Kelly Engum, 42, was sentenced Dec. 14 to 20 days jail, 24 months supervised probation and a $200 fine based on a no-contest plea to strangulation constituting domestic violence. Charges of third-degree escape and menacing were dismissed.
Richard David Holcomb Jr., 48, was charged Dec. 15 with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, attempted unlawful delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of marijuana.
On Nov. 19, Robert Paul Prettyman, 34, posted 10% of a $300,00 security. A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 15, 2023.
Randy James Scott, 57, was charged Dec. 12 with first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree theft related to allegations of a theft at Mr. Lucky’s Deli on Dec. 9. Security was set at $50,000.

1:16 p.m. – Caller reported a noninjury motor vehicle crash, 1000 block of Long St. Damage: over $2,500. Tarahmae Isabeau Meadors, 18, was cited for a dangerous left turn.
8:53 p.m. – Deputy responded to complaint of dogs barking in 28400 block Ridgeway Rd. Contacted responsible party who will address the problem.
10:54 p.m. – Chelsie Leann Baxter, 33, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license, 18th Avenue/railroad tracks.
Dec. 13
1:56 p.m. – Allen Dale Ensley, 33, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 1950 Main St.
2:47 p.m. – Caller reported a break-in in the 200 block of Main St. and said that it must have taken place over the weekend as the business at that location was closed. Report taken for second-degree burglary. Approximate loss of value: $20.
5:53 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Mountain Patrol deputy responded to stranded U.S. Forest Service employee stuck in snow in area of Upper Calapooia Dr./Old Upper Calapooia Dr. This was about 28 miles up Upper Calipooia Dr in Holley. USFS worker got stuck in the snow and needed help getting the vehicle out.
6:45 p.m. – Stephanie Bobbitt, 37, and Garrett Stevens, 44, arrested for first-degree criminal trespass. Bobbitt also had warrant. Both cited and released. According to Sheriff’s Office, neighbor reported the above mention people seen inside a vacant house. They were located and found they did not have permission to be on the property. 29100 block Santiam Hwy. Report taken.
8:25 p.m. – Steven Michael Gibson, 47, was cited and released for second-degree criminal mischief, 1600 block of Elm St.
Dec. 14
8:51 a.m. – Caller reported a disturbance between his father and sister, 3100 block of Long St. The altercation was mostly verbal. The parties were separated and the female was said to be leaving later to another caretaker. A 17-yearold female was referred to the Linn County Juvenile Department for being a minor in possession of marijuana.
1:54 p.m. – Deputy contacted male camped illegally on BLM land in 49700 block Quartzville Rd. He was directed to location where he could legally camp.
2:17 p.m. – Caller reported that someone went through her safe and took everything, 1500 block of 53rd Ave. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $13,000.
9:01 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a male driving in reverse in the wrong lane westbound on Main Street from Clark Mill Road. Devin Robbie Ward, 25, was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving, on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for driving with a suspended license and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.
10:22 p.m. – Caller reported a blue Ford colliding with his parked vehicle and leaving the area, 4100 block of Osage St. Karen Kay Davenport, 58, was cited and released for hit-and-run property damage. Also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured.

