3:32 p.m. – Caller reported his 2008 GMC pickup was parked about 30 yards from the road in 2800 block Stoltz Hill Rd., vehicle backed into his a couple of hours previously, causing unknown amount of damage. Caller said all he saw was vehicle driving away. Report taken.

12:12 a.m. – Caller reported vehicle missing from Tennessee Road location sometime in last four days. Described as dark gray 2010 BMW 535. Report taken.
2:27 a.m. – Jeffrey David Brennan Jr., 41, cited for second-degree criminal trespass, Main St.
10:24 a.m. – Caller reported theft of Amazon packages from Wheeler St. front porch. Loss estimated at $220.
11:00 a.m. – Caller reported car burglary on Oak St. 2020 Kia Sorento entered and $500 in cash, and three prescription bottles, valued at $100, stolen. No sign of forced entry. Report taken.

5:43 p.m. – Fraud reported in 38200 block Maple St. Victim, a dog breeder, had a buyer contact her and attempt to purchase a puppy from her on puppies.com. A check was sent to the victim/breeder and when she took it to her bank, she learned it was fraudulent. Report taken.

10:36 a.m. – Police responded to report of multiple motorhomes illegally camping in parking lot on Cascade Dr. Occupants said they would be moving on.
3:38 p.m. – Caller reported that he’d gotten letter “from Bank of America” two weeks previously, stating that his account had been flagged for fraudulent activity and to call the listed number. Said he’d ignored the letter, figuring it was a scam. Today, received second letter from BOA informing him that someone had opened an account in his name. No money missing, but theft of identity. Provided contact info for Federal Trade Commission. Report taken.

Operator Matthew Ray Price, 47, of Turner, taken to hospital with minor injuries after, he told responders, the brakes failed on his Spyder motorcycle and he crashed. 4:08 p.m. – Victim reported he was scammed by someone in Hong Kong who told him he owed money or the IRS would arrest him. Victim sent $34,550 to address in Hong King on April 5. His bank is trying to stop the wire transfer before the money is deposited. He was advised to contact the state Department of Justice Fraud Department as well.
4:21 p.m. – Aric Cavel Simmons, 32, charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct, and second-degree criminal trespass after caller reported man tried to jump fence into residence on Maple Street and called caller an epithet, then punched real estate sign in yard and broke it. 7:56 a.m. – Motor vehicle crash reported at Tangent/S. 5th St. According to police, Richard Herbert Ramsey Jr., 51, driving a 1988 Ford Ranger pickup, pulled in front of a 2015 VW Golf station wagon driven by Alyssa Marie Barrett, 30, who was traveling westbound on Tangent. Ramsey told police he was blinded by the bright sunlight. No injuries, citations reported. Report taken.

10:39 a.m. – Police responded to motor vehicle crash on Santiam Hwy. Driver, whose name was not available, cited for driving uninsured, no valid driver’s license. Vehicle’s axle was broken. Towed. Report taken.
12:02 p.m. – Non-injury crash reported in 36100 block Spicer Dr./Tallman Rd. Driver Joshua David Kendrick, 21, who has a United Kingdom driver’s license went into ditch to avoid hitting fox. 2021 Toyota Corrola was a rental car. Report taken.
5:15 p.m. – Ryan Wilson, 34, cited for dog at large, second-degree criminal trespass, after caller reported camp between O’Reilly’s and Fastenall, subjects beating on outside walls of O’Reilly’s. Santiam Hwy. Report taken.

6:30 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 36100 block Airport Dr. Driver Cary Lynn Hamblin, 67, of Lebanon, told Sheriff’s Office his 2011 Cadillac SRX hit gravel on the curve and he lost control, the vehicle ending up on its side in the ditch. Report taken.
7:02 p.m. – Caller reported male who was walking in a group on Cascade Drive sprayed purple paint on side of carport, then was picked up by silver vehicle. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
7:37 p.m. – Caller reported catching two people stealing cans from residence on Market St. Chased suspects down, retrieved four bags.
8:38 p.m. – Caller reported “very loud” blue Ford F150 pickup back up to pile of sand at construction site on 10th St. Neighbor confronted truck occupant(s) and it sped off. Small amount of sand appeared to be missing, according to police report.

