Princess Hannah Savedra

When Princess Hannah Savedra thinks about the 1980s, she thinks of bright colors, big hair and stories from her parents about growing up during that time.

Her parents are Jason and Roxanne Savedra, and she has two sisters, Hailey and Heather. She works as a barista at Dutch Bros.

Savedra, 18, is a senior at Lebanon High School. She is a class senator for the Associated Student Body, a role she’s been in since her sophomore year. She is also one of three student representatives on the Lebanon Community School District School Board, was a junior Rotarian, and attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy summer camp in 2023.

During her high school years, she participated in varsity cheer, taking on the role of captain this last season. The team has placed in state in the last four years, consecutively capturing first, first, third and second place. She has also participated as a camp counselor for Outdoor School, and is on the track and field team.

Savedra was recently accepted onto the cheer team at Southern Oregon University and has yet to decide whether she will dual-enroll at SOU and Rogue Community College or Linn-Benton Community College. Either way, she plans to study pre-dental hygiene.

Savedra said that if she could visit anywhere in the world, it would be the Caribbean. Something people may not know about her is that she was diagnosed with epilepsy four years ago.

“I had many obstacles to navigate in order to achieve my athletic and academic goals,” she said. “Luckily for me, I have an amazing support system that helped me navigate and succeed.”

Savedra likes to spend her free time with friends and family.

“With my dad, we collect and restore classic cars,” she said. “With my friends, I enjoy beading, paddle boarding, exploring new places and so much more.”

It’s her family members that Savedra looks up to the most, particularly her sister Hailey and her mom. According to Savedra, her mom is an “outgoing, well-spoken, inspirational” elementary school teacher who is “unapologetically herself” every day.

“My mom helps me see things from all perspectives and gives me the best advice for every issue I may have,” she said.

As for Hailey, Savedra said she has a strong personality and teaches her how to be confident in herself.

“Both my mom and my sister were strawberry princesses and are so important in how I got where I am,” she said.