2:21 a.m. – Ember Ann McAlpin, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.
5:38 a.m. – Caller reported an unauthorized vehicle entry and the removal of its light bar, 2300 block of Harding St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Approximate loss of value: $200.
1:52 p.m. – Caller reported a runaway daughter, 3100 block of Long St. The juvenile was referred to the Linn County Juvenile Department for being a minor in possession of marijuana.
2:22 p.m. – Jamie Elizabeth Geiger, 38, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Albany Police Department.
3:22 p.m. – A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, 3100 block of Long St.
4:25 p.m. – Caller reported a vehicle crash at Pleasant Valley Road and Main St. Cameron Ray Chappell was cited for driving uninsured.
6:08 p.m. – Caller reported that a customer hit her car and left only a phone number, Speedee Mart, 1501 Main St. Report taken for a motor-vehicle crash. Value below $2,500.
7:15 p.m. – Bradley Marion Pugh, 39, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, Highway 20 west of city limits.
7:38 p.m. – Caller reported a trespassing male in the 1500 block of Main St. Report taken for second-degree criminal trespass.
8:15 p.m. – Caller reported a bank-account hack resulting in a $580 loss, 1020 block of 13th Ave. Report taken for computer crime and second-degree theft.
8:22 p.m. – Joshua Kealohanui Ben Leslie, 34, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass, 1100 block of 12th Ave.
8:57 p.m. – Multiple callers reported a possibly intoxicated female who hit a drive-through pole with her vehicle and did not stop, 2000 block of Main St. Kristi Rae Grimm, 32, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit-and-run property, and resisting arrest.

7:12 a.m. – Juvenile taken to detention center for probation violation, 39900 block Hwy. 228. Report taken.
2:35 p.m. – Vehicle locked behind timber gate in area of Wiley Creek Dr./Cedar Creek Rd. Deputy responded and explained the process of accessing the Cascade Timber Consulting access map. Driver given warning.
2:42 p.m. – Caller reported a crash in the 1200 block of 37th Ave. Report taken for motor-vehicle crash. The injury damage was estimated to be more than $2,500. One unidentified driver was transported to hospital by medics.
Dec. 17
4:25 p.m. – Caller reported being kicked out of a residence and another tenant refusing to return her belongings, 1100 block of 38th Ave. Report taken for seconddegree theft. Approximate value: $425.
7:59 p.m. – Caller reported a male damaged her vehicle’s tires, rendering her unable to leave a residence, 1300 block of 45th Ave. Report taken. Approximate value: $500.
9:32 p.m. – Deputy checked on driver whose vehicle was proceeding “strangely” in 40900 block Hwy. 228 and pulled over “suddenly,” according to Sheriff’s log. Turned out driver was lost.
11:51 p.m. – Single-vehicle non-injury crash reported at intersection of Liberty/Mountain Home roads. According to Sheriff’s Office, 2020 Kia Soul driven by Sadie Gordon, 26, of Sweet Home, failed to stop at a stop sign and slid into the ditch across the intersection. Car was towed out of the ditch the following day. Report taken.
Dec. 18
1:04 a.m. – Rafael Ramos, 20, of Sweet Home, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, reckless endangering and interfering with making a report after deputies responded to disturbance involving a moving vehicle in area of Hwy. 228/Brush Creek Rd. According to Sheriff’s Office, Ramos was intoxicated and jumped out of the car, “making suicidal statements.” Ramos damaged the windshield of the car during the event and was subsequently arrested, according to LCSO. Report taken.
4:55 a.m. – The Junction City Police Department forwarded a report for fraudulent use of a credit card. Charges occurred at the Woods Roadhouse and Foster Lake Market.
9:24 a.m. – Caller reported criminal mischief after unknown suspect struck caller’s mailbox 41900 block North River Dr. Hit and run. Report taken.
10:07 a.m. – Kristen Nicole Sim, 36, was in custody for aggravated first-degree theft, computer crime, and fraudulent use of a credit card, 500 block of Main St.
12:01 p.m. – Multiple callers reported an erratic vehicle speeding with a possibly intoxicated driver, traveling eastbound on Hwy. 20 at milepost 18. Joshua James Sikorski, 36, was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
2:14 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen air conditioner, 760 block of Mountain View Road. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value: $300.
3:15 p.m. – Bryce Taylor Keenon, 26, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree assault, 42nd Ave./Osage St.
4:38 p.m. – Caller reported a truck break-in that resulted in the theft of a compound bow with its case, 1300 block of Fern Lane. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft. Approximate value: $1,000.
5:20 p.m. – Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital reported a patient shot in the stomach in the Sweet Home area. Officer responded and learned that the injury was caused by a pellet gun. Information noted. Investigation continuing.
