Feb. 8
1:29 a.m. – Deputy located man walking along road in thick fog, Rock Hill Dr./Brownsville Rd. Provide him a courtesy ride to his residence.
12:05 p.m. – Caller reported burglary in 38800 block River Dr. No sign of anything missing or damage. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
3:50 p.m. – Caller reported mail theft from 400 block Hillview Dr. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
6:17 p.m. – Steven Jones, 32, of Lebanon, cited and released on probation violation warrant, 30700 block Pineway Dr.  Report taken.
8:45 p.m. – Caller complained about neighbor’s dog urinating on motorcycle tire, which was causing rust. Deputy responded to caller’s concerns. 900 block F St.

4:16 a.m. – Sherene Worley, 52, of Lebanon, and James Cripe, 51, of Lebanon, cited on multiple warrants, Birch St./Walker Rd.  Report taken.
4:42 a.m. – Joseph Dunham, 43, of Sweet Home, cited and released on multiple warrants, 2400 block S. Santiam Hwy.  Report taken.
11:32 a.m. – Caller reported theft of mail in 38200 block Middle Ridge Dr. Suspect(s) did about $50 damage to mailbox, in addition to stealing mail. Report taken.
1:02 p.m. – Caller reported package stolen from mailbox in 40400 block Hilltop Dr. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
3:01 p.m. – Deputies investigated single-vehicle non-injury crash in 29900 block Sodaville Mountain Home Rd. Driver Tammi Kay Pitts, 64, of Lebanon was reportedly distracted by cigarettes and crashed her 2012 Kia Sportage into guard rail. Further information unavailable. Report taken.
7:44 p.m. – Candice Gutierrez, 42, of Lebanon, arrested in 2400 block Fuller Lane for violation of no-contact release agreement and on warrant after being “located at a residence and near someone she was not supposed to be around,” according to Sheriff’s log.
10:53 p.m. – Driver James Leroy Nunn, 56, of Albany, ran off road in 2011 Ford Taurus and crashed in fog, Denny School Rd./Oak St. No reported injuries.  Later removed by towing company.

3:52 a.m. – Joshua Warren, 39, of Lebanon, cited on multiple warrants, 500 block Russell Dr. Report taken.

7:54 a.m. – Deputy responded to report of missing stop sign at Crowfoot Rd./Central Ave. Sign was located in area and returned. County Road Department responded and secured post in original location.
4:59 p.m. – Megan Day, 32, of Lebanon, cited for driving while using cellphone. 39500 block Gross St.

8:08 a.m. – Caller reported theft of mail, 38200 block Middle Ridge Dr.  Report taken.
11:51 a.m.  – Deputy responded to single-vehicle rollover crash, Sodaville Waterloo Dr./Townsend Rd. Two of six passengers in 2004 Honda Pilot sustained visible bleeding, one requiring several stitches. Juvenile female operator cited for careless driving, causing injury accident. All juveniles released to parents. Report taken.

9:47 a.m. – Caller reported mail stolen from mailbox in 34000 block Mt. Pleasant Rd. Report taken.
2:16 p.m. – Brandon Ross, 40, of Salem, arrested on multiple warrants following traffic stop 000 block Airport Road. Cited and released. Report taken.
4:05 p.m. – Tosha Jarstad, 42, of Lebanon, cited for driving uninsured, driving without a license and failure to register vehicle. 2600 block Santiam Hwy.

11:28 a.m. – Caller reported theft of Skil saw from 29800 block Fairview Road. Value $600.  Report taken.
1:24 p.m. – Candice Gutierrez, 42, of Lebanon, lodged at Linn County Jail for domestic harassment following reported altercation in 2400 block Fuller Lane.
Feb. 2
4:15 a.m. – Caller reported 2020 Toyota Highlander was entered sometime during night, items scattered around outside, and wallet was taken from location on Wassom St.Wallet contained debit cards, credit cards, driver’s license and more. Report taken.
5:21 a.m. – Michael Matthews, age not available, cited and released on multiple warrants, Market St./Champion Way.
11:27 a.m. – Caller reported damage to his 2009 Mazda CX-5, parked on 5th St. Reported that someone had kicked his vehicle and broken the mirror. Noted that other vehicles on street also appeared to be damaged.
12:47 p.m. – Rachell Ann Gandrud, 40, cited on multiple warrants after caller expressed concern about Gandrud’s state of mind. Carolina St.
1:28 p.m. – Caller reported theft of headphones from store on Airport Rd. Male suspect was wearing grey sweatpants and neon orange jacket.
7:29 p.m. – Caller reported theft of tools from open pole barn on property in Meridian Road/Snow Peak Dr. area. Valued at $1,000. Report taken.
Feb. 1
5:06 a.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief in area of Santiam Hwy. and Porter St. after someone reportedly threw rock through a window in door of store. Estimated repair cost $1,500 – $2,500. No sign of entry. Report taken.
7:37 p.m. – Citizen reported via MYPD that a male and female had stolen two large bags of cans and bottles from his driveway on Tangent St.

