Public safety: June 2017

Every individual named or referenced is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

June 11

1:12 p.m. – Kendra Jones, 23, was arrested for second-degree theft. A Walmart employee reported a woman in her 20s with a large bag full of merchandise over her shoulder. She was wearing shoes she took from the store and got into a green four-door sedan.

7:27 p.m. – Kevin Lee Ashe, 24, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for third-degree theft.

8:12 p.m. – A fraudulent $100 was passed at Walmart at approximately 3:19 a.m. The incident is under investigation.

8:14 p.m. – A fraudulent $100 bill was passed at Walmart sometime on June 10. a report was taken.

June 10

10:16 p.m. – A purple Magna girls mountain bike was found on its kickstand in the middle of Sherman Street. A report for found property was taken.

10:50 p.m. – Michael Scott Branton, 41, was arrested on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

June 9

1:34 a.m. – A blue “Rock Hopper” bicycle was stolen from Bobo’s. It was unlocked by the front door. A report was taken.

6:33 a.m. – A stereo and Kenwood amplifier were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of N. Fifth Street. Report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.

6:39 a.m. – A caller’s vehicle was entered between 5 p.m. on June 8 and 6:20 a.m. the day of the call, in the 700 block of N. Fifth Street. Oregon Ducks seat covers and mats, a 140-piece Craftsman tool set, a black and gold Easton Baseball bat, miscellaneous credit cards, and keys were taken. A report was taken.

4:12 p.m. – Christopher Thomas Meredith, 29, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Linn County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation and a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

5:42 p.m. – Jonathan Edward Marsh, 28, turned himself in on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

5:58 p.m. – John Joseph Reagan, 42, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, second-degree assault, menacing, strangulation and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration.

June 7

12:50 a.m. – A resident in the 200 block of Park Street reported a large grey flower pot containing orange flowers was stolen from her front porch. Loss value $50.

1:31 a.m. – Three different callers reported hearing what sounded like gunshots near the 1100 block of Hiatt Street. Officers located a firework wrapper in the roadway and contacted a 38-year-old man who denied setting it off. He was counseled. No additional report was taken.

4:57 a.m. – Chevron employees reported the back door open and broken out. The security video showed three subjects, who appeared to be male, approach Chevron from the east on Grant Street. One stayed at the north door as a lookout and the other two kicked the glass out of the door and entered. All were wearing masks, hats and hoods. The two that entered took approximately $120 worth of cigarettes and left. A report for second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree theft was taken.

6:17 a.m. – A caller said he received multiple scam calls from a male and a female throughout the day. They seemed to have middle eastern accents. The initial call was from the woman who said a grant was available to him but he had to pay to receive it. The caller purchased two $250 Walmart gift cards and five Steam $50 cards. Total loss value $750. A report was taken.

6:55 a.m. – Toolboxes on the service bed of a truck parked in the 2600 block of S. 10th Street were found open and in disarray. Nothing was missing as far as the caller knew. One toolbox was pried open, damaging the lid. A report for vandalism was taken.

8:30 a.m. – William Lawrence McRae, 51, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court, probation violation and failure to appear. He also had a Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.

9:29 a.m. – A blue child-size Mongoose Mountain bike had been sitting out in the 3200 block of Oak Terrace Drive since Monday. The serial number returned clear on June 5. It was seized as found property. A report was taken.

9:46 a.m. – A Wilco employee reported a man and woman stole boots. The suspects are a white female in her 40s with long brown hair and a tall thin white male in his 50s with thin gray hair and a goatee. Loss value $129.99. A report was taken.

9:52 a.m. – A student left his wallet on the bus. Upon search of the wallet for ID, throwing stars were found. Review of bus video showed the student throwing stars at another student. The incident occurred on June 6 at about 3:50 p.m. Parents and students were contacted. Both students had small surface puncture wounds on their legs from getting hit by the stars. Parents will be advising if they wish to pursue charges. The school is handling discipline as well.

10:22 a.m. – Kandice Lorall Gates, 31, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. She also had a Linn County felony warrant for failure to comply, identity theft and three additional Linn County warrants for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree trespass, and second-degree attempted burglary. She was lodged at the Lebanon jail until court on June 13. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has holds on her.

