Mayor Paul Aziz is currently in the hospital with multiple infections that are not COVID-related. It is recorded he is recovering well, is being moved out of the ICU today, and is expecting a lengthy but successful recovery.
Council President Jason Bolen has been asked to take over as mayor for the next couple of months while Aziz is recovering.
