May 15
8:52 a.m. – Caller reported that a trespassed male had returned to Thriftway, 621 Main St. Kyle Austin Hanscam, 30, was cited and released for second degree criminal trespass and unlawful possession of a weapon.
1:45 p.m. – A white 1985 Ford 35C box van was abandoned after someone cut the lock to enter Cascade Timber Consulting property in the 43700 block of North River Drive. The suspect had removed all items of value from the van before leaving. The vehicle was blocking the road, preventing firefighter access and work in the area. It was towed as a hazard. Report taken.
4:03 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen lawnmower, 1800 block of Tamarack St. The woman who had borrowed it was supposed to bring it back but returned the wrong one. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $149.
4:08 p.m. – Ember Ann McAlpin, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
7:11 p.m. – Caller reported a silver Chevrolet pickup apparently backing up toward the river and dumping trash, 1600 block of 9th Ave. Officer responded and contacted the male, who was just playing in the river. He was advised not to dump trash and denied driving the vehicle. Buzz Dodson Jr., 25, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.
May 16
5:47 a.m. – Caller reported a male acting aggressively toward another resident, FAC Shelter, 1450 24th Ave. A responding officer responded and was advised by an officer that the man was trespassed and refused to leave. Jonathan Warren Underwood, 29, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
6:01 a.m. – Darrel Gene Mullenix, 48, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, 1450 24th Ave.
11:45 a.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 30, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for initiating a false report, 1950 Main St.
1:07 p.m. – Deputy responded to a report of a hit-and-run that had occurred over the weekend, Whiskey Butte Drive/Cedar Creek Road. Caller told Sheriff’s Office that she crashed her vehicle as she was avoiding a collision with another vehicle, which fled the scene. Only the caller’s vehicle was damaged. Report taken.
1:59 p.m. – A 911 open line transmitted sound that resembled a disturbance, FAC facility, 1450 24th Ave. Another call reported a “Jonathan” assaulting staff. Jonathan Underwood, 29, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct.
6:53 p.m. – Caller reported that his niece had stolen money from him, 4600 block of Long St. The 15-year-old female was referred to the Linn County Juvenile Department for second-degree theft.
8:24 p.m. – Caller reported that a male attempted to initiate a dog attack, Sun Motel, 3026 Main St. Report taken for harassment.
9:02 p.m. – Caller reported being assaulted by her ex and that the male vandalized her car, 1700 block of Spruce St. Report taken for violation of release agreement. Investigation continuing.
9:18 p.m. – Devon Clement, 21, was cited for driving uninsured, 1400 block of Main St.
9:56 p.m. – Lawrence Lee Jones, 25, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Jail.
11:44 p.m. – Ricky Dale Becknal, 63, was cited and released on Lebanon Justice Court warrant for contempt of court, 1900 block of 53rd Ave.
May 17
3 a.m. – Jhenna Marie Lynn Lance, 29, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Pleasant Valley Bridge.
10:34 a.m. – Jeffrey Franklin Zeigler, 66, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft, Hwy. 20 westbound from 4900 block.
10:59 a.m. – Deputy responded to Calkins Boat Ramp, where a motor home was parked across spaces and its occupant was riding a motorized skateboard in the parking lot. He was warned for both and agreed to move along.
1:!3 p.m. – Deputy encountered a male collecting driftwood, 45000 block of Quartzville Road. The man was educated on the need for a permit to gather wood from Army Corps of Engineers property.
1:31 p.m. – Caller reported that her ex damaged her car, 18th Ave./Tamarack St. Report taken for third-degree criminal mischief.
7:13 p.m. – Marcus Anthony Cuellar, 34, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second degree criminal trespass, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
May 18
1:36 a.m. – Miguel Alfredo Gutierrez, 40, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of providing false information to a police officer, Eugene Police Department.
12:08 p.m. – Caller reported being assaulted by his brother, 1500 block of Tamarack St. Brian Lee Varney, 44, was cited and released for strangulation.
4:24 p.m. – Deputies recovered approximately 1.43 grams of what was presumed to be methamphetamine from a citizen who found it on the side of the road, 41900 block of North River Drive. Report taken.
4:52 p.m. – Deputy responded to Greenville Road/Comfort Lane, where someone had backed a truck and travel trailer down a driveway. Deputy contacted a single female occupant, who was warned to move along.
May 19
6:34 p.m. – Joshua Roebuck, 35, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on an original second-degree charge, on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft and on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license, 600 block of Main St.
7:02 p.m. – Joshua Leslie, 35, was cited and released on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for unlawful possession of meth X2, fourth-degree assault and harassment, 1500 block of Main St.
8:01 p.m. – Deputy responded to 911 hangup. Upon arriving in the 28700 block of Liberty Road, the deputy learned that a 1-year-old had been playing with grandma’s phone. No emergency.
9:09 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen packed grocery cart, 1950 Main St. Approximate loss of value: $28.
11:56 p.m. – Thomas Junior McCarthey, 59, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license, 5000 block of Main St.
May 20
8:26 p.m. – Caller reported a theft that had occurred earlier in the evening, Dollar General, 1937 Main St. Report taken for third-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $2.25.
8:42 p.m. – David Leverich, 52, was cited for no valid driver’s license, 1600 block of Main St.
8:53 p.m. – Rachell Ann Gandrud, 42, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
May 21
2:37 a.m. – The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from elderly female regarding mechanical birds peeking in her windows, 800 block of 43rd Ave.
10:01 a.m. – Caller reported a bicycle theft from a shed, 1500 block of Tamarack St. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $150.
10:17 a.m. – Deputy located trash dumped on Crawfordsville Drive. The Linn County Road Department requested that it be removed.
1:35 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Foster Dam Road located a female in a motor home on the north side of the dam. She was warned to be gone by 2 p.m. Monday or face enforcement action as she has, according to the Sheriff’s Office, “been an issue at two other locations in the past few months.”
3:43 p.m. – Jake Gosnell, 25, was cited and released for animal abandonment, 1100 block of 1st Ave.
4:20 p.m. – While on foot patrol, an officer found a juvenile damaging Dahlenburg Bridge, 877 14th Ave. The 15-year-old male was excluded from city parks until June 20.
6:49 p.m. – Buzz Star Dodson, 25, was cited and released for criminal driving, 1900 block of Long St.
8:29 p.m. – Jeromie Ray Tenbusch, 41, was arrested for a release-agreement violation, domestic violence/harassment and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, 700 block of 12th Ave.
9:06 p.m. – Caller reported son acting aggressively, 1230 block of 46th Ave. Dustin Lee Goodspeed, 38, was arrested for probation violation.
9:24 p.m. – Deputy responded to the Sweet Home Police Department to retrieve a dog found near the Calkins Park Boat Ramp, 44500 block Quartzville Road. The animal was lodged at Linn County Animal Control.