3:56 p.m. – Jordan Davis was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. The judge sentenced him to 48 hours.

4:01 p.m. – Katie Dawn Stockwell, 33, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. A caller said a woman was driving her pickup truck in the 2600 block of S. Santiam Highway. She followed her toward Waterloo Chapel. Stockwell had an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. The vehicle was not stolen. A report was taken.

June 6

12:01 a.m. – Stephanie Ann Bobbitt, 31, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. She also had a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for probation violation. A report was taken.

2:40 p.m. – Shelly Laine Valentine, 53, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. She also had a Linn County Justice Court warrant for contempt. A SafeHaven employee said they received an anonymous tip from someone about an abandoned trailer behind Les Schwab full of cats. An officer went out with Animal Control. Valentine said she had approximately 12 cats in the trailer. Animal Control looked inside the trailer and saw no cats in distress. No report on ordinance violation.

2:47 p.m. – A woman reported fraudulent activity on her debit card. She was called by the Key Bank fraud department about an attempted ATM withdrawal somewhere in Michigan. No money was actually taken and her accounts have been cancelled. She said she wanted to report it in case others in the area were victimized. No report.

10:48 p.m. – Ryan Timothy Nugent, 23, was charged with reckless driving and DUII. BAC 0.09. A driver of a 1999 Honda Civic passed an officer at a high rate of speed and spun out by a church, near Milton and S. Williams Streets. Both axles were broken. Nugent requested medics.

June 4

12:34 a.m. – A caller reported a silver or white Saturn with bumper stickers hit his vehicle near D and Seventh Streets about two hours before the call.  There was damage to the victim vehicle and and likely significant damage to the suspect vehicle, which had leaked significant fluids. The suspect vehicle was found on the railroad tracks at the Santiam Travel Station. It was towed and entered into LEDS. The registered owner’s wallet and a key to the vehicle were found inside. Officers contacted the man who admitted he had had too much to drink the night before.

3:17 p.m. – An older male stole 2camping gear and a Haier air conditioner from Walmart. Officers were unable to make contact at the suspect’s last known address. A report for second-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass was taken.

5:45 p.m. – Latosha Lynn Hanson, 31, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

9:04 p.m. – A vehicle was broken into overnight in the 2100 block of Mickie Drive. Credit cards and $200 in cash were taken. One of the missing credit cards was used at Walmart and Auto Zone. There were no signs of forced entry. A report was taken.

June 3

4 a.m. – A caller reported two boys, aged between 5 and 9 years old, at Walmart without parents. One was wearing a pink hoodie with a black hat that had a marijuana symbol. The caller had the younger one in custody but he broke free. Officers contacted the boys and released them to a parent. One was referred for curfew.

4:20 a.m. – Julia Rose Trietsch, 29, was arrested on Lebanon Muncipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. She also had a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citationz and an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for probation violation. She was transported to the Lebanon Justice Center.

7:53 p.m. – A man stole a $20 bill off a customer’s bill that was sitting on the counter at Ma’s Restaurant. A video showed a 6 foot 2 inch tall man with short hair, tattoos and pierced ears in his 20s. A report for third-degree theft was taken.

8:44 p.m. – Anna Maria Martel, 31, was arrested for harassment and second-degree criminal trespass. She was transported to the Justice Center.

June 2

3:06 p.m. – A black Verizon flip phone was found near Park and Oak Streets. It was kept in records for the weekend. The male who found it wanted to claim it. No estimated value.

3:34 p.m. – Steven Edward Robinson, 26, turned himself in on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. He also had a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for criminal driving while suspended.

June 1

1:31 a.m. – Mariama Grace Hoerauf, 21, was arrested on a Linn County Supervisory Authority warrant for failure to comply, giving false information to police. She was lodged at the Justice Center.

2:42 a.m. – James David Neal 25, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation, second-degree failure to appear, failure to comply, resisting arrest. He also had an Albany Municipal Court warrant.

