4:42 a.m. – Brayden Newport, 18, of Albany, arrested for DUII, reckless driving and minor in possession of alcohol, 35100 block Highway 34/Red Bridge Road. Blood test indicated BAC of 0.15%, according to Sheriff’s Office. Cited and released. Report taken.
8:26 a.m. – Caller reported loud music all day long on a regular basis, Ash St.
10:07 a.m. – Report taken for a glass door broken by a male, Main St. Loss valued at $1,500.

11:55 a.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief in 37500 block Tennessee School Road. According to Sheriff’s Office, fence was damaged “relating to ongoing property dispute.”
12:01 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious canoe. Further investigation revealed it belonged to her roommate. 31800 block Lawrence St.
3:58 p.m. – Officer responded to a report of theft from Lebanon Mercantile. Video surveillance was provided. Loss valued at $96.80.

1:23 a.m. – Motor vehicle crash reported 32400 block Sand Ridge/Steckley roads. Driver was unfamiliar with roadway, missed turn. No injuries, no property damage.
3:10 a.m. – Caller reported theft of wallet from vehicle, 8th St.
7:47 a.m. – Caller reported broken gas cap and possible theft of fuel from vehicle, Santiam Hwy.
7:56 a.m. – Officer responded to a report of a vehicle unable to maintain lane, Main St. The driver had just gotten off work and was found parked in his driveway, asleep.
9:19 a.m. – Rick Jordan Maas, 42, was cited for Linn County court warrants for failures to appear and parole violation possession of methamphetamine, and Salem court warrants for failure to appears to appear on an original charge of trespassing.

5:40 p.m. – Officer responded to a report of children stealing their mother’s money, Main St. The officer talked to the children, who promised not to do it again.
6:27 p.m. – Deputy responded to report of two missing persons. Located and spoke to all involved parties. Everyone was OK. There was a misunderstanding between family members over the length of the camping trip. 39300 block Davis St., Waterloo.
July 20
11:37 a.m. – Report taken for theft of catalytic converter, Park St. Sawzall blade was left behind. Loss valued at $1,500.
3:57 p.m. – Wendy Marie Garrison, 43, was cited for Lebanon court warrants for parole violation providing false information to police and failures to appear, and Linn County court warrants for failures to appear on original charges of possession of methamphetamine.
5:18 p.m. – Caller reported theft of carpet cleaner from porch, Rose St.
10:22 p.m. – Caller reported he video chatted with a female he met online and they exchanged pictures. Now the female is trying to blackmail him. Caller was counseled about “sextortion.”
July 21
1:50 a.m. – Caller reported they hit a skunk and it was suffering, 32400 Denny School Road. Deputy responded and “humanely” dispatched the skunk.
8:56 a.m. – Jessica Lynn McLaughlin, 29, was cited for Linn County court warrants for possession of a stolen vehicle; unauthorized use of a vehicle; possession of methamphetamine; failure to appear on an original charge of providing false information, theft III and trespass II; failure to appear on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine and theft III; failures to appear on original charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, providing false information, criminal mischief II, and other citations.

2:10 a.m. – Officer responded to call about three juveniles on a roof throwing boxes into the road, Main St.
10:52 a.m. – A female reported she believes jewelry and other items are being stolen from her mother who has dementia and allows “unsavory people” into her home, 11th St.
2:07 p.m. – Report taken for theft of two Rockstars, Park St.
2:23 p.m. – Caller reported squatters at a vacant house, Main St.
5:24 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious people on her property previous night, 31000 block 4th St., Waterloo. Neighbor scared people away. Pair of glasses found where they were seen. Report taken.
5:48 p.m. – Caller reported she’d discovered that sometime in the previous three days someone had entered her vehicle and stolen her jumper cables, valued at $40. 39300 block Card St., Waterloo. Report taken.

