Mike Martin voiced concerns about the Lebanon High School Warrior Stadium to fellow School Board members at their monthly meeting Thursday, July 13.
In the meeting, which was held via Zoom, Martin, the board’s vice chair, said many donor signs from the marquee have broken off, paint is worn and chipped on the grandstand, and cement is broken.
“It’s pretty shabby looking,” he said. “I think just paint will change a lot of it, but the marquee should be fixed, like, immediately.”
Supt. Jennifer Meckley informed the board the District is getting a new student information system.
“It’s a very large undertaking, so it will create some stress in our system,” she said. “We are live as of this week with our new system.”
New enrolling students will have to register in the new system, she said.
Meckley also said the District is working on improving its cyber security system, per the district’s insurance carrier’s instructions.
In other business, the board approved election results and swore in new board members Melissa Baurer to Zone 1 and Clyde Rood to Zone 4, and incumbent Nichole Piland to Zone 5.
Member Tom Oliver was voted in as chair and Martin was voted in as vice chair.
The board also accepted a board meeting schedule for 2023-24 and approved a resolution identifying representations and authorizations for the school year.
