Tom Burton Fitzgerald
April 2, 1952 – Oct. 26, 2024
Tom Burton Fitzgerald, born in Albany, OR, and raised in Scio, OR, graduated with honors from Scio High in 1970 and earned a Marketing Management degree from Oregon State University in 1975. Tom dedicated 37 years to Oregon Metallurgical Titanium, where he was a well-respected coworker and longtime member of the United Steelworkers union.
A man of many interests, Tom enjoyed horseback riding, reading, and road trips on his Harley Fat Boy. He maintained an active lifestyle, including lap swimming at the YMCA, weightlifting and distance bicycling. On his Lebanon property, he ran a Christmas tree farm for several years and pursued a love for woodworking, even building much of his home and furniture.
Tom is survived by his sister Vernadene Anderson; his daughter Kaitlin Sword, son-in-law David, and granddaughter Teagan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lois, and brother-in-law, Peter Anderson.

Tom’s legacy of loyalty, dedication and craftsmanship will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
