Dec. 10
1:18 p.m. – Caller reported stolen 10-foot by 6-foot flatbed trailer, red with white floorboards and folding ramp on back. 37600 block River Road. Trailer valued at $1,000. Taken at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 6. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
7:47 p.m. – Deputies investigated the burning of a portable restroom in 600 block B Street. Report taken.
10:57 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a burglary, but learned upon arrival that it was someone who had gotten lost and driven on the wrong property, 32800 block Merrill Lane.
Dec. 11
3:43 a.m. – Jesse Aaron Ford, 30, was cited on a Linn County warrant for probation violation.
10:02 a.m. – Kelley Ann Perry, 38, was cited on a Benton County warrant for driving while suspended.
12:15 p.m. – Caller reported harassment from a male who threatens them when seen around town. The harassment began a month ago when the male threatened them for smoking in their vehicle. Male drives black pickup and tan van.
1:23 p.m. – Deputies responded to report of $800 worth of items stolen from residence in 39900 block Almen Drive. Victim did not want to press charges for second-degree theft. No further action.
2:43 p.m. – Brian Keith Montgomery, 63, was cited for driving while suspended and uninsured, and a Linn County warrant for contempt. Whitney Reen Montgomery, 34, was cited on a Lebanon warrant for parole violation criminal mischief II.
6:11 p.m. – Two-vehicle crash reported at intersection of Oak Street, Denny School Road. According to Sheriff’s reports, Robert Moen, 28, of Harrisburg was driving westbound on Oak when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Toyota Sienna. Occupants of the Sienna, whose names were not listed, were uninjured, according to Sheriff’s report. Moen was transported to SLCH for apparent minor injuries and cited for failure to obey traffic control device,
8:06 p.m. – Brenda Sacre was cited on a Lebanon warrant for contempt driving while suspended violation.
8:56 p.m. – Caller reported theft of Fosgate amp and subs, and Kobalt tool box from vehicle. Information documented.
Dec. 12
12:41 a.m. – Caller reported semi-trailer stolen at Lowe’s from an unknown trucking company. Using GPS, trailer was located in Virginia. Driver of “Trucking to Go, Inc.” said he picked up the trailer in Florida.
3:46 a.m. – Julianne Nichole Phillips, 27, of Foster, cited and released on six warrants after she was pulled over in the 3200 block South Santiam Highway for a non-functioning tail light.
3:36 p.m. – James Miller, 49, of Lebanon, arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail for violation of a restraining order and resisting arrest. 37200 block Pony Road. Report taken.
3:56 p.m. – Carl Lee Vinson, 39, was cited for operating a vehicle with nonstandard lighting equipment, Hiatt St.
5:14 p.m. – Robby Evans, 19, of Sweet Home arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant, cited for driving while suspended. 31000 block 4th Street/Gross Street. Report taken.
5:33 p.m. – Julie Evette Brendle, 47, was taken into custody for a statewide felony warrant from Linn County on failure to appear on an original charge of identity theft; Lebanon warrants for parole violation theft III and failure to appear; Linn County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of criminal citations, possession of methamphetamine and heroin, and driving while suspended. Jason Edward Brendle, 53, was cited for a Lebanon warrant for contempt of court failure to obey a traffic control device.
5:59 p.m. – 1993 Honda Civic stolen in Lebanon found on fire in 42500 block Upper Berlin Drive/Crockett Lane. Report taken.
7:34 p.m. – Gary Dean Dawson, 57, was taken into custody and cited for driving while suspended, driving without insurance, reckless driving, driving under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, and DCS meth.

7:21 a.m. – Report taken for door ripped off hinge and theft of items valued at $1,000, Industrial Way.
6:54 p.m. – Single-vehicle crash reported in 31200 block South Main Road, just south of Oak Creek Way. Driver Sally Wardlaw, 59, of Lebanon lost control on a corner and was taken to the hospital with apparent minor injuries, according to Sheriff’s report. She was lone occupant of vehicle. Report taken.

9:05 a.m. – Aaron Phillip Kepler, 28, and Brian Schmitt were trespassed 30 days from city parks for smoking ordinance violation, Park Street.
12:19 p.m. – Report taken for theft of electrical house wiring and generator, Franklin St. Loss valued at $600.
12:30 p.m. – Documentation made of minor marks made on male and female during fight, Main St. No charges pursued.
3:09 p.m. – Steven A. Thomas, 36, was cited on an Albany warrant for interfering with a police officer, and Lebanon warrants for contempt driving while suspended and allowing a dog to run at large, 2nd St.
5:58 p.m. – Rebecca Ann Duclos, 27, was cited for a Linn County warrant for possession of heroin, 5th St.

