Five persons arrested on contempt of court and probation violation warrants.
Police issued two citations for driving while suspended, one for failure to carry proof of insurance, one for violation of the basic rule, one for failure to obey a traffic control device and one for driving uninsured.
12:40 a.m. – Caller reported that someone stole his girlfriend’s bank card, 1400 block of S. Main Street. Card recovered. Report taken. Under investigation.
3:32 a.m. – Three juveniles referred to Juvenile Department for curfew violation, third-degree theft and unlawful possession of a firearm, 500 N. 5th Street. One also referred for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and minor in possession of marijuana. One also referred for second-degree criminal mischief and minor in possession of tobacco, and one referred for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Another juvenile referred for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and third-degree theft, 500 N. 5th St., Pioneer School. Caller had reported six to eight juveniles behind the school. Investigation revealed multiple car prowls.
6:26 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of cans, 3200 block of Quail Place. Loss valued at $10. Caller had it on video but did not want to pursue charges. The caller just wanted the thief counseled.
10:04 p.m. – Sherry Annette Price, 55, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass, 300 block of Park Street. Caller had reported a female walking up to the caller’s porch and attempting to go into the caller’s house.

2:01 a.m. – Motorcyle eluded police at speeds of up to 110 mph, South Santiam Highway. Police terminated the pursuit due to high speeds and a citizen rider. Information passed on to Oregon State Police, Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Sweet Home Police Department.
7:37 a.m. – Caller reported a female forced entry and assaulted him, 38100 block of Lawrence Drive. Report taken.

5:51 p.m. – Kody Michael Elmer, 23, arrested for second-degree theft, 3290 S. Santiam Hwy., Wal-Mart. Caller had reported the theft of a $112 chainsaw. The item had been pawned at Fast Cash. Transported to Linn County Jail.

9:43 a.m. – Caller reported she set her glasses on the counter at the Verizon store, 3110 S. Santiam Hwy. When she returned, they were gone. Under investigation.
12:10 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a fishing pole and scooter, 2700 block of River Road. Report taken.
6:21 p.m. – Leslie Gibson arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree theft, 1890 S. Main St., Appletree Restaurant.

9:40 p.m. – Caller and witnesses reported that a male unsuccessfully attempted to ignite a grass fire near S. 5th and E. Grant.
11:36 p.m. – David Arthur Haynes, 36, arrested for driving under the influence and possession of meth, S. Williams and E. Vine. Cited and released.

12:58 a.m. – Pamela Dixon, 65, arrested for driving under the influence, 37700 block of 3rd Street.
6:56 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen vehicle, 100 block of W. Jadon Drive. Stolen vehicle was a 1995 black Honda Accord with plate number TZY 809. The hood was faded gray. A red “Parker Bone” bowling pennant was in the back window. Driver front quarter panel sticks out, and the steering column cowling was removed and damaged in a previous attempted theft. 7:23 a.m. – Deandre Morgan Ufford, 30, arrested for misdemeanor driving while suspended, S. 5th and W. Sherman.
9:19 a.m. – Caller reported a window partially broken in a room, 700 block of S. 10th Street. Report taken.
4:24 p.m. – Caller reported two bikes worth $700 stolen from a campsite at Waterloo Park. Report taken.
9:19 p.m. – Caller reported a small fire behind Bi-Mart, 2730 S. Main St. Callerr reported a group of five or six boys lit the fire and left on foot. A second caller also saw two boys start a fire andd then spray paint the back of the building. Report taken.
10:29 p.m. – A juvenile referred to Juvenile Department on four counts of second-degree criminal mischief, 11th and Sherman. A caller reported that someone broke out the driver’s window of a vehicle, 700 block of W. D Street. A second caller reported a group of four to five young teens broke out a window, 900 block of S. 9th. A third caller reported that three juveniles attempted to break into his house, and he detained one of them. Officer contacted three juveniles. A fourth victim had a broken window, 800 block of W. Oak Street.