2:55 a.m. – Shawn Patrick Cruise, 41, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. Vehicle towed. 5th St.
7:46 a.m. – Caller reported 2021 Bobcat T190 Skid Steer stolen from 32900 block of Bellinger Scale Road sometime between 10 p.m. previous night and 15 minutes prior to call. Described as white body with black cage, roof is black texture rolled on liner. “T190” in black paint and “Bobcat” logo in red and white. Key was with vehicle. Appeared to have been loaded on trailer. Value $26,000. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
9:44 a.m. – Jamie Rae Zurcher, 39, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and for warrant following traffic stop on Santiam Hwy.
12:46 p.m. – Caller reported damage to their motorcycle while they were out of town. 400 block Center St. Estimated damage approximately $3,000. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
3:18 p.m. – Caller reported theft of chainsaw from 5500 block Santiam Hwy. Valued at $1,620. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
3:24 p.m. – Caller reported IPad  belonging to facility at 8th St. address was taken sometime within the past two weeks. Value approximately $300. Report taken.
3:43 p.m. – Caller reported tire was punctured in driveway on B St. Caller told officer she had had ongoing issues with the car, a dark gray Subaru, including suspected contamination of gasoline after gas door was found open about a month before, and a chip in her windshield.
4:39 p.m. – April Tyane Elizabeth Kennedy, 37, trespassed and cited for possession of controlled substance – meth, outstanding warrant, after caller from Wilco requested she be trespassed. Report taken. Santiam Hwy.

3:34 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Snow Peak Drive area found lock on Weyerhaeuser gate damaged, stuck open. New lock installed. Weyerhaeuser notified.
4:23 p.m. – Caller reported theft of $150 sweatshirt in 33800 block Brewster Rd. Report taken.

4:38 p.m. – James Mortensen, 22, of Sweet Home, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and speeding, 94/55, Santiam Hwy./Weirich Cutoff Rd. Vehicle towed as nuisance.

1:09 a.m. – Caden James Waskom, 21, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 83/55, Hwy. 20/Truman Street.
1:21 a.m. – Caller reported male suspect wearing red hat and red sweatshirt tried to steal 18-pack of beer. Left in white Mitsubishi Lancer, headed south on 2nd. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
8:12 a.m. – Deputy patrolling 31200 block Bellinger Road located farm-style gate removed from hinge at first Weyerhaeuser gate on right after road turns to gravel. Lots of trash had been dumped in area, including “stolen mail.”
9:04 a.m. – Caller reported that house he was remodeling on Rose St.  had been broken into. Numerous tool belts, general Craftsman woodworking tools and large DeWalt plastic box with wheels missing. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
11:07 a.m. – Non-injury crash reported in 3000 block Stoltz Hill Road near Vaughn Lane. 2018 Honda Accord driven by Allen Craig Benjamin, 20, of Lebanon, struck side of bridge over Oak Creek, damaging wheel and tire and disabling vehicle. Report taken.
12:07 p.m. – Caller reported her bike was stolen from 200 block Sturtevant Road. Valued at $100. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
1:32 p.m. – Michael Robert Smith, 74, cited for no valid operator’s license, Main St.
3:13 p.m. – Deputy mediated dispute between neighbors over garbage buried “long ago” that happened to be on a property line in 2500 block Primrose St. Civil agreement was reached.
5:02 p.m. – Caller reported his daughter had been in Wal-Mart approximately 30 minutes earlier, placed her blue backpack near vending machines on grocery side of store while she went in and shopped. When she returned, he said, backpack containing Chromebook for school and notebooks was gone. Investigation continuing. Report taken. Santiam Hwy.