7:51 p.m. – Officer responded to a report about a door-to-door salesman who was too pushy and scared neighbors, Kees St. The salesman, Mitchell McKray Clark, did not have a peddler’s permit to sell for Insight Pest Control.
July 24
9:14 a.m. – Caller reported his ex-girlfriend comes into his apartment while he’s sleeping, and is trying to kill him with COVID, 5th St.
9:43 a.m. – Nicklauss Glasser was cited for trespassing II, Santiam Hwy.
12:39 p.m. – Caller reported Honda cars speed racing on Vaughn Lane.
2:49 p.m. – Report taken for theft of items and car title from car, Market St.
5:23 p.m. – Caller reported on behalf of friend, who is in prison, that there are “unsavory” people on his property and no trespass orders in place, 32800 Old Mill Road/Mt. Pleasant Road.
8:00 p.m. – Michael Thomas Blohm was cited for a Lebanon court warrant for probation violation, a Linn County circuit court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of meth, a Linn County justice court warrant for violation of probation, and an Albany court warrant for contempt of court.
8:01 p.m. – David Nowak, 22, of Lebanon, cited for speeding, 77/55, 32200 block Hwy. 228.
8:32 p.m. – Blayze Hendrickson, 28, of Lebanon, cited for driving while using cellphone. 300 block E. Bishop Way/Faust St., Brownsville.
8:53 p.m. – Male transported to hospital after drinking fifth of vodka and two 24-ounce beers in four hours, while taking medications. Not suicide attempt, simply overindulgence, according to Sheriff’s Office. 400 block Baker St.
11:33 p.m. – Officer responded to a report about a silver Lexus parked on the wrong side of the road, 2nd St. Caller said he confronted the driver, and the driver took pictures of the caller and said nothing.
July 25
9:05 a.m. – Report taken for theft of package from porch, Oak St. Loss valued at $50.
10:11 a.m. – Morgan Marie Lumpkin was cited for trespassing, Ralston Park.
11:34 a.m. – Pickup hauling hay on trailer caught fire; trailer and load of hay burned to the ground, 35600 block Brewster Road. County Road Department contacted to clean up and open road.

