July 26
11:48 a.m. – Caller reported finding small plastic bottle with a short length of cannon fuse protruding from the cap, in the upper parking lot of McDowell Creek Park, 43100 block McDowell Creek Drive. Deputy checked the bottle, determined it did not have all of the components of an explosive device. Parts were separated and disposed of.
July 27
8:46 p.m. – Brenda Elaine Diet-rich, 34, cited for driving while suspended. Franklin Street.
July 28
7:34 a.m. – Kenneth Lane cited on Linn County Circuit Court felony warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Nicholas Orval Duncan Jr., 42, cited on Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear. Cited and released. 12th Street.
8:40 a.m. – Richard K. Huffman, 32, cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Cited and released. 2nd Street.
9:55 a.m. – Deputy stopped motorcyclist for not signaling turn. Operator had no driver’s license and was ineligible to have a license. Father arrived and picked up operator and motorcycle. Both cited for violations. 31400 block Kowitz Road.
10:33 a.m. – Christina M. Goodenough, 37, cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for second-degree theft and failure to appear after police responded to report of a fight on 10th Street.
11:12 a.m. – Caller reported travel trailer was broken into between July 25 and July 28, discovered by property manager at Airport Road location. Minor damage to fence.
11:52 a.m. – Caller reported that she is an independent contractor for a food delivery service and delivered a $70 order to a location on Robbins Street the previous Saturday, and that the resident is claiming no delivery was made. Caller said she has proof of delivery and reported six similar thefts, at different locations. She was counseled on making civil claims.
July 29
2:07 p.m. – Non-injury crash in 34400 block Meridian Road/Baptist Church Drive. Driver stopped vehicle to talk to someone and was struck from behind. Operator of second vehicle told deputies she did not realize the vehicle in front of her was not moving until it was too late to avoid a collision.
7:17 p.m. – Caller reported stolen vehicle in 32200 block Hardman Road. No other details. Report taken.
July 30
9:25 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into vacant house in 40800 block McDowell Creek Drive and stole numerous items, including jewelry. Loss estimate unavailable. Caller removed other items of value from house. Report taken.
10:36 p.m. – Wesley House cited on multiple warrants, including Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on first-degree theft charge, and possession of meth and resisting arrest; charged with trespass, Ralston Park.
July 31
9:53 a.m. – Caller reported theft of returnable cans. 2300 block Porter Street.
9:53 a.m. – Caller reported dog bite in 33800 block Ford Mill Road. Report taken. Quarantine order issued for dog, written warning for failure to license issued to owner.
11:54 a.m. – Caller reported bunny trapped between caller’s and neighbor’s fence on 12th Street and that caller’s dogs were trying to dig the bunny out. Police left message for owner, who called back and said she would retrieve the bunny.
12:54 p.m. – Stolen vehicle recovered after caller reported illegal camping in 32000 block 1st Street.
5:01 p.m. – Lori Chambers arrested for driving under the influence and reckless driving following single-vehicle accident at intersection of Highway 20 and Santiam Terrace Road. Cited and released.
10:01 p.m. – Caller reported shed in carport was broken into sometime between 7:30 p.m. and time of call. Missing was a DeWalt cordless and a DeWalt corded drill, as well as a DeWalt sawzall. Vine Street.
August 1
11:08 a.m. – Donna J. Rowland, 58, cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a criminal citation, Grant St.
5:45 p.m. – Caller complained about neighbor who plays drums throughout evening, early morning hours. Officer spoke with juvenile, who was “very respectful” and agreed not to play drums after 9 p.m. and to try to keep the noise down. Vine Street.
10:38 p.m. – Michael Eugene Spane, 39, cited and released on Marion County Circuit Court warrant for second-degree theft. Pine Street.
August 2
8:45 am. – Caller reported theft of three handguns from residence in 200 block of Sturtevant Road. Total value $1,800. Under investigation.
2:41 p.m. – Brian Christopher Stewart, 19, arrested on statewide felony warrant for failure to appear on first-degree theft charge. Transported to Linn County Jail. 200 block Sturtevant Road.
3:13 p.m. – Phillip Leon Lucas, 63, cited and released on warrants from Linn County Justice Court for failure to appear, Albany Municipal Court for contempt of court and Lebanon Municipal Court for an undisclosed warrant. 7th Street. Cited and released.
6:15 p.m. – Caller reported Dodge van broken into sometime between 2 and 6:30 p.m. in 40800 block McDowell Creek Drive. Passenger-side window broken out and caller’s purse was stolen, including her wallet, debit and credit cards, and $80 in cash. Caller was to cancel cards.
