11:49 p.m. – Report taken for seized single shot .22 rifle found by a dumpster near Shanico Inn. Male caller reported it came from a female felon on probation, and she said it came from the caller, also a convicted felon. Both denied claim to the gun.
April 16
3:27 a.m. – Joseph Vargas, 37, of Lebanon, arrested on multiple warrants after traffic stop. Transported to Linn County Jail. 31000 block 3rd St. Report taken.
9:59 a.m. – Report taken for theft of tools and mountain bike, Wassom St. Loss valued at $3,000.
10:39 a.m. – Caller reported burglary in 31300 block Waterloo Rd. After male and female were caught trespassing, caller noticed items missing from shop area. Report taken.

9:50 a.m. – Anthony Lee Marker, 31, was cited for Lebanon warrants for failures to appear on trespassing citations, and an Oregon Parole Board warrant for parole violation on burglary charges.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported a crying toddler was alone in a car, 9th St. Officer found the kid eating chicken nuggets, and was told he fell asleep on the way home from McDonald’s. The sunroof was open and babysitter stayed inside with a line of sight on him, but admitted she wasn’t always watching him. Parent and babysitter were counseled.
4:20 p.m. – Caller reported theft of 2014 VW Jetta, with cat and phone in car, keys were taken from owner’s purse.
7:00 p.m. – Caller reported dirt bike riders on school property, 36900 block Victory Dr. Deputy unable to locate.

3:09 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office responded to report of overdose in 31000 block 4th St., Waterloo. James Cripe, 51, of Waterloo, allegedly collapsed after smoking unknown drug, according to Sheriff’s log. Did not “cooperate” with law enforcement, but voluntarily went to hospital for treatment. 5:16 a.m. – Misti Rae Ann Rowe, 24, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 82/55, 5600 block Santiam Hwy.
8:22 a.m. – Report taken for theft of 10 or 12 foot dump trailer, Brewster Rd. Loss valued at $10,000.

10:51 a.m. – Responded to report of female shooting up and lunging at a car with an ax, Santiam Hwy.
11:10 a.m. – Julia Trietsch, 34, of Albany, arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct, transported to Linn County Jail. 2900 block S. Santiam Hwy. Report taken.
1:45 p.m. – Joseph Robert Vargas, 37, was cited for a Lebanon warrant for failure to perform the duties of a driver.
1:57 p.m. – Monroe was cited for Linn County warrants for failures to appear on DUI, five citations and driving while suspended charges, and an IID violation.
4:28 p.m. – Report taken for attempted theft of a cart full of items from Walmart.
4:28 p.m. – Deputies responded to female who was unresponsive in portable toilet, 2600 block S. Santiam Hwy. Woman was not breathing and had very faint pulse. Deputy administered Narcan and woman became alert and responsive. She was transported by medics to hospital.
8:03 p.m. – CJ Lutz, 36, was cited for Lebanon warrants for contempt of court and parole violation for second degree forgery, and a Linn County warrant for failures to appear on charges of child neglect and distribution of methamphetamine and heroin.

9:46 p.m. – Kevin Austin Fowler, 37, was cited for DWR-misd., 2nd St.
11:57 p.m. – Zachary Spencer, 38, of Lebanon, arrested for DUII after, according to Sheriff’s Office, driving off road and crashing in 40800 block Lacomb Dr. in 2006 Dodge R35. Reported as injury crash but further details not available. Report taken.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported an extra water bottle on her table, 12th St. She found it there when she came home. An hour later she said she thinks her lack of sleep is causing her to think the bottles were moved.

9:42 a.m. – Caller reported bicycle stolen from 36600 block W. Airport Rd. Value $400. Report taken.
11:01 a.m. – Connor Harrison Snodgrass, 22, was cited for third-degree theft at Walgreens.
11:43 a.m. – Caller reported lame horse in 39600 block Baptist Church Dr. Deputy visited location, contacted owners, learned the horse has severe arthritis and is under veterinary care. No further action.

8:37 a.m. – Responded to a request for a bus light violation letter to be sent to the driver of a gold 2017 Toyota Camry which did not stop on 2nd Street as children were being unloaded.
10:51 a.m. – Vehicle burglary reported in 30100 block Santiam Hwy. Three five-gallon fuel cans stolen, valued at $210. One of the plastic cans is a plastic boat motor fuel can with hose and primer bulb attached. Approximately $5 taken from inside vehicle. Report taken.
10:56 a.m. – Hit-and-run crash reported near intersection Denny School Road/Oak St. Porperty damage $500. Vehicle struck a road sign on Denny School and continued. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
1:53 p.m. – Caller reported burglary in 1800 block S. 12th St. Approximately $23,200 worth of items missing from shop, including camping gear, exercise equipment, lawn mower, three-wheeler, welders and tools. Report taken.