9:51 a.m. – Brandy Lee Dozier, 25, was cited for an Albany warrant for theft III and a Lebanon warrant for parole violation theft III.
10:53 a.m. – Caller reported theft of golf clubs, Mallard Creek, 31900 block Bellinger Scale Road. Report taken.
2:28 p.m. – Morgan Marie Lumpkin, 23, was charged with criminal mischief I for pulling the communication box off the wall at the Lebanon jail, using it to damage a glass door, and placing it in the toilet. Loss valued at $2,500.
3:53 p.m. – Avery Faith Jones, 16, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Grant St.
4:09 p.m. – Kaydee Renee Brewer, 48, was cited for speeding 41/25, Grove St.
8:47 p.m. – Caller reported two males walked on their property and turned a hose on. They left when approached by the owner, Market St.
8:55 p.m. – Deputy spotted bicycle on side of the road, 33100 block Bellinger Scale Road. Determined it belonged to male who was picking blackberries.
10:00 p.m. – Caller reported a male approached her and asked for a cigarette, 12th St.. She said ‘no’ and turned away, then male grabbed her shirt and ripped it. He told her not to turn her back to him. Then he left.
July 28
6:11 a.m. – Officer responded to a report of two subjects going through a dumpster and leaving trash everywhere, Main St.
7:22 a.m. – Caller reported someone hit their mailbox between midnight and 2 a.m. in 31100 block Santiam Hwy. Valued at $150. Report taken.
10:16 a.m. – Phillip Leon Lucas, 64, was cited for a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended, and a Linn County court warrant for contempt.
11:44 a.m. – Deputies responded to report of counterfeit money. Bill found on side of road, 38800 block Christopher Way, and was turned in by concerned citizen. It was an obvious fake and was marked as such, according to Sheriff’s Office. Seized and destroyed.
1:12 p.m. – Steen Lewis Davis, 23, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Main St.
1:38 p.m. – Taylor Lee Bidwell, 17, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Santiam Hwy.
1:50 p.m. – Anisa Marzieh Christiansen, 41, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Main St.
2:20 p.m. – Caller reported numerous cats with fleas and multiple litters of kittens, some in bad condition, 30200 block Horseshoe Loop. Deputy contacted property owner, who had recently taken possession or property and reported that they had been trying to care for and re-home many of the cats left by previous occupant. Deputy saw several of remaining cats and all were in good physical condition and occupant was trying to re-home one last litter of kittens.
3:14 p.m. – An off-duty Albany officer stopped an aggressive driver that was going 80 MPH. Natasha A. Linchevskiy, 19, was cited for speeding 75/35, Stoltz Hill Rd.
4:46 p.m. – Jodi Mendoza, 37, of Shedd, cited for driving while suspended, 100 block Central Ave.
5:34 p.m. – Eduardo Vargas Pena, 31, of California, cited for no driver’s license, driving without insurance and speeding, 64/55, 35700 block Brewster Road. Vehicle towed as traffic hazard. Report taken.
5:38 p.m. – Caller reported lost shotgun, 31500 block Waterloo Road. Details on gun not available. Report taken.
July 29
9:21 a.m. – Caller reported abandoned motor home left on private property, 2000 block Stoltz Hill Drive.
9:34 a.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle collision reported in 40900 block Lacomb Drive. Chris Behm was operating a 45 hp Kubota tractor, headed westbound on Lacomb and turning into his driveway when, according to the Sheriff’s Office, Douglas Lutz made what was described by the Sheriff’s Office as “an unsafe pass” in a 2020 Toyota Sequoia and clipped the front of the tractor bucket, tearing his right front fender off. Lutz then struck mailboxes at the location. Report taken.
10:57 a.m. – Report taken for theft of handmade jewelry, Park St. A female fell and hit her head while out walking. People arrived to help, and she asked someone to take her dogs home for her by entering her back door while she went to hospital. When she got home, she found her house ransacked and items missing. Loss valued at $500.
11:03 a.m. – Burglary reported at IOOF Cemetery office, 37295 Cemetery Road. Shop was broken into and generator stolen. Approximate value $500. Report taken.
12:50 p.m. – Bryan Lee Schmitt, 42, was cited for Lebanon court warrants for parole violation criminal trespass II and failure to appear, and Linn County court warrants for failures to appear on original charges of criminal trespass II, disorderly conduct II, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine, bias criminal II, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and DUII.

9:59 p.m. – Delbert Duran, 54, of Lebanon, cited for driving uninsured, failure to renew vehicle reigstration. 29000 block Fairview Road/Santiam Hwy.
10:36 p.m. – Alisha Larsen, 40, of Albany, arrested on four warrants, 38800 Green Dr./Pineway Dr. Lodged in Linn County Jail. Also cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured. Patrick Ward, 40, of Sweet Home, cited and released on warrant. Vehicle impounded.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported theft of bicycle, cigarettes, headlamps, lantern, and inhaler from front yard, Manor Way.
10:29 a.m. – Zachary Christopher Kempton, 29, was cited for a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft II and III, and a Linn County court warrant for providing false information.

2:46 p.m. – Caller reported three large empty boxes were dumped near his recycling bin, Elmore St.
4:09 p.m. – Sheriff’s deputies received report of full-grown black angus bull running loose in people’s yards. No owner was located, so with the help of local farmers, the bull was contained and placed in temporary holding facility until state brand inspectors can locate an owner. 40700 block Peoples Dr.

3:00 a.m. – Deputy on patrol in 4400 block Santiam Hwy., near Pineway Golf Course, observed 2006 Acura TL westbound at 90 mph in 55 mph zone. Deputy caught up to and stopped the vehicle near Sturdevant, but as deputy approached the vehicle on foot it took off. Dispatch reported the vehicle stolen. Deputy turned off overhead emergency lights and followed in an attempt to keep the vehicle in sight and relay it to Lebanon police, but the fleeing driver took Crowfoot and deputy lost it at View Lane.