2:03 p.m. – Caller reported deer carcass with arrow found on old mill property, Milton St.
4:23 p.m. – Adam C. New, 34, was cited for making a dangerous left turn, resulting in crash, Truman St.
9:22 p.m. – Report taken for rock thrown through house window, Milton St. Damage estimated at $150.
Dec. 16
8:56 a.m. – Jerald Lynn Chasteen, 39, was cited on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine and disorderly conduct II, Burdell Blvd.
10:45 a.m. – Amanda Louise Baldwin, 30, was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured. Danae Marie Thomas, 56, was cited for failure to obey a traffic device, Santiam Hwy.
Dec. 17
9:47 a.m. – Caller reported theft of wood from construction site, 700 block C Street. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
2:57 p.m. – Non-injury vehicle crash reported in 32900 block Denny School Road/Highway 34 offramp. Michelle Trask, 49, of Tangent, was following a vehicle and, while looking to change lanes, rear-ended vehicle in front of her. Occupants of that vehicle not identified in Sheriff’s report. Trask cited for following too closely.
Dec. 18
7:41 a.m. – Caller reported finding partial roll of toilet paper in their locked garage, 400 block Linden Street. Unknown when, exactly, the toilet paper was left in the garage. Nothing missing. Caller requested extra patrol during night.
4:50 p.m. – Caller reported burglary in 1800 block of South 9th Street sometime within the previous three days. Main door on shop was forced open and Craftsman 10-inch table saw, assorted rakes and shovels, and assorted automotive tools and hammers were taken. Estimated losses unavailable. Report taken.
Dec. 19
11:49 a.m. – Kevin D. Browning, 32, was trespassed from Walmart for refusing to wear a mask and leave when asked to. Officer advised Browning and his family of Walmart’s requirement to enforce rules and Walmart’s right to ask violators to leave.
8:14 p.m. – Amanda B. Nesbitt, 40, was cited for pedestrian fail to obey a traffic control device, Milton St.
8:50 p.m. – Christian James Coleman, 22, was taken into custody for DUII, 2nd St. (his BAC was .03)
Dec. 20
3:11 a.m. – Caller reported his girlfriend hit him on the chest and head because she was mad he used all the hot water for a shower, Steelhead Court.
3:22 p.m. – Caller reported several deer carcass piles, a bear and a dog. 36000 block Middle Ridge Drive/Brownsville Road. Report taken and forwarded to Oregon State Police Fish and Game.
8:03 p.m. – Caller reported back window of truck broken out, 1200 block west Airport Road. Nothing missing from truck. Window valued at $500. Report taken.
Dec. 21
12:38 a.m. – Caller reported theft of two bicycles and a mini bike (Goped), 11th St. Video surveillance revealed a silver van involved in the theft. Information documented.
1:43 a.m. – Caller reported a male subject was playing with a lit torch outside of Knothole. Subject told officer he was testing out his homemade torch. Officer advised he not do that at a gas station.
2:03 a.m. – Caller reported a male chased her car with a black bat, Grant St. Edward Laroy Bateson, 59, was lodged at LCH on a police officer hold.
3:36 a.m. – Caller reported a male who said he just killed his family, E St.
6:54 a.m. – John Ginn, 55, was cited on a Lebanon warrant for parole violation for driving while suspended, F St.
11:29 a.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle crash reported in 32900 block of Brewster Road/Golden Valley Drive. Driver Anabelle Smith, 20, of Salem, stated she fell asleep after working night shift, striking a Linn County road sign. No injuries, some damage to vehicle.
12:35 p.m. – Jonathan Marsh was taken into custody on a Lebanon warrant for parole violation for driving while suspended; a Benton County warrant for a DUI; and Linn County warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal trespass I and failures to appear on original charges of possession of methamphetamine.
1:12 p.m. – Motor vehicle crash reported in 35000 block Rock Hill Drive/Sand Ridge Road. Joe Maxwell, 87, of Shedd, was driving west on Rock Hill and failed to stop at the stop sign, according to Sheriff’s reports. He told a deputy he had looked down and when he looked up, he noticed he was in the wrong lane and then he went through the ditch and out into a field. Maxwell was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital by medics. The crash damaged a road department sign and disconnected wire sheep fence from a fence post.
6:42 p.m. – Caller reported someone stole a package that was stored inside his mud room during past week/week and a half in 38500 block Mt. Hope Drive. Door was unlocked. Black Moto Sport dirt bike fender set, valued at $120, missing. Report taken.
8:58 p.m. – Officer responded to a vehicle crash in a ditch at the library. Male driver said he took the corner too fast and jumped the curb. Officer noticed a pistol handle in the subject’s waistband and detained the subject. It turned out to be a pellet gun. Subject was counseled.
10:29 p.m. – Report taken for theft of Christmas gifts and wallet from car, Main St.
Dec. 22
7:57 a.m. – Caller reported roosters, pigeons, ducks and chickens at a house near him that are all on different sleep schedules and wake him up at all times of the night, B St. Owners were informed of ordinances, and they opted to get rid of some of the animals.
11:56 a.m. – Caller found out his dog got loose and was struck by a vehicle on Hwy. 20 and someone disposed of the dog in the trash, not knowing who it belonged to. Caller was upset the dog was thrown away. 30100 block Ingram Road.
12:11 p.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 27, of Lebanon, arrested and released for two active warrants and driving with suspended license, driving 72 mph in 35 mph zone, 2700 block S. Main Road. Report taken.
2:26 p.m. – Willa Harris was cited for criminal mischief II for throwing a bottle at a car windshield, Santiam Hwy. She was also cited for a Lebanon warrant for parole violation and a Linn County warrant for parole violatoin failure to appear citation.