8:57 a.m. – Deputy located suspicious vehicle on a farm access road in 31100 Sand Ridge Rd. After being contacted, occupant said he was photographing “sad”-looking sheep in dreary weather. No action.
9:34 a.m. – Burglary reported at barber shop on Santiam Hwy. Power out for entire building and phone line appeared to have been cut. Someone broke into ATM. Report taken.
12:05 p.m. – Caller reported theft of packages from outside office on 5th St. previous day. Suspect arrived in blue Ford Taurus, took stack of packages from porch. Report taken.
12:18 p.m. – Caller reported sign stolen from Breaking Free Counseling Services business in 100 block S. Main St. Sign described as 5×3 stainless steel encased in wood with business name on it. Discovered missing previous day after last being seen on April 1. Valued at $1,500. Report taken.
1:49 p.m. – Deputy observed Ford Explorer being towed down road by F-250 pickup with tow strap, Highway 20/Waterloo Rd. Deputy stopped vehicles, educated occupants on proper towing procedures. Explorer was unhooked and participants agreed to go get a car dolly.
2:50 p.m. – Caller reported items stolen from work truck on 7th St. Blue radio locating transmitter taken. Report taken.
3:21 p.m. – Adult male missed doctor’s appointment because he was asleep. Deputy found him OK at home in 38700 block Sugar Lane.

4:18 p.m. – 9-1-1 hangup in 38400 block Golden Valley Rd. Deputy checked on residents and everybody was healthy and happy. Granddaughter was playing with cell phone.
6:03 p.m. – Samuel Monroe, 44, of Scio, cited on outstanding warrants after report of van in road in 000 block Oak Creek Way. Van removed from road. Report taken.
6:55 p.m. – Vehicle broken into at McDowell Creek Park, 43100 block McDowell Creek Rd., while owner was hiking. Backpack and valuables valued at $2,440 stolen. Report taken.

1:56 p.m. – Caller reported vehicle burglary in parking lot next to Handsome Devil on Sherman St. 2018 Honda Civic had been left in parking lot overnight and caller found passenger side rear window broken out, numerous items of brand new clothing stolen. Report taken.

12:46 a.m. – Jessica Smith, 28, cited for harassment after report of domestic disturbance on 9th/Tangent streets.
8:31 a.m. – Kennedy Duran Gonzales, 26, cited on Albany Municipal Court warrant after turning himself in at Justice Center, 2nd St.
10:27 a.m. – Caller reported gas tank on box rental truck had been drilled and gas line cut in attempted gas theft. Santiam Hwy. Gallon jug located under tank. Report taken.
10:59 a.m. – Male parked vehicle on someone else’s property, was doing mechanical work on it without the property owner’s permission. He was advised to remove the vehicle immediately and warned for trespassing. 400 block Center St. While at location, deputy learned the subject was storing vehicle and trailers on property nearby where he did not have permission to do. Subject was warned to get all items moved or they would be abandoned and he would face citations regarding them and they could be tagged and towed.
1:30 p.m. – Caller reported someone slashed her front passenger tire between 8:30 p.m. previous night and 11:30 a.m. 7th St.
2:09 p.m. – Ember Ann McAlpin, 38, cited on multiple warrants after being contacted by police at Linn Lanes, 2nd St., where she told them she was going through the trash.
4:08 p.m. – Officer came upon crash near U.S. Bank on Santiam Hwy. Vegas Mauer, 16, cited for failure to obey traffic control device. Other driver was Larry Paul Ray, 72. No injuries reported. Report taken.
6:03 p.m. – Cheryl Marie Krabbenhoft, 52, of Lebanon, cited for driving without insurance, 000 block Crowfoot Rd.

