Aug. 15

2:26 a.m. – Caller reported that a male had stolen some power tools from a service box in the bed of his truck, 1900 block of 37th Circle. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft. Approximate value: $1,500.

3:00 a.m. – Daniel Raymond Nofziger, 39, was arrested for second-degree criminal trespass. Also arrested on a Linn County statewide felony warrant for failure to appear on an original charge, a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, an Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of criminal trespass, 18th Ave./Tamarack St.

8:14 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle break-in the previous evening, 1300 block of Clark Mill Road. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft.

9:45 a.m. – Caller reported that her vehicle had been struck the previous evening. However, when she called the phone number left on her car, her contact claimed to know nothing about the incident, 1300 block of Hawthorne St. Report taken. Approximate cost of damage: $300.

9:55 a.m. – Charas Lelainia Blanco, 49, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of contempt of court and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt, Pleasant Valley Boat Ramp.

10:31 a.m. – Caller reported finding bones in the 45900 block of Hwy. 20. They were determined to be those of an animal.

11:44 a.m. – Caller reported finding multiple pieces of clothing with dried blood on them in the 1000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Deputy seized items and lodged them in evidence. Further details unavailable. Report taken.

11:52 a.m. – Robert Lee Edblom, 32, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, Corvallis Police Department.

12:11 p.m. – Jose Ibarra, 36, of Lebanon, was cited for multiple traffic violations, Hwy. 20/Dew Road.

1:05 p.m. – Caller reported the loss of more than $5,000 from his account, 10th Ave. Key Bank. Report taken. The fraud department has been notified, and accounts have been safe-guarded.

5:40 p.m. – Patrick James Mallory, 29, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Lebanon Police Department.

6:17 p.m. – Caller reported that his gun was stolen from his home, 800 block of 29th Ave. Caller stated he has been unable to locate his firearm since Aug. 11. Value of $500.

7:42 p.m. – A non-injury crash was reported at Foster Dam Road/North River Drive. Further details unavailable.

8:02 p.m. – Vincent Lee Holt Jr., 51, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon Police Department.

Aug. 16

7:34 a.m. – Caller reports a vehicle break-in and gun theft, 200 block of Osage St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft. Value: $724.

8:42 a.m. – Caller reported a propane tank was stolen from Tacos Locos, 225 Main St.

11:20 a.m. – Caller reported a vandalized building, 1100 block of Long St. Report taken. Approximate damage: $80.

2:46 p.m. – Andrew Jacob Juston Cartwright, 35, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

4:54 p.m. – Caller reported possible overweight trucks crossing a small bridge in the 41200 block of McDowell Creek Drive. Sheriff’s Office to provide extra patrol when possible.

Aug. 17

8:04 a.m. – Deputy investigating a littering complaint in the 44600 block of Old Hufford Drive found a letter to a female with Sweet Home address. Attempted contact, but no one was home at time. Investigation continuing. Report taken.

1:34 p.m. – Caller reported that a male told her to call the police because he was being assaulted, 900 block of Long St. Shawn Augustine, 51, was cited and released for third-degree criminal mischief.

4:10 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office contacted a mother who requested a welfare check on her adult daughter, with whom she had no contact for months. LCSO had recently had contact and supplied that information to the mother, who was satisfied.

4:18 p.m. – Stranded floaters were given a courtesy ride by the Sheriff’s Office, 40800 block of McDowell Creek Drive.

4:41 p.m. – Stranded floaters provided a courtesy ride by the Sheriff’s Office, 30200 block of Bates Lane.

5:12 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Quartzville Road between Hwy. 20 and milepost 25 encountered a group swimming on Campbell Global private timber property and told them to move along. They advised they had seen a “No Camping” sign, but thought day use was OK.

5:38 p.m. – David Justin Laylon, 52, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree burglary, 1950 Main St.

8:14 p.m. – Macayla Marie Jimenez, 26, was arrested for failure to comply on an original charge of theft by receiving, Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

8:46 p.m. – Douglas Martin Powers, 44, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license misdemeanor, Deschutes County.

Aug. 18

3:44 a.m. – Dispatcher heard someone pounding on the back door of a building, 1950 Main St. Officer located a female, who had crawled under the gate. Roseann Marie Wirth, 37, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass.

5:22 a.m. – Bryce Taylor Keenon, 25, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, 1400 block of 42nd Ave.

12:13 p.m. – Caller reported a bike theft the previous evening from Safeway, 1540 Main St.

12:46 p.m. – A single-vehicle non-injury crash was reported in the 46400 block of Quartzville Road. According to Sheriff’s Office, operator of truck pulling a boat fell asleep at the wheel and drifted off the roadway. Non-injury crash. Sheriff’s Office did not release name. Report taken.

3:11 p.m. – Roseann Marie Wirth, 37, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest, Main Street Market, 1810 Main St.

3:11 p.m. – Caller reported a female who had previously stolen from Main Street Market had returned, 1810 Main St. Roseann Marie Wirth, 37, was cited and released for third-degree theft.

6:01 p.m. – Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a non-injury crash in the 1600 block of Long St. Report taken. Damage: more than $2,500.

Aug. 19

12:03 a.m. – Todd Buddy James Waterman, 39, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

2:44 a.m. – Andrew Edwin Amundson, 33, was cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for first-degree criminal mischief and a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for second-degree trespass, 11th Ave./Elm St.

12:41 p.m. – Caller reported a non-injury motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of Thriftway, 621 Main St. Report taken. Damage: over $2,500 on both vehicles. Tony William Fitzwater, 55, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of harassment.