9:22 a.m. – Two-vehicle non-injury crash occurred near intersection of Old Santiam Hwy./Waterloo Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, driver of one vehicle ran stop sign, causing crash. Names not released. Deputies following up on contacting and citing driver. Report taken.
12:39 p.m. – Kasey Wayne Miller, 32, was cited for a Lebanon warrant for PV theft III, and Linn County warrants for possession of methamphetamine, interfering with a police officer, and failures to appear on original charges of citations and possession of heroin.

1:55 p.m. – Connor Harrison Snodgrass, 22, was cited for trespassing, Santiam Hwy.
2:01 p.m. – Ryan Wilson was cited for trespassing and resisting arrest, Park St. He was given a 365-day trespass from city parks.
2:08 p.m. – Paul Conklin was cited for a Lebanon warrant for PV identity theft, a Linn County warrant for first-degree forgery, an Albany warrant for possession of a restricted weapon, and a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to carry and present a driver’s license.
2:40 p.m. – Hit and run reported in 1700 block Strawberry Lane. According to Sheriff’s Office, Delores Gutelius, 86, of Lebanon was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima when she backed into the side of a work van, which caused house doors to slide off and into a Ford F350 pickup, scratching paint and causing roughly $2,000 in damage. Gutelius will be submitted for re-test with DMV. Report taken.
3:13 p.m. – Caller reported 11-year-old male screaming and slamming doors for over an hour, Sherman St. Boy said he was upset about his mom turning off his video game.
4:37 p.m. – Shawn Patrick Cruise, 41, was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a forgery instrument.
4:53 p.m. – Thomas Charles Trotts, 48, was cited for Lebanon warrants for contempt and failure to appear on an original criminal citation charge, and Linn County warrants for computer crime, second-degree theft, and failures to appear on original charges of third-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault, identity theft and criminal citations.
5:33 p.m. – Mountain bike found in 1200 block Cascade Dr. Turned in to Sheriff’s Office, where it can be claimed with proper description. Report taken.

April 28
1:49 a.m. – Deputy stopped vehicle in 37500 block Rock Hill Dr. for erratic driving and speeding. Two juveniles, both without licenses, were on a joyride. Parents contacted, driver was cited. Report taken.
3:16 a.m. – Samuel Monroe Jr., 44, of Lebanon, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. 2300 block S. Santiam Hwy. Report taken.
4:52 a.m. – Cheryl McKendry, 43, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 80/55, 35000 block Hwy. 34.
8:00 a.m. – Thomas Joshua Gantt, 33, was cited for criminal trespassing I, Burdell Blvd.
8:19 a.m. – Derek Bellamy,. 34, and Shaylee Brogden-Sherer, 29, arrested after fleeing police following attempted traffic stop near Park/Sherman intersection. Pursuit continued to S. Main St., where it ended at dead-end driveway in 700 block Baker St. Bellamy taken into custody after short foot pursuit. Charged with felony attempt to elude, reckless driving, two counts reckless endangering, two counts second-degree criminal mischief, and U.S. Marshal’s warrant for escape. Brogden-Scherer allegedly broke into two separate residents while fleeing on foot, was located in a bedroom in one residence and was taken into custody after allegedly fighting with officers. Charged with misdemeanor attempt to elude, two counts of first-degree burglary, resisting arrest and multiple local warrants. Both lodged at Linn County Jail.
9:10 a.m. – Christopher Reibling, 43, of Lebanon, arrested for interfering with police during apprehension of another suspect. 600 Hillview Dr.
10:25 a.m. – Gloria Bennington, 54, of Lebanon, arrested on warrants following traffic stop Highway 20/Knox Butte Rd. Report taken.
10:45 a.m. – Deputy and Lebanon Fire personnel opened locked vehicle for family who had accidentally locked 10-month-old baby inside. Child safe and sound. 2100 block Stoltz Hill Rd.
1:03 p.m. – Exzavier Jamar Wright, 22, was cited for a Linn County warrant for contempt of court.
1:48 p.m. – Report taken for attempted theft of $4 pipe from a store, Weldwood Dr.
6:49 p.m. – Responded to a report of people yelling, Sunflower Ln. The four adults told officers they were yelling at the TV because the NFL draft was taking place.
7:13 p.m. – Austin Wayne Sater, 32, was cited for driving while suspended and for a Lebanon warrant for PV driving while suspended.
11:32 p.m. – Kristopher Chase Salki, 36, was taken into custody for DUI following a field sobriety test, Main St.
11:33 p.m. – Patricia Ann Eilers-Hanson, 42, was cited for an Albany warrant for contempt.
11:59 p.m. – Single-vehicle, non-injury crash reported near intersection Spicer Drive/Tallman Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office Gabriel Hysell, 18, of Lebanon was traveling eastbound on Spicer Drive by himself in a 2007 Mazda 3, failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway just east of Tallman Road, and his vehicle went into the ditch on the south side of the road and slid sideways until it came to rest against a wooden fence post.