9:21 p.m. – Melissa Merlene Scott, 51, cited for no operator’s license, failure to carry proof of insurance, failure to renew. Ash St.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported catalytic converter stolen off 2003 Toyota Highlander at AAMCO shop on Santiam Hwy. Occurred btween 5:30 p.m. previous night and 7 a.m. on morning of call. Estimated damage $600.
11:33 a.m. – Aric Cavel Simmons, 32, cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass and interfering with police officer after police found him drinking a beer on a bench on Main St. Report taken.
4:58 p.m. – Caller reported theft of gas from station on Santiam Hwy. Vehicle described as red Dodge pickup driven by white male, 40-50 years old. Loss $88.
10:06 p.m. – Richard Woorley, 33, of Lebanon, cited for running red light, Airport and 2nd.
10:28 p.m. – Angelique May Burris, 18, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 80/55, Hwy. 20/Waterloo Road.

7:41 a.m. – Single-vehicle non-injury crash reported in 35300 block of Spicer Dr.  Driver Jacob Breding, 20, lost control of 1990 Mazda pickup on icy roadway, went into ditch and hit NW Natural Gas line marker. Vehicle was driven away after it was pulled out of ditch.  Report taken.
8:03 a.m. – Lamar Lavonne Wilson, 32, cited on warrants, Santiam Hwy. Report taken.
8:15 a.m. – Caller reported dump trailer taken from location on Elmore St. Described as 7×14 double axle with plywood or OSB walls, built-in tool box, license number HU91968. Report taken.
8:30 a.m. – Single-vehicle non-injury crash reported in 35300 block of Spicer Dr. Driver Thomas Woods, 21, of Salem, lost control of 1996 Oldsmobile on icy roadway, went into ditch, hitting another Jacob Breding’s vehicle (above) that had crashed into the ditch only minutes before. This occurred in front of Sheriff’s deputy who was taking report of earlier crash. Woods cited for driving uninsured. Report taken.
9:50 a.m. – Gregory Ronald Cianflocco Jr., 43, arrested on two statewide warrants following crash involving his Mazda and a Chevy van driven by Pamela McDonald, 66, on Vine St. Non-injury. Report taken.
12:52 p.m. – Caller reported trailer was broken into in 5200 block McCormack Lane within previous few days. Approximately $1,400 worth of property and tools stolen. Report taken.
1:08 p.m. – Deputy stopped to help person who was “picking up pieces of a German stein from the roadway.”  000 block Walker Road.
2:15 p.m. – Caller reported shop was broken into over weekend on Vine St. Said bags of cans were taken from inside garage. Value $20. Some damage to door knob and lock. Report taken.
8:06 p.m. – Kelvin Attebery, 34, and Hali N. Mentzer, 28, arrested on warrants after traffic stop on Berlin Road. Report taken.
Jan. 25
10:12 a.m. – Burglary reported at church on 2nd St. sometime between 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, and time of call. Unknown how entry was made, although a window was broken inside the building. Assorted cash and change missing from office, estimated at about $200. Keys also missing from key box. Report taken.
1:07 p.m. – Caller reported theft of potted plants in porcelain containers from address on Cascade Dr.
1:24 p.m. – Caller reported trespasser in 30700 block Hazen Lane. Deputy investigated, discovered “trespasser” was process server who was at location to serve papers. Caller agreed that server could take care of business.
3:01 p.m. – Caller reported catalytic converter stolen from Ford Excursion parked at end of driveway in 4900 block Santiam Hwy. Approximate value $1,500.  Report taken.
4:29 p.m. – Avery William Freeman, 25, cited for no valid operator’s license, driving uninsured, Santiam Hwy.
4:33 p.m. – Motor vehicle crash reported in 31500 block Berlin Road. Operator Vanessa Chao, 38, of Sweet Home, driving 2016 Honda Pilot, fell asleep while driving, and ran into ditch. Fence and power pole were damaged. Chao was uninjured. Report taken.
4:41 p.m. – Caller reported green trash can was taken two weeks previously from location in 5000 block Santiam Hwy. Approximate value $75.