1:20 p.m. – Deputy responded to Sunnyside Park at request of park staff, who wanted to trespass a group of juveniles for discharging a CO2-propelled projectile (Orbeez gel) from their vehicle in the park. This had occurred on previous occasions and park staff had been struck. No incidents occurred on this particular date, but juveniles had been identified from previous incidents and were trespassed. Parents of four, who were under 18, were notified. The fifth was over 18.

8:07 p.m. – Caller reported a bike on a walking path in the 6100 block of Hwy. 20, with no one around. Deputy responded and, shortly after, so did the bike’s owner.

8:20 p.m. – Vehicle eluded a deputy who was trying to make a traffic stop. Vehicle later located, unoccupied. Suspect identified. Investigation ongoing. 1000 block of 12th Ave. Report taken.

9:16 p.m. – Caller reported that $1,700 was stolen from his unlocked vehicle near the intersection of North River Drive/Quartzville Road. Report taken.

9:23 p.m. – Conner James Hagle, 15, was cited for no driver’s license and driving uninsured, 1600 block of Dogwood St.

9:27 p.m. – Deputy contacted a group illegally camped near milepost 19 on Quartzville Road. They were advised to vacate the site.

9:30 p.m. – Deputy came upon an unoccupied illegal camp near milepost 22 on Quartzville Road. Site was posted.

10:24 p.m. – Caller reported that a vehicle struck hers and left the area, 6200 block of Main St. Property damage: below $2,500. Unable to locate the suspected vehicle, which was reported to be a red Ford F-150 with crew cab, a matching canopy and a boat trailer minus the boat.

11:28 p.m. – Harold Brown, 58, of Myrtle Point, was cited on warrants, 4800 block of Hwy. 20. Report taken.

Aug. 20

9:28 a.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren, 42, was cited and released for failure to appear on an original charge of second degree trespass, 1100 block of 12th Ave.

10:48 a.m. – Michael Eric Nickell, 34, of Sweet Home, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and menacing. Lodged at Linn County Jail. 1000 block of Red Baron Lane. Report taken.

1:05 p.m. – Manager reports damage to a building in the 1980 block of Main St. Report taken. Approximate value: $500.

4:02 p.m. – Multiple vehicles illegally parked in “boat trailer parking only” spaces at Calkins Boat Ramp were cited by a deputy.

4:51 p.m. – Criminal mischief reported at Clear Lake Lodge, 60700 block of Hwy. 126. Suspect cut a fuel nozzle to a tank while trying to steal gasoline. Damage: about $20. Under investigation. Report taken.

5:04 p.m. – Caller found a needle with what appeared to be heroin, Shea Point. It was properly disposed of in a sharp container.

5:05 p.m. – Linda E. Kennedy, 32, of Harrisburg, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Linn County Circuit Court, following alleged trespass on Cascade Timber Consulting property, 6000 block of Hwy. 20. Cited and released. Report taken.

7:29 p.m. – Caller reported that someone had stolen and used her debit card, 4800 block of Main St. Report taken.

7:34 p.m. – Derrek Leo Reynolds, 53, was cited and released for fraudulent use of credit card, 1300 block of 13th Ave.

7:44 p.m. – Natasha Funk, 43, of Lebanon, was cited on warrants following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 60th Ave. Report taken.

8:00 p.m. – Natasha Sue Funk, 43, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

8:11 p.m. – Teresa Lynn Reed, 53, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft, Jackson County.

9:47 p.m. – Caller reported a wallet theft and unauthorized debit-card use in the 2400 block of Main St. Report taken for fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft.

11:38 p.m. – Caller reported that her 16-year-old son was getting intoxicated with an adult male, 1200 block of Long St. Male admitted to being with juveniles who were drinking in his vehicle. Austin Lee, 19, was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The 16-year-old was referred to the juvenile department.

Aug. 21

7:34 a.m. – Deputy responded to a missing person call in the 26300 block of Old Holley Road. Sheriff’s Office then learned that the man wasn’t missing, but hospitalized. Family advised of the situation.

12:45 a.m. – Caller reported a shed break-in and lawnmower theft, 1300 block of 44th Ave. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Value: $200.

2:43 p.m. – Caller reported that a female cut her vacuum cord, 960 block of 14th Ave. Report taken for third-degree criminal mischief. Investigation continuing.

7:35 p.m. – Hit-and-run reported in 43700 block of North River Drive. Boat trailer was damaged in parking lot of Gedney Creek Boat Ramp. Further details not available. Report taken.

9:11 p.m. – Caller reported that a man ran into a house and locked the caller out, 1300 block of Sunset Lane. Caller was able to gain access and get the male out. Kelly John Allen, 45, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass.

COURT

Stephen Jay Fletcher, 46, was charged Aug. 12 with reckless driving, fourth-degree assault and failure to perform the duties of a driver to injured persons, which is a Class C felony.

According to court documents, Fletcher allegedly recklessly drove a car, resulting in a crash that caused injury to another driver, and failed to stop or remain at the scene to assist.

Isaac Booker Justham, 23, was charged Aug. 15 with second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.

William James Mott II, 55, was ordered to the diversion program on Aug. 17 for a DUII charge with a blood-alcohol content of .20%.

Timothy Wade Shockey, 41, posted 10% of a $200,000 bail on Aug. 18.

He was charged July 19 with driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, second-degree assault and first-degree animal abuse after a July 15 crash along Highway 20 near Sweet Home that seriously injured his young passenger and killed a dog.