2:26 a.m. – Gloriaanne Marie Budd, 44, arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment, 4100 block of Santiam Highway. Transported to Linn County Jail.
10:28 a.m. – Caller reported a theft from a resident’s room, 100 block of C Street. Report taken.
11:22 a.m. – Caller reported that someone opened a credit card using her identity, 200 block of Cascade Drive. No money lost. Caller counseled on steps to protect her credit.
12:39 p.m. – Caller reported that someone ransacked her vehicle and took her wallet, 300 block of F Street. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway with windows down. Report taken.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported a possible fraud, 000 block of Wagon Wheel Drive. The caller’s husband recently died. Prior to passing, he had given his bank account number and access codes to some friends who needed money. According to the caller, they were told to remove a certain amount of money. The friends removed more than they were supposed to and now the account is in default. The sister of a friend had been contacting the caller trying to get more money from her, but the caller refused. The female also had been trying to get the caller to send her money in the form of Amazon gift cards. The female threatened to turn the caller in to ICE if she didn’t pay. The caller said she is a legal citizen. Officer counseled the caller, who will cease contact with the friends and the female. She shut down the bank account and was advised to watch her account for any suspicious activity.
2:59 p.m. – Caller reported he found his stolen bicycle at Wal-Mart, 3290 S. Santiam Hwy. He got into a physical altercation with the male who had it. The male then left with the bike. The caller was not injured. The caller showed the officer a photo of the male who had the bike.
3:44 p.m. – Caller reported a large bag of cans was taken from his backyard, 100 block of Wheeler Street. Information documented.
7:06 p.m. – Caller reported broken windows and graffiti, 500 N. 5th Street. Damage more than $1,000. Report taken.
9:30 p.m. – Caller found video footage of five juveniles jumping on top of several cars at 910 S. Main St., Top Line Auto. Report taken for criminal mischief.

8:33 p.m. – Caller reported that it appeared someone broke into his apartment but nothing appeared to be taken, 300 block of S. Main Street.
9:36 p.m. – Caller reported several cedar trees with broken branches and graffiti on the power station, 1300 block of 4th Street. Report taken.

1:07 a.m. – Caller reported her son was hit by a vehicle while he was walking, which left the scene, S. 10th and Walker. Report taken. Caller took victim to the hospital in Albany. Report taken. The vehicle was described as a newer black or blue car with a female driver who had long hair.
7:41 a.m. – Paul Allen Conklin, 28, arrested on Linn County warrant for possession of meth and possession of a restricted weapon, Linn County warrant for failure to appear and two Albany warrants for failure to appear, 3290 S. Main St., Wal-Mart. Caller had reported the theft of clothing items.
10:58 a.m. – Case pulled for a sex crime.
12:57 p.m. – Caller reported that someone dented the hood of his vehicle, 600 block of N. 5th Street. Report taken.
3:06 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle hit a cart, smashing the cart into another vehicle, 1983 S. Main St., Safeway. Damage was minor, and the owner was not very concerned. Information documented.
7:59 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of her purse from a shopping cart, 3290 S. Main St., Wal-Mart. Report taken. Contents included jewelry, and loss valued at more than $10,000.
July 23

2:02 a.m. – Caller reported a male was looking into cars and he shined a light into one of the caller’s bedroom windows, 100 block of N. 2nd Street. Officer located the subject on Mary Street near 3rd Street. The subject said he was looking for his wife, who was supposed to be in some trailer around Olive Street. He was advised to go home.
7:19 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of two batteries from his shop on 4th Street.
11:44 a.m. – Callerr reported two males using a metal object to try to open the window of an SUV, 3290 S. Main St., Wal-Mart. Officer contacted a male subject, who advised that a dog had hit the door lock with the keys still in the vehicle. The subject had already called a locksmith.
4:04 p.m. – Caller reported a female subject went her house and hit the caller’s roommate’s door with a bat and then went outside and hit the caller’s car, 1500 block of 7th Street. Report taken.

3:01 a.m. – Caller reported that two juveniles damaged tents at location then fled and drove away, 3601 S. Santiam Hwy., Cheadle Lake. Damage estimated at $60. Information documented.
11:37 a.m. – Caller reported the theft of his backpack, which contained $200 in marijuana, related items and $26 in cash, 1000 block of S. Grove Street. Report taken.
12:40 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of three batteries, 2700 block of S. Main Road. A semi was damaged where suspects tried to pry open a battery pack.
6:01 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a bicycle, 42 Market Street.