8:17 a.m. – Caller reported theft of flooring from work site on Kimber St.  Sixty boxes of Big Bear Oak Vinyl flooring missing. Report taken.
9:08 a.m. – Caller reported burglary and theft of items valued at approximately $8,000 from Ignite Church on F St. Missing items were televisions, computers, sound equipment and more. Report taken.
3:08 p.m. – Caller reported theft of homemade flatbed trailer, 34500 block E. Lacomb Road. Described as 14-foot double-axle, diamond-plated with toolbox. It was full of scrap metal.Value $4,500.  Report taken.
7:53 p.m. – Caller reported crash at Sodaville Road/Cascade Drive. Operator Alejandro Naranjo Najera, 35, had hit deer. Needed information for insurance purposes. Further idetails unavailable.

4:27 a.m. – Christian Frantz, 25, of Philomath, cited for speeding, 79/55, Hwy, 34/Langmack Road.
4:54 a.m. – Randy Wilson, 41, of Stayton, cited for speeding, 80/55, driving uninsured, 35000 block Hwy. 34.
8:58 a.m. – Caller reported blue 1964 CJ-5 Jeep with black top stolen during previous hour on Elmore St. Later located in Stayton area. Recovered by Linn County Sheriff’s Office and returned to owner.
9:02 p.m. – Mark Morgan, age not available, cited for Lebanon Municipal Court warrant, Santiam Hwy./Russell Drive.  Report taken.
11:36 p.m. – Deputies spotted vehicle traveling at 63 mph in posted 35 mph zone on Airport Road through Lebanon. Per Sheriff’s Office policy, deputies did not pursue after driver accelerated when passing deputies. Vehicle was later found abandoned in a driveway on Golden Valley Drive with two flat tires and a broken wheel. Towed as a hazard, as it was blocking driveway. Report taken.
Jan. 21
10:27 a.m. – Caller reported wallet stolen and credit card used at 7:11 a.m. at Walmart. Caller told police he believed he had dropped the wallet at Knot Hole on Jan. 15. Wallet contained $450 in cash and credit card, which was used multiple times between Lebanon and Salem, totaling approximately $360 in purchases. Report taken. Oak Terrace.
7:31 p.m. – Caller reported his Carhartt bi-fold wallet was stolen when he left it on a change machine the previous night at Spin City. Said someone hacked into his bank account and had frozen his bank assets. Wallet contained his ID, Social Security card, debit cards and $160 in cash. He told police someone had moved $10,000 from his savings to his checking account, but he had the bank freeze the accounts. Weldwood Dr.

8:28 p.m. – Dillon Berg, age not available, of Lebanon, arrested for harassment, disorderly conduct after fight with stepfather, 2500 block Primrose St.  Report taken. 
Jan. 20
7:10 a.m. – Tinna Gibbs, 40, of Sweet Home, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. Santiam Highway/Sturtevant Road.
9:30 a.m. – Matthew Christopher Vitenheimer, 24, cited for failure to carry proof of insurance, Park Dr./Russell St.
11:34 a.m. – Deputy contacted three individuals doing contract work, trespassed them from residential property. 36600 block Hwy. 34.
11:36 a.m. – Michael Rice, 40, of Lebanon, cited for failure to register vehicle. 32300 block Berlin Road.
2:20 p.m. – Male used force to steal safe and cash with total value of $150 because member of family reportedly owed suspect money. No one injured. No weapons used. Report taken. 3600 block S. Santiam Hwy.
2:55 p.m. – Caller reported 47-year-old man bitten while trying to break up dog fight, Vaughn Road. Labrador and boxer were going at it and Lab bit victim, who was taken to emergency room for treatment. Quarantine notice issued for both dogs.
3:07 p.m. – Dawn M. Bender, 45, cited and released on warrants. 5th St.
5:07 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office made traffic stop on speeding vehicle Santiam Highway/Waterloo Road. Turned out it was medical emergency. Medics were called, transported female to hospital.
8:09 p.m. – Caller reported that pit bull had bitten 66-year-old man about 3:45 p.m. as he attempted to break up fight between it and another dog, which was also bitten. Pit bull quarantined. Report taken.
Jan. 19
1:01 a.m. – Deputy located vehicle on shoulder in 31200 block Santiam Hwy. with no hazards. Hose had come loose, and joint effort resulted in it being reconnected. After radiator cooled, deputy provided some bottles of water and occupants continued on.
4:20 a.m. – Driver cited for speeding, 80/55, 29500 block Santiam Hwy.
9:28 a.m. – Caller reported theft from job site on Village over weekend. 16-foot lifting straps with shackles attached missing from site. Value $300 to $400.
4:24 p.m. – Joseph Gene Salley, 49, turned himself in on warrant at Justice Center, 2nd St. Cited and released.

