Lebanon youngsters were among the district winners in the 2023 Elks Hoop Shoot competition hosted in January by Sweet Home Elks Lodge 1972. Lebanon winners in the 12-13 year-old category were Emily Estrada, left, who made 19 of 25 free throws in the competition, beating out a nationals qualifier from last year, and Marcos Aguilar, who also made 19 of 25. They are pictured at left with Bobby McDermond, Grand Knight for the Sweet Home Elks. In the 8-9 year-old division, Kaylee Jennings, right, made 15 of 25 shots from the free-throw line. Other participants in the competition from Lebanon were Brock Freeman and Abby Estrada.