3:39 p.m. – Christopher Allan Smith, 41, was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of delivering methamphetamine.
4:43 p.m. – Caller reported that his vehicle had been struck by an unknown suspect, possibly a delivery driver, while it was parked in his driveway. 37000 block Highway 226.
10:14 p.m. – Shane McNeely was cited for theft III and criminal trespass I for stealing a pie from Safeway, from which he had been trespassed.
Dec. 23
10:05 a.m. – Caller reported a garbage bin and a recycling bin were damaged sometime during previous day. 31200 block Berlin Road. Estimated damage cost $150. Damage was not specified. Report taken.
3:02 p.m. – Bodie John Henry Gibson, 41, was cited for theft I and trespassed from Walmart, and cited for Albany warrants for theft II and III.
6:20 p.m. – Kylee Margaret Brown, 18, was cited for following too closely, Airport Road. Report taken for motor vehicle crash.
Dec. 24
3:38 a.m. – Joseph Louveere Hoffman, 49, was cited on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of public indecency.
1:46 p.m. – Caller reported mail theft in 37600 block Gore Drive/Tennessee Road. Multiple pieces of mail found in the area. Deputy delivered mail to victims.
2:00 p.m. – Bryan Lee Schmitt, 42, was cited for a Linn County warrant for DUII.
2:43 p.m. – Single vehicle non-injury rollover crash, 38200 block Lacomb Drive/Brewster Road. Juan Villalobos Guzman, 50, of Salem stated he reached for his coffee and left the roadway, overcorrecting and losing control. Vehicle, a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500, rolled. No other damage or injury reported.
3:58 p.m. – Non-injury crash reported in 100 block of South Williams Street. Operator James Shelton, 77, of Lebanon, was traveling southbound on Williams in a Dolphin motor home bearing no plates. A witness told a deputy the step of the motor home struck a 2008 Honda, causing damage to the rear driver’s side tire and breaking the driver’s mirror off. Shelton was unaware he had hit the vehicle, but returned to the scene when the witness advised him of the crash. He was issued citations for operating without privilege, driving uninsured, operation of unsafe vehicle, and failure to display/switched plates.
4:35 p.m. – Melissa Ann Dewar, 47, was cited for driving uninsured and following too closely, Oak St. Report taken for motor vehicle crash.
Dec. 25
6:25 a.m. – Thomas Charles Trotts, 46, was taken into custody for Linn County warrants for failures to appear on original charges of identification theft and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear.
1:43 p.m. – Tony Delose Adams, 52, was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine, and a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of DUII.
2:44 p.m. – Joshua Leon Grubb-Whetstone Sr., 37, was cited for driving uninsured and driving while suspended, Grant St.
Dec. 26
4:38 a.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 27, of Lebanon, arrested for driving while license was revoked following a motor vehicle collision reported in 30700 block Santiam Highway. According to Sheriff’s log, McNees dozed off at the wheel while returning home from work, 30700 block Santiam Highway. Vehicle got stuck in deep mud in ditch. McNees uninjured. He was issued traffic citations and arranged to have vehicle removed in the morning.
10:08 a.m. – Kris Kimmel was taken into custody for a restraining order violation, Acorn St.
1:55 p.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle collision reported in 32200 block Hidden Valley Road/Mountain Man Lane. Brandon Miller, 37, of Sweet Home, lost control of his 2021 Tesla Model Y and slid off the road, hitting a CPI power pole and going through a field fence. Vehicle was towed from the scene. Report taken.
8:58 p.m. – Employees of a convenience store requested a patron, James Miller, 49, of Lebanon, be trespassed due to loitering and unwanted physical contact. 33700 block Santiam Hwy.
9:29 p.m. – Steven Eddie Blackwell Jr., 34, of Lebanon, arrested for driving under the influence, 31300 block Blueberry Hill Road. Sheriff’s log reported his breath sample showed blood alcohol content of .21. Cited and released, given courtesy ride to his destination. Report taken.
10:00 p.m. – James Miller, 49, of Lebanon, arrested for violation of restraining order. 37100 block Pony Road.
Dec. 27
8:36 a.m. – Deputies received report of fraudulent use of credit card for charges in excess of $3,500, 2500 block Primrose Street. Investigation conducted, report taken.
6:28 p.m. – Ed Bateson was trespassed from a store for allegedly stealing a pack of cigarettes after his debit card declined the purchase, Park St.
Dec. 28
7:02 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported in 37300 block Highway 226/Brewster Road. Rex Babb, 47, was traveling on Brewster Road when his vehicle ran into the back of a Scio Fire pickup, a 2019 Ford F150, with emergency lights activated. LCSO and Scio Fire were in the area investigating other crashes from the icy road conditions. Investigation determined Babb was traveling too fast for icy road conditions. No injuries reported.
1:37 p.m. – Kendria M. Wright, 29, was cited for a Linn County warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
4:55 p.m. – Soleil Victoria Thomas, 21, turned herself in and was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of DUII.
Dec. 29
6:28 a.m. – Phillip L. Lucas, 63, was cited on a Lebanon warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal citation, an Albany warrant for contempt of court, and a Linn County warrant for failure to appear II.
8:56 a.m. – Report taken for criminal mischief II and trespass of property, Weirich Drive.
1:03 p.m. – Jeremy R. Harris, 41, of Lebanon, arrested on warrants related to a parole violation. Taken to Linn County Jail. 30200 block Horseshoe Loop.
4:45 p.m. – Nicholas Smith was taken into custody following a domestic disturbance call, Oak St.

