Lebanon Police Department responded to the report of an adult male found lying on the ground with a possible gunshot wound in the vicinity of 95 E Sherman St. on Oct. 31 at approximately 2:47 a.m.
The male subject was transported to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries.
The LPD and Linn Co. Sheriff’s Office worked together to investigate the matter. Initial findings suggest that an altercation between a group of individuals led to an exchange of gunfire in the area of 76 E Sherman St., ultimately resulting in two individuals sustaining gunshot wounds.
LPD is actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and working to determine the sequence of events and to identify any potential individuals involved. There is no ongoing threat to the community, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
