Linn County Public Health will provide COVID-19 vaccinations to persons in Group 6 as well as previously eligible groups with 400 doses available for the Tuesday, March 30, and 800 available doses for Friday, April 2, at the mass vaccination clinic at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center, according to Health Director Todd Noble.
Tuesday’s clinic will include 3,558 first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine and Friday’s clinic will include 2,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine.
Noble said Group 6 includes individuals at least 45 years old with underlying medical conditions; migrant and seasonal farm workers; seafood and agricultural workers; people living in low-income senior housing; senior congregate and independent living; homeless persons; individuals displaced by wildfires; wildland firefighters and anyone who is pregnant.

Linn County Commissioner Roger Nyquist contacted Gov. Kate Brown’s office Tuesday morning and the county was given permission to assist those in Group 6.
“This is a very positive sign that we are expanding the eligibility criteria,” Nyquist said. “At the same time, we want to make sure those with the greatest needs have access and are getting vaccinated. We will continue to closely monitor this situation.”