7:34 a.m. – Wesley Alan House, 37, was cited for trespassing, Maple St.
3:22 p.m. – Report taken for attempted theft of motorhome catalytic converter, Airport Road. Damage estimated at $80.
4:42 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had stolen a traffic sign, 32900 block Brewster Road. Deputies responded and convinced the individual to return the sign instead of being arrested.
Dec. 31
12:32 a.m. – Cheryl Lynn Perry-White, 54, was cited for theft II and cited on a Linn County warrant for parole violation on delivery of methamphetamine.
7:08 a.m. – Jason Deloriea, 25, was cited for driving while suspended, 5th St.
1:36 p.m. – Zachery Helgeson, 19, was cited for no valid ops and driving uninsured, Oak St.
5:00 p.m. – Justin Guy Griesbach, 44, was cited on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of DUII.

8:25 a.m. – Burglary reported at storage unit, 31500 block SW 5th Street. Investigation ongoing.
10:27 a.m. – Report taken for criminal mischief, car window broken out by large rock and two tires slashed, Morton St.

11:10 a.m. – Report taken for criminal mischief, three vehicles egged, B St.
6:37 p.m. – Shain Nicholas Hersey, 45, was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, Willow. He was arrested on a Lebanon warrant for parole violation and failure to appear on an original charge of giving false information to police and criminal citation, and a Linn County warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
8:45 p.m. – Information documented for domestic disturbance, Ash St.

9:05 a.m. – Christian Ann Smith, 32, was taken into custody for assault IV, Elmore St.
3:19 p.m. – Brandon Hugley, 33, of Lebanon, cited and released on warrant and served restraining order. 37100 block Pony Road. Report taken.
5:36 p.m. – Austin Carter, 27, of Lebanon, arrested for theft of over $100 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart in Lebanon earlier in the day following traffic stop in Tangent. Report taken.
Jan. 4
3:04 p.m. – Report taken for missing gun, 6th St.
5:15 p.m. – Information documented for a phone call, caller asked receiver about their vote, and receiver felt threatened, 8th St.
7:56 p.m. – John Cole, 42, of Lebanon, arrested and lodged at Linn County Jail on charges of menacing, probation violation and failure to appear warrant. 38700 block Lacomb Drive.
Jan. 5
4:19 p.m. – Report taken for theft II of four wheels, Sherman Ave.
5:04 p.m. – Daniel B. Collins, 26, was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of identification theft.
6:10 p.m. – Stephanie Shivers, 39, was cited for no valid ops and failure to carry proof of insurance, Main St.
Jan. 6
7:43 a.m. While on patrol on Middle Ridge Drive, deputy located bag of trash at Starker Gate in 37200 block of Middle Ridge. Ten minutes later, caller reported trash dumped at Cascade Timber Consulting 500 Gate, 36600 block Middle Ridge. Developed name and address for suspect. Investigation continuing. Report taken.
10:43 a.m. – Report taken for fraudulent activity with a social security number and unemployment claim, Oak St.
1:41 p.m. – Report taken for a motor vehicle crash, Oak St.