12:58 a.m. – Season Bartley, age not listed, of Lebanon, cited on multiple warrants, 500 block Weldwood Dr. Report taken.
1:42 a.m. – Nicholas Duncan, age not listed, of Lebanon, cited and released on Linn County Justice Court warrant.  3200 block S. Santiam Hwy. Report taken.
4:01 a.m. – Angelique Morrow, 27, of Junction City, cited for speeding, 75/55, 36400 block Hwy. 34.
11:46 a.m. – Caller reported burglary in 31100 block Old Santiam Hwy. Missing items included orange and white Stihl 021 chainsaw, Husky 550XP Mark 1 chainsaw, two orange and white Stihl backpack blowers – models BR350 and BR600, and red and black Honda 3000IS generator. Thefts occurred from Linn County Road Department sometime between Jan. 13 and Jan. 18. Value approximately $4,350. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
1:05 p.m. – Caller reported shoplifting at store on Main St. Suspect described as having short brown hair and large green or brown military-style backpack, wearing black rubber rain boots, black coat, blue jeans and red flannel shirt. Allegedly took nachos and several candy bars, total value $24.
1:39 p.m. – Caller reported attempted theft of catalytic converter on 2019 Chevy school bus that had been parked on 5th about 10 p.m. the previous night. Estimated cost to repair $500 to $1,000. Fencing was cut. Small flashlight recovered.  Investigation continuing. Report taken.

2:58 p.m. – Caller reported she found her cat dead, apparently after having been mauled by a dog.  Neighbors told the caller they had seen a pit bull at large earlier. Officer patrolled area but unable to locate dog. 3rd St.
7:35 p.m. – Caller reported that her wallet was stolen earlier in the afternoon. Information on location and specifics not available. Loss was approximately $300. Report taken. Santiam Hwy.

11:56 a.m. – Caller reported AV equipment stolen from Grant Street church location. Approximate value $5,000. Black box containing two wireless headsets, wireless microphone, video camera and tripod were taken sometime between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, and 10 a.m. Sunday.

12:40 a.m. – Brenda Lillian Gray, 51, of Lyons, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, no taillights, 2700 block S. Santiam Hwy.
8:20 a.m. – Caller reported her husband’s truck had been broken into. Clothing was found down the street and his wallet, including credit cards, a checkbook and coins were missing. Airway St. Report taken.
10:34 a.m. – Gordon Dean Muscutt, 45, cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. Brewster/Berlin roads.
12:42 p.m. – Matthew Allen Pitts, 33, arrested for burglary after he was spotted in Seven Oak Middle School buildings. Cascade Drive. Report taken.
1:36 p.m. – Keeton Jackola, 21, cited for strangulation and fourth-degree assault following report of domestic disturbance on Jadon Dr.

10:07 p.m. – Emma Marie Nagle, 17, of Beaverton, cited for no valid operator’s license, after caller reported Subaru Outback had traveled the wrong way on Park Street and had hit the curb. Officer learned that Nagle was lost and was waiting for a friend to drive the vehicle.

11:42 a.m. – Caller reported theft of safe, 37000 block Middle Ridge Dr. Loss included approximately $30 in cash, various personal documents.  Report taken.
12:00 p.m. – Driver crashed vehicle into power pole and ditch, 33700 block Santiam Hwy., then fled scene and was not located. Deputies assisted Oregon State Police in effort to locate suspect. Multiple vehicles involved. Further details unavailable.

9:27 p.m. – Juvenile driver cited in lieu of custody following single-vehicle crash in 39200 River Dr. Sheriff’s Office did not release name. Driver cited for driving under influence of intoxicants, failure to perform duties of driver and reckless driving. Report taken.

8:14 a.m. – Caller reported Honda Accord stolen earlier in the morning on Franklin St. Police found the vehicle about an hour later at Russell and Porter streets. Returned to owner.
