in Burbank, Calif., where he worked for 18 years. He said he served in the U.S. Army active duty and reserve from 1979 to 1985.
McCallister works for McAllister’s Carpet Cleaning, and he has been a substitute teacher.
Winners will serve four-year terms.
Walsh’s name was omitted as a candidate in the last edition because Lebanon Local did not receive information about his candidacy prior to publication.