August 3
10:14 a.m. – Hali Nicole Mentzer, 26, cited on Linn County Circuit Court, Albany Municipal Court (second- and third-degree theft), Marion County Circuit Court (failure to appear on heroin possession charge) and Lebanon Municipal Court (undisclosed) warrants. Santiam Highway. Cited and released. Warned for driving while suspended and expired registration. Report taken.
1:55 p.m. – Alexander H. Burrell, 41, cited and released on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for third-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass. 2391 Primrose Road. Cited and released.
3:44 p.m. – Caller reported that tags were cut with tin snips from his license plates, leaving holes in front and back plates. He said he noticed it two days prior. Cedar Street. Caller wanted it documented.
4:40 p.m. – Deputy responded to Waterloo Campground after park ranger requested assistance with camper who failed to pay for campsite. Camper agreed to comply, pay fee.
5:54 p.m. – Caller reported daughter had sent $2,000 in gift cards to someone who said her Social Security number had been stolen. Daughter had received a phone call from a woman who told her her SSN had been stolen and there were over 20 charges to her name. The woman said this could be fixed for $2,000. Caller’s daughter was told to go to Walmart, Rite Aid and Walgreens, where she bought Google Play, Ebay and Walmart gift cards totaling $2,000. A male then told her to take photos of the back of each card and that someone would be showing up at her address with a new Social Security card. Caller’s daughter said she notified her bank of the fraudulent activity. Incident documented. Quail Street.
August 4
9:23 a.m. – Multiple mailboxes struck by hit and run driver earlier in morning. Suspect vehicle may be blue 2008 Ford Edge or Focus. Investigation ongoing.
12:19 p.m. – Gaven Percell, 30, of Portland arrested for violation of release agreement, lodged at Linn County Jail. 31200 block 1st Street.
5:23 p.m. – Nathan Adams, 25, and Tesla Metzger, 25, both of Lebanon, arrested on active warrants.
August 5
9:10 a.m. – Nicklaus J. Glasser, 30, cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant after caller reported a man yelling and banging on a building on Airport Road, and offering to fight people. Officer contacted Glasser behind behind Fastenal building and counseled him to steer clear of the caller’s building. Cited and released.
11:00 a.m. – Joseph Pedigo cited for no insurance, no valid driver’s license and failure to comply with traffic control device. Santiam Highway. Police report stated Pedigo’s Honda Accord had incorrect plate. Plates seized.
12:46 p.m. – Jeremiah Collman cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on criminal citation. Santiam Highway. Cited and released.
August 6
5:05 a.m. – Caller reported missing 3-year-old child on Jennings Street. Doors of house and back gate were locked. After search of area, officer located missing child sleeping under blankets on parents’ bed after crawling under the covers unseen.
11:55 a.m. – Aaron Michael Barger, 35, and Ashley Marie Waters, 30, cited for outstanding warrants after caller reported subjects smoking in Ralston Park gazebo. Waters cited for Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal trespass. Barger cited on Lebanon Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear, Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on possession of meth and other citations, and Lebanon Justice Court warrant for violation of probation on interfering with police officer charge.
5:47 p.m. – Jesse Davis, 25, of Sweet Home, arrested on warrant for failure to appear on driving under the influence charge out of Sweet Home Municipal Court. Davis was stopped while riding a dirt bike in 41200 block Lacomb Drive. Cited for driving while suspended, released at scene.
August 7
6:09 p.m. – Caller reported bicycle stolen from Santiam Highway location between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Lock appeared to be cut. Described as teal-colored 2019 Trek Dual Sport road bike with thin tires, black fenders. Report taken.
6:42 p.m. – Deputies investigated theft from motor vehicle. Total value of stolen items estimated at $2,625. Under investigation. Report taken. 400 block Crowfoot Road.
August 8
9:48 p.m. – Deputies responded to report of an individual with severe injuries after a homemade firework went off unexpectedly. Incident under investigation. 39800 block Griggs Drive.
August 9
9:29 a.m. – Caller reported his 4- by 8-foot Trump 2020 sign was damaged, along with his two American flags and lighting, 40700 block Lacomb Drive. Wanted information noted.
August 10
11:24 a.m. – Jared A. Weldon, 26, cited on Linn County Circuit Court warrant for fourth-degree assault. Caller had reported verbal dispute between father and son, 8th Street.
August 11
9:44 a.m. – Caller reported that man sold a trailer to buyer for $2,800. Buyer learned that it was stolen when he tried to register it. Investigation ongoing. 31900 block Berlin Road.
