Eric Laurel of Beaverton was the top finisher in the Roaring River Half Marathon held Feb. 3 at Roaring River Park.
The event is held annually as a fund-raiser for the Lebanon High School track and field programs.
Laurel finished in 1:19:19, within eyesight of second-place finisher Alejandro Fallas of Portland (1:19:41). Nathan Smith of Corvallis was third in 1:21.98.
Stephanie Hendstrom of Portland was the first woman in on the 13.1-mile course, finishing 10th overall in 1:26.03.
Michell Christensen of Lebanon was the first local finisher, 29th in 1:49.45, a step ahead of Mike Rochelle, also of Lebanon (1:49.46). Other Lebanon finishers were Roger Humble, 47th in 2:01.17; Allan Dannen, 62nd in 2:12.44; and Anna Chlebowski, 68th in 2:18:40.
In the 10K, Alex Solberg was the first finisher, in 37:03.56, followed by Dan Jenkins of Lebanon in second (38:33.02). Carissa Larson of Corvallis was the first female finisher, 10th overall in 49:31.98.
Other finishers from Lebanon were Adam Hearn, sixth in 46:38.21; Casey Vandenbos, seventh in 48:11.14; Brian Murray, ninth in 49:10.03;
Michael Giulietti, 17th in 55:49.41; Tyler Boschma, 18th in 56:50.79 and Kallie Boschma, 19th in 56:52.44; and Sandi Cox, 26th in 58:24.83.
Tony Grinder of Albany was the top 5K finisher, in 24:51.14, with top female Sara Bond of Albany finishing fourth in 25:41.79. Lebanon finishers in the top 20 were Josie Cleveland, seventh in 26:26.48; Kelly Cleveland, 12th in 28:32.93; Eric Holland, 13th in 29:31.52; Sara Holland, 14th in 29:31.62; Jonah Fouts, 18th in 32:38.04; and Micahel Fouts, 19th in 32:39.44.