8:39 a.m. – A female appeared to be passed out at the wheel of her vehicle with the door open, but she was just hunched over her cell phone playing a game while listening to OPB, in the 900 block of S. Williams Street. No report.

10:51 a.m. – A woman reported her EBT card was stolen from Waterloo and her white Samsung Galaxy S5 phone was stolen from Ralston Park on May 31. She was put in contact with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for the EBT card. A report was taken for the phone theft.

2:47 p.m. – A Lebanon High School student said it appeared that someone rifled through his backpack while it was in the band room, where it had been since the beginning of sixth period. A black charging block and cable, a black aux cable and a set of keys were missing. The school resource officer planned to check video to locate a suspect. A report was taken.

6:41 p.m. – Kristopher Scott Clark, 26, was arrested on a Lincoln County Circuit Court warrant for parole violation. He had Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear, original charge fourth-degree assault, ID theft and second-degree theft, and contempt of court.

He also had Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation, original charge second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree failure to appear, original charge second-degree criminal trespass, and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged at the Linn County Jail.

7:34 p.m. – Shelly Marie Stevenson, 41, was arrested on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. A report was taken.

10:15 p.m. – Sherrie May Moschkau, 31, was arrested on a felony Douglas County warrant for failure to appear, first-degree theft, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. She also was in custody for third-degree theft. Nicholas Allenby, 38, was arrested for third-degree theft. Moschkau was transported to Linn County Jail.

May 31

10:42 a.m. – Joseph Vargas, 33, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant from contempt of court and probation violation. Marie Ramos, 37, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft.

11:29 a.m. – Caller found a rifle while cleaning out the property after renters vacated, 600 block of W. Ash Street. A report for found property was taken.

9:43 p.m. – A caller said $500 worth of clothes, $60 worth of makeup and tote valued at $10 were taken from her home in the 300 block of S. Second Street. A report for second-degree theft was taken.

May 30

8:57 a.m. – Kimberly J. Wolf, 37, was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and frequenting a house where drugs are sold/used.

James E. Mobley, 32, was arrested and charged with frequenting a house where drugs are sold/used.

Daniel D. Walburn, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and frequenting a house where drugs are sold/used.

Jennifer O. Garcia, 28, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and frequenting a house where drugs are sold/used.

Wolf and Walburn were transported to the Linn County jail for unrelated arrest warrants, and Mr. Mobley and Ms. Garcia were cited and released after being booked at the Lebanon Justice Center Jail.

10:18 a.m. – Eduardo Aaron Vasquez, 21, was arrested for a restraining order violation.

11:27 a.m. – Jaymee Leana Cabral, 27, was charged with DUII, giving false information, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Her vehicle was impounded.

1:49 p.m. – A woman found cash near N. Fifth and Mary Streets and would like it if not claimed.

1:59 p.m. – An LG cell phone was turned in to the Lebanon Justice Center. A report for found property was taken.

6:18 p.m. – Jonas Bradley Curtiss, 41, was arrested for harassment. Two callers said a man was yelling, threatening to loot a house in the 400 block of Mary Street. A woman was crying and there were children in the house. He was lodged at the Linn County Jail. A report was taken.

9:29 p.m. – Caller said someone stole his father’s bank card and drained the money from his account. The incident is under investigation.

10:20 p.m. – A gold iPhone 6 with a black case with a blue eyeball on it was taken from Merlin’s within an hour of the call. It was entered into LEDS. A report for second-degree theft was taken.

May 29

8:38 p.m. – A pink Next full-suspension mountain bike was taken from a carport in the 1500 block of Post Street sometime overnight. A report was taken.

May 28

8:23 a.m. – Delbert Ray McGuire, 47, was arrested for second-degree assault. A caller said a man assaulted her husband near Milton and Post Streets.

9:04 a.m. – A woman turned in two knives that she found. One was a military-type knife with duct tape on it. The other was unknown. An officer took them for destruction.

9:13 a.m. – Billy Wayne Hatch, 40, was arrested on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge trespassing.

