State House District 17 Rep. Sherrie Sprenger is carrying 65.87 percent of the vote in the Republican primary for Linn County Commissioner Position 3 as of 8 p.m. on May 19.
With 10,214 votes, she is leading Kerry Johnson, 4,174 votes, 26.92 percent; Bill Schrader, 669 votes, 4.31 percent; and Jack W. Tacy, 403 votes, 2.6 percent.
Jami Cate of Lebanon is winning the Republican race to succeed Sprenger in House District 17 with 2,409 votes. Scott Sword is in second place with 2,123 votes, followed by Timothy L. Kirsch, 1,211; Bruce Cuff, 1,089; Susan Coleman, 833; and Dylan Richards, 800.
The winner of the Linn County Commissioner Position 3 Republican primary will face Democrat Scott Bruslind, who ran unopposed in the primary, in the November general election.
The winner of the House District 17 Republican primary will face Democrat Paige Hook, who ran unopposed in the primary, in the November general election.
For Linn County Commissioner Position 2, incumbent Roger Nyquist was unopposed in the Republican primary. The Democrats had no candidate, but the county received 1,355 write-in votes in the Democrat primary.
In House District 11, which includes part of Eugene and rural areas south of Lebanon and southwest of Sweet Home, incumbent Marty Wilde was unopposed in the Democrat primary.
In the Republican primary for District 11, Katie Boshart Glaser, 3,192 votes, was ahead of Nicole De Graff, 2,089 votes. The winner will face Wilde in the November general election.
Linn, Marion and Lane county will update the results during the night.