7:43 p.m. – Caller reported two windows were shattered, 400 block of C Street. It looked like someone doing a cookie in the gravel parking lot caused rocks to spray up and break the windows. Damage estimated at $300. Report taken.
9:29 p.m. – Caller reported that three males at and left without paying, 50 W. Oak St., Mama’s Fine Italian. Loss valued at $39. Report taken.
July 20

10:16 a.m. – Caller reported receiving a call from Umpqua Bank’s corporate office and someone had allegedly opened a new account with his information, 700 block of Park Street. The bank’s fraud department Is investigating.
5:57 p.m. – Caller reported that the caller’s vehicle was hit while parked at Safeway, 1983 S. Main Street. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a motor home or truck-type vehicle pulling a race car with #88 painted on it. The crash caused minor scrape damage to the rear right bumper. 6:23 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a cell phone, 600 block of N. 5th Street. Report taken. Loss valued at $300.
10:40 p.m. – Caller reported two males fighting, breaking bottles, with their bicycles in the roadway, 1200 block of E. Grant Street. When they heard sirens, the subjects hugged and fled the area. Officer unable to locate.
11:37 p.m. – Matthew James Frasure, 48, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 700 block of E Street. Caller had reported a male threatening people, slashing tires and smashing windows in a vehicle.
July 19

2:52 a.m. – Caller reported a “Tangent” street sign in the roadway, Tangent and Hansard. The sign was actually for Tangent and 9th. The pole was there but flattened. Report taken for hit and run. Information sent to Public Works.
3:41 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen bike, 31200 block of 1st Street. Report taken.
4:13 a.m. – Angela Lynn Laderlich, 38, cited for criminal trespass, 1400 block of S. Main Street.
11:53 a.m. – Caller reported a dumpster at Bigfoot Bites had been spray painted and a mop and broom handle broken, 1100 block of S. Main Street. Information documented.
3:01 p.m. – Caller reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle during the night and took a GPS unit, camera and paperwork, 700 block of Airway Road. Caller just wanted the information documented and did not have detailed information about the items that were stolen.
3:55 p.m. – Caller reported that sometime in the previous two weeks someone missed the stop sign at Airport and Stoltz Hill, ran into his fence and knocked it down. Caller wanted information documented and a records check of crashes at the location in the past two weeks. Damage estimated at $750.

8:08 p.m. – Caller reported two kids breaking into a vacant house, 400 block of W. Rose Street. Caller saw one of them throw a small piece of wood through a window. Caller said he asked them what they were doing. Juvenile said, “kicking in the door.” The juveniles admitted being in the house but denied throwing wood through a window. 2:53 p.m. – Caller reported her husband and a male got into a fight, 700 block of F Street. When the victim began counseling the suspect about throwing tires away in an apartment dumpster, the suspect started mouthing off, threw juice on the victim and tried to punch him three times, connecting once. 8:07 a.m. – Caller reported that someone entered his vehicle during the night and took several custom drones, a controller, a headset, batteries, a GoPro, a gym bag and gym key, worth a total of about $3,700, 800 block of W. Ash Street. Report taken.
9:42 a.m. – Caller reported a possible computer repair scam via the internet, 3200 block of Foxglove Street. The caller said that back in February she paid $350 to have an Internet service clean up her computer. She could not articulate what service she received or what changes were made to the computer because, she said, she is not computer savvy. The caller said a female called her today and told her to go to the store, buy YouTube money cards and send them to her, and then the female said she would unlock the caller’s computer. The female told the caller she wasn’t abiding by the contract, and that’s why she locked the computer. The caller did not purchase the YouTube cards. Officer unable to determine if a crime occurred in February, but no crime was committed today. The caller was not out any money today. The officer suggested having a professional look at her computer.
10:22 a.m. – Caller reported sending $14,060 in three transactions to people who said she won a sweepstakes, 800 block of Sugarberry Lane. One of the scammers sent her a magazine with $7,000 in $50 bills and had her send it to another address. Report taken for theft by deception.
4:52 p.m. – Caller reported a hit and run, 600 block of S. Main Street. Caller said her vehicle was hit while she was stopped in the left lane before Sherman Street. The other driver had no ID or paperwork for the truck. The truck had no plates. The female wouldn’t provide information. Report taken.
5:04 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a seat and a bar from a bicycle, 1900 block of S. 2nd Street. Report taken.
9:54 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle swerving side to side at various speeds, Highway 34 and Denny School Road. Driver warned for defective taillight. The driver was part of the Gambler 500 and had loose steering.
9:55 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle moving at erratic speeds and flashing a yellow caution light with a siren when passing vehicles. Officer stopped vehicle at Main and Rose. Vehicle was part of the Gambler 500. Officer counseled the driver on the lights and sirens.

8:28 p.m. – Caller reported a male walking around the apartment complex with what appeared to be a gun, 42 Market St. A second callerr reported that a male pointed an Airsoft gun at the caller. Report taken for second-degree disorderly conduct and menacing.