6:39 p.m. – A Walmart employee said a woman took craft bags in her purse and went out the grocery doors. She was wearing a black shirt, had red hair and a red purse. She got into a black SUV. Report for third-degree theft.

10:03 p.m. – Allan Scott Pinner, 60, was arrested on a Linn County warrant for failure to appear, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He also had Linn County warrants for failure to appear, original charge harassment.

May 27

11:37 a.m. – An air soft rifle was taken on May 26. Bobo’s has the incident on security video. A report was taken.

12:58 p.m. – A caller said an Anker brand black iPhone car charger and $40 cash were taken from a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Fifth Street. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle and the caller said it most likely was locked. A report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft was taken.

2:30 p.m. – Two tool sets were taken from Walmart on May 24. A report was taken.

11:12 p.m. – Angela Sue Hays, 41, was arrested for DUII. A female in a vehicle hit a parked car in the 900 block of Wassom Street. There were no injuries. The airbag in Hays’ vehicle was deployed. Her nose was bleeding and medics were requested.

May 26

7:15 a.m. – Robert Cradic, 49, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, original charge driving while suspended. He was cited to appear on the warrant. A report was taken.

8:17 a.m. – A caller said a man was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun wrapped in a black shirt near S. Seventh Street and Walker Road. An officer contacted the man who was carrying a sword to his friend’s house. No report was taken.

2:23 p.m. – A Lincoln wire welder, gray Argon tank and small red air compressor were taken from a garage in the 400 block of Tangent Street within the last three weeks. The caller also said a lock that did not belong to him was on his garage. A report was taken.

7:45 p.m. – A caller reported people having sex in a vehicle near the garden department of Walmart.

9:33 p.m. – A 54 cm, 12-speed Miyata, model 618 GT street bike was stolen from outside a garage in the 300 block of W. Cedar Drive sometime overnight. A report was taken.

May 25

8 a.m. – A 2001 Honda Civic was stolen from the 700 block of N. Fifth Street sometime between 10 p.m. the previous night and the time of the call. A phone, Dell Latitude E5430 laptop, small blue generator and makeup in a navy colored bag with an anchor. The laptop was entered into LEDS as stolen. A report was taken.

12:01 p.m. – A woman found a Samsung tablet a couple of days ago near S. Main and W. Maple Streets. It was entered into LEDS as stolen. A report was taken.

2:10 p.m. – A Troybuilt rototiller was taken from a residence in the 800 block of W. Oak Street. Loss value $180. A report was taken.

2:12 p.m. – Stephanie Ann Omnik, 38, was arrested for third-degree shoplifting. Items were recovered from a female shoplifter at Rite Aid. A report was taken.

May 24

2:40 p.m. – An attempted break-in was reported at the Gold Buyer sometime between 6 p.m. on May 23 and 11 a.m. the day of the call. It did not appear entry was made. There was only damage to the door. A report was taken.

5:27 p.m. – A caller received a fraudulent check in the mail from Western Union. She was scammed out of $250 through an online ad for puppies. A report was taken.

May 23

9:10 a.m. – Someone stole keys to the video poker machines at Bobo’s at 5:21 p.m. on May 20. The incident is on video and it is under investigation. A report was taken.

12:01 p.m. – A caller reported fraudulent use of his “Net Spend” credit card. Loss over $3,000. One charge was made in Franklin, Tenn. for a total of $3,047.40 at Music City Pawn. He was not able to get a statement since the charge was too recent, according to Net Spend and they do not know if they will be refunding the money. A report was taken.

1:32 p.m. – A caller reported a possible break-in at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church sometime overnight. Items were moved about but nothing was damaged or taken.

2:38 p.m. – James Lewis Clayburn, 60, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. William Dustin Cummings, 32, was arrested on a  Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation. There was a bike crash at the docks in the 1300 block of E. Grant Street. Both men involved were injured and transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Report for warrants.

May 22

8:59 a.m. – Shaun Vincent Carroll, 58, was arrested on  Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation. He also was arrested on a Lane County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear and contempt of court. He also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

9:18 a.m. – Jeremy Harley Jacobs, 45, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

9:30 a.m. – A laptop, clothes and a tote bag were taken out of an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of N. Fifth Street.