April 1
8:50 a.m. – Caller reported front window on vehicle broken, tire slashed. Grove St. Report taken for criminal mischief.
11:53 a.m. – Miguel Estrada Cortes, 64, of Lebanon, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 700 block Holly Lane. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Cortes was on his son’s property feeding cattle. The arrest is relating back to an animal-at-large incident in which Cortes was allegedly trespassing to get cows. 12:11 p.m. – Vincent Lee Holt Jr., 51, cited on multiple warrants after caller reported Holt was knocking on door on 6th St. Report taken.
1:02 p.m. – Caller reported being scammed out of $12,200. 36900 block Gore Dr. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a pop-up on the victim’s computer stated he had been scammed and to call the number provided. He did so and was sent through a few people who told him to take $12,200 out of bank and deposit into Bitcoin machine. Victim did so and then the people requested more money, he went to do so and the bank told him he was being scammed. Report taken.
1:22 p.m. – Caller reported that a man and a woman stole cosmetics and fragrence from store, Burdell Blvd. White male described as thin build, early 20s, with pronounced limp. White female described as overweight, wearing red flannel shirt over blue jeans, bright red dyed hair. Left with another male in silver Chrysler Town & Country, license plate ZMW103.
1:50 p.m. – Nicklaus Glasser, 32, of Lebanon, cited on warrant, 000 block Russell Dr. Report taken.
5:16 p.m. – Glenn Arden Harms, 79, cited for driving while suspended, unlawful lane change following motor vehicle collision on Santiam Hwy. No injuries reported. Second driver was Mark Randolph Hogan, 53. Report taken.
5:47 p.m. – Motor vehicle collision reported at Williams and Oak streets. Chevy driven by Anjali Marie Coffman, 33, failed to stop at stop sign. Coffman told police her brakes failed. She hit passenger side of GMC SUV driven by Patricia Marie Borland, 64. No injuries reported. No citations. Report taken.

1:52 a.m. – Kenneth Schneider, 30, of Lebanon, arrested for DUII after, according to Sheriff’s Office, parking in wrong driveway and falling asleep. 30000 block Fairview Rd.
12:52 p.m. – Caller reported theft of wheelbarrow, power hand tools from residential construction site, Milton St. Loss estimated at $3,000. Police officer noted that another caller had reported a wheelbarrow with tools earlier in the day on Main St. They turned out to be the missing items. Subject(s) had apparently entered garage by prying door latch open with plastic card. Report taken.
1:47 p.m. – Amy Conner, 43, of Lebanon, cited for allowing dog in her care to be a public nuisance, barking. 400 block Cascade Dr.
3:13 p.m. – Caller reported customer was to take 2007 light blue Mitsubishi Elipse for test drive around car lot hour before, left the premises and did not return. Female had ID only from Washington, caller said. Report taken. Sherman St.
4:21 p.m. – Sheri Bower, 49, trespassed from Walmart, cited and released for second-degree trespass. Santiam Hwy.
7:47 p.m. – Ernest L. Ritchie, 39, of Lebanon, arrested for strangulation (misdemeanor) following report of domestic disturbance in 32500 block Denny School Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, Ritchie’s wife had minor injuries and refused medical attention. Ritchie lodged at Linn County Jail. Report taken.
7:58 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported in 42200 block McDowell Creek Dr. Caller reported that black BMW was going house-to-house, “looking for gas.” Extra patrol requested.
9:59 p.m. – Andrew Poteet, 34, of Lebanon, arrested for DUII, reckless driving, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief following motor vehicle crash in 700 block Central Ave. Report taken.

4:26 a.m. – Caller reported Dodge Magnum was broken into and items missing on D St. No visible damage to vehicle but rear passenger side door found ajar, glove box open. Various documents missing, other small items. Report taken.

1:09 p.m. – Deputy responded to report of theft, 32900 block Brewster Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, male received a ride for gas. When victim got out of the vehicle to get gas, the vehicle operator took off without him, which included his backpack. Victim claimed to have $5,000 worth of cell phones in the backpack as well as a Go Pro and a police scanner. Backpack and some contents were recovered. Report taken.

6:26 a.m. – Anthony Dominquez, 30, cited for driving while suspended, unlawful U turn after allegedly performing such in 2500 block S. Santiam Hwy. during rush hour – in front of deputy.
7:09 a.m. – Johnny Walker Jr., 39, and Krystle Copes, 36, contacted by deputy who found them sleeping in vehicle in park in 2100 block Mill St. Walker cited to appear on two warrants. Copes, who had nine outstanding warrants, according to Sheriff’s Office, transported to Linn County Jail. Report taken.