6:41 a.m. – Jesse Anderson, 55, was cited for theft III, Santiam Hwy.
9:23 a.m. – Caller reported dropping wallet in store Saturday, Jan. 2, and believes someone picked it up, 2000 block Stoltz Hill Road. Wallet contained credit cards, driver’s license and $100 in cash. Wallet was Carhartt brown fabric style. Store working on reviewing video surveillance. Report taken.
10:13 a.m. – Isaiah A. Ledford, 19, was cited for driving without a license and insurance, and no vehicle registration, 2nd St.
12:36 p.m. – Courtney Lynn Wells, 27, was cited for using a cell phone while driving, Main St.
1:42 p.m. – Chelsey Nicole Nelson, 34, was cited for speeding, 40 in a 25 MPH zone, Airport Road.
4:14 p.m. – Non-injury motor vehicle accident reported in 32600 block Denny School/Hayden roads. Driver, whose name was not available in report, swerved into ditch. Vehicle was already out by the time deputy arrived. Report taken.
4:18 p.m. – Caller reported trash can was stolen, 39600 block Almen Drive. Report taken.

1:32 p.m. – Report taken for criminal mischief, broken fencing and sheds broken into, 7th St.
3:33 p.m. – Robert Thomas Johnson, 38, was cited for a Lane County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of DUII.
9:07 p.m. – Cory Justin Strait, 22, was taken into custody for driving while suspended and DUII. Wild Chance Jones, 23, was taken into custody for DUII, Main St.
Jan. 9
7:29 a.m. – Matthew Pitts, 32, of Lebanon, arrested on felony parole violation warrant, 2300 block Porter St. Report taken.
9:46 a.m. – Willie Williams, 44, of Lebanon, arrested on three warrants or parole violation, failure to report as a sex offender. Report taken.
10:33 a.m. – Report taken for theft of a bicycle and scooter, 7th St. Loss valued at $170.
11:43 p.m. – Caller reported several large trees blocking road, 39000 block Mountain Home Drive. Linn County Road Department responded, cleared roadway.
7:50 p.m. – Report taken for theft, Tangent St. A former employee charged $700 to the business account.
Jan. 10
12:46 a.m. – Theft of roadway stop sign reported in 31800 block Hidden Valley Road/Berlin Road. Value estimated at $350. Deputies investigated, report taken.
1:31 a.m. – Report taken for theft III, Grove St. Toolbox stolen from vehicle.
1:36 a.m. – Caller complained about neighbors setting off fireworks at an unreasonable hour, 1600 block 9th Street. Neighbors were spoken to by deputy.
5:21 a.m. – Morgan Lumpkin was cited for Linn County warrants for failures to appear.
12:20 p.m. – Two-vehicle non-injury crash in 40100 block Lacomb Drive, at intersection with Kowitz Road. Sarah Farrell, 29, of Portland, driving a 2014 Ford Fusion, turned onto Lacomb Road from Kowitz when she pulled out in front of Kyle Brown, 25, of Sweet Home, who was driving a Dodge Caravan, according to Sheriff’s report. No injuries reported. Farrell was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Report taken.
2:06 p.m. – Report taken for theft III, Santiam Hwy. Suspect stole a 20 volt battery and possibly two airsoft pistols.
3:16 p.m. – Rick Jordan Maas, 41, was cited for Linn County warrants for failures to appear and parole violation for possession of methamphetamine; Salem warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of urinating/defecating in public and failure to appear on an original charge of trespassing.
8:47 p.m. – Richard Steward, 64, of Lebanon, arrested on multiple charges, 29300 block Santiam Terrace Road. He was found by a property owner in his truck, parked in the property owner’s barn. When deputies contacted him he had a firearm on the seat and was intoxicated and uncooperative, according to a Sheriff’s report. He was arrested for DUII, reckless driving and criminal trespass with a firearm. Report taken.
8:50 p.m. – Ed Bateson was taken into custody for trespassing, Sherman St.
11:40 p.m. – Amanda L. Jimenez, 38, was cited for a Linn County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine.