10:18 a.m. – Nathan Bryan Raymond turned himself in on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation.

11:54 a.m. – Chavana Ann Bowser, 25, was arrested fro third-degree theft at Safeway. Loss value: $40 or $50. A report was taken.

12:52 p.m. – Justin Taylor Fields, 25, was arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for contempt of court and probation violation.

7:37 p.m. – Eric Steven York, 32, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation, original charge, third-degree theft. He also had a Linn County Sheriff’s warrant for contempt of court.

May 21

2:38 a.m. – A caller reported vandalism to her vehicle sometime between 10:30 p.m. and the time of the call, in the 1000 block of S. Second Street. She found a knife handle on the sidewalk, used to cut tires at the scene. A report was taken.

4 a.m. – A 7-Eleven employee reported harassing phone calls. An officer spoke to the pranksters who wanted to fight him. The officer pretended to be the manager, however, they told him they were at different locations around Lebanon. Officers were unable to locate them at those locations. No report was taken.

4:26 a.m. –  A 15-year-old female and 16-year-old male were contacted in the 2100 block of S. Seventh Street, near Cascade School, possibly related to the previous call. They were counseled and informed to go straight home. No report was taken.

10:39 a.m. – James Albert Leum, 56, was arrested on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

12:51 p.m. – Sherman Norman Tagen, 39, was arrested on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, original charge driving while suspended.

11:02 p.m. – A caller just watched someone steal her mother’s 1997 White Jetta from the 100 block of Milton Street.  The keys went missing a couple of weeks ago. It had orange tape on both rear tail lights. It was entered into LEDS.

May 20

8:32 a.m. – An HTC smartphone in a black and pink case was found and turned in to the Lebanon Police Department.

1:16 p.m. – Ronald Andrew Mowdy, 23, was arrested on Benton County Circuit Court for second-degree criminal mischief. He also had a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court and probation violation.

3:35 p.m. – Michael Scott Doyle, 36, was arrested for second-degree forgery and third-degree theft by deception. A Safeway employee reported a man forged a can return slip and cashed it out.

4:27 p.m. – Ronald Dee Linn, 28, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Oregon State Parole Board for parole violation.

May 19

3:32 a.m. – Christina Kaj Weyand, 38, was arrested for DUII. A caller reported a vehicle stopping in the middle of the road near Airway Road and W. Oak Street, and driving up on the curb. It was stopped near C and Second Streets. A report was taken.

7 a.m. – A blue and silver Mongoose Shimano mountain bike was taken from a mobile home park in the 3200 block of Oak Terrace sometime overnight. A report for third-degree theft was taken.

7:43 a.m. – A Lebanon High School staff member reported a juvenile female was was hit by a vehicle. The 73-year-old driver was contacted and counseled about notifying the police if she ever gets into a crash involving a person again. She admitted to it being a low-speed, low-impact crash. School staff identified and located the student via video surveillance. The 17-year-old female student was seen at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital as a precaution. She complained of pain her side and knee. A report was taken.

1:40 p.m. – Lawrence Matthew Stubbs, 40, was arrested for harassment and second-degree criminal mischief.

5 p.m. – Jason Dallas, 45, was arrested for felony domestic strangulation. He also was charged with interference with making a report.

May 18

12:16 a.m. – Ryan A Arundel, 39, was arrested on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear, original charge DUII and interference with peace parole probation officer.

May 17

10:18 a.m. – Kenneth Eugene Lane, 38, was arrested on a state-wide felony warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court for probation violation, original charge possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

May 16

8:10 a.m. – Jaromy Christ Mack, 46, was charged with fourth-degree felony domestic assault. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

12:15 p.m. – A purse was taken from a basket at MegaFoods while she was loading her vehicle. Her purse contained a green wallet with $300 cash, driver’s license and various cards. There was store video of the suspect who appeared to be in his 60s, wearing a white cowboy hat, plaid shirt and blue jeans. He drove away in what appeared to be an older Lincoln Towncar, silver or light blue in color. A report was taken.
