Sweet Home police and courts, Oct. 10-16, 2022

Circuit Court

Warrants are out on the following individuals: Samuel Frank Ayers, Andrew James Freitag, Aaron Thomas Halvorson, Noe Hernandez-Reyes, Faron Walter Kennedy, Taylor Robert Mespelt, Carrie Lynne Miller, Kendra Lynne Montoya, Julianne Nicole Phillips, Tammy Lavonn Robinson, Paula Marie Lea Skyles-Lutzi, Zachary Shane Stegner.

Jedediah Trevor Childress, 41, was charged Oct. 11 with strangulation constituting domestic violence and harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.

Kevin Austin Corrington, 24, was sentenced Oct. 14 to 20 days in jail, suspension of a driver’s license for three years, bench probation for 24 months and $2,255 in fines based on a no contest plea to DUII with a .15% BAC. A charge of reckless driving was dismissed.

6:46 a.m. – Caller reports dispute over child taking money, 395 Holley Rd. According to Sheriff’s log, female came at him so he threw coffee on her. Jedediah Trevor Childress, 42, arrested for domestic violence strangulation.

9:57 a.m. – William Joseph Teeple, 57, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft, 1950 Main St.

4:32 p.m. – Caller reported a registration sticker stolen from a vehicle, 1800 block of Vine St.

5:48 p.m. – Cathy Ann Smith, 48, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, Oregon State Police.

6:49 p.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren, 42, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft. Cited and released on a Linn County Justice Court warrant for providing false information to a police officer, 1100 block of 12th Ave.

8:52 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office investigated theft of special forest product, fir boughs, from Cascade Timber Consulting property in 27000 block Latiwi Creek Rd. USFS law enforcement contacted subject, issued citations. Suspect’s name not available.

Oct. 11

3:43 a.m. – Jerhami Homenyk, 44, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass X2, Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

7:30 a.m. – Deputy responded to ongoing property line dispute between neighbors in 43100 block North River Dr. Deputy tried to respond to questions, but was asked to leave before issue was resolved.

7:49 a.m. – Caller reported someone had burned a toilet-paper roll in a bathroom, 800 block of 14th Ave. Report taken for reckless burning.

9:33 a.m. – Cell phone found on beach at Foster Reservoir. Deputy attempted to contact owner at his residence, but there was no answer. Phone lodged at Linn County Sheriff’s Office for safekeeping. Report taken.

12:01 p.m. – Caller reported that a female had taken his phone and changed his online passwords, 4000 block of Osage St. Report taken for second-degree theft.

4:01 p.m. – Caller reported a gas cap stolen from a vehicle, 1000 block of Long St. Report taken for third-degree theft.

4:30 p.m. – Caller reports male is at location, refusing to leave and is cornering her boss, Steelhead Fitness, 1295 Main St. Jerrad Jackson Henke, 40, arrested for second degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

4:48 p.m. – Caller believed someone was inside a residence in the 4400 block of Ninebark Loop. Caller saw a dirty mirror and a bag of cans, and also smelled fresh cigarette smoke. Alexis Morgan Bowers, 22, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespass and on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft.

6:23 p.m. – Heather Mae Kelly, 43, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft X2 and failure to appear on an original charge of harassment, Lebanon Police Department.

7:21 p.m. – Black and white terrier mix female dog, older, found in area of Berlin/Old Berlin roads. Housed at Linn County Animal Contro

9:13 p.m. – Christian Leigh Atkins, 49, was cited for driving without a driver’s license, Ironwood St./12th Ave.

Oct. 12

5:33 a.m. – Caller reported a suspicious person sleeping between buildings in the 1000 block of Main St. Matthew Carl Martin, 32, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree theft and failure to appear on original charges of resisting arrest and second-degree criminal trespass. Arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for a probation violation, and an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for a parole violation.

9:04 a.m. – Caller reported a firearm stolen from an unlocked vehicle, 800 block of Oak Terrace. Report taken for first-degree theft and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

1:44 p.m. – Sara Kay King was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft of services, Department of Corrections.

1:48 p.m. – Vincent Lee Holt Jr., 51, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of theft of services, Lebanon Police Department.

2:06 p.m. – Caller reported mother’s phone stolen the previous day, 1000 block of 43rd Ave. Report taken for first-degree theft. Approximate loss of value: $1,100.

2:50 p.m. – Caller reported a stereo theft, 4100 block of Osage St. Report taken.

3:19 p.m. – Caller reported a phone theft sometime in the previous three days, Sweet Home area. Report taken.

5:08 p.m. – Leslee Huerta-Fernandez, 36, was cited for dog as a public nuisance, 1800 block of Kalmia St.

6:04 p.m. – Caller reported someone leaving without paying for propane, Hoy’s Hardware, Inc., 3041 Main St. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $22.

6:39 p.m. – Tyler Jackson Horner, 33, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

7:11 p.m. – Caller reported a customer attempting to walk out on a taxi fare. 600 block of Main St. Colin Erik Crabtree, 23, was cited and released for theft of services.

7:52 p.m. – Burglary reported in 39600 block Crawfordsville Dr. Wallet stolen. Under investigation. Report taken.

9:42 p.m. – David Johnson, 27, of Sweet Home, cited and released for DUII, reckless driving, after single-vehicle crash in 26100 block Old Holley Rd. Report taken.

Oct. 13

12:04 a.m. – Parker Stephens-Tiley, 22, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 90/55, Osage St./Sunset Lane.

12:14 a.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth III, 41, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal mischief, 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St.

7:45 a.m. – Criminal mischief reported in 43700 block North River Dr. Sixteen-inch diameter tree was cut down with ax, falling across pullout and county road. County Road Department responded, cleared the tree. Report taken.

8:47 a.m. – Caller reported a male and female camping in a wooded area, 42nd Ave./Osage St.. Officer responded, contacted them and advised them to move along. Timothy Loren Ames Jr., 33, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to comply on an original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft, reckless burning, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle X2, first-degree criminal trespass X2 and second-degree disorderly conduct.

9:35 a.m. – Caller reported someone had drawn on a building with markers and left a threatening note, 4200 block of Osage St. Report taken.

9:47 a.m. – Deputy conducted welfare check on two horses in 42600 block Ames Creek Rd. No crimes at this time.

2:24 p.m. – Jacob Todd Newberg was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

11:35 p.m. – Elizabeth Lynn Riddle, 24, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Albany Police Department.

11:35 p.m. – David Arroyo-Sandoval, 42, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of harassment, Lebanon Police Department.

Oct. 14

12:21 p.m. – Deputy checked Lava Lake Snow Park, where setup for Old Cascadia trail races scheduled for following day in area (50 and 20 miles). 60500 block Hwy. 20.

1:16 p.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 59, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Albany Police Department.

7:04 p.m – Jay Narruhn, 30, was cited for driving without a license, 1300 block of 9th Ave.

7:32 p.m. – Caller reported an incident of vandalism, 900 block of Long St. Report taken for second-degree theft.

7:47 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen backpack, 13th Ave./Kalmia St. Approximate loss of value: $35.

Oct. 15

10:45 a.m. – Caller reported gas theft, 4300 block of Main St. Officer responded; no gas was stolen. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

11:17 a.m. – Caller reported being pushed by a male, 4800 block of Main St. Colton Robert Michael Rictor, 21, was arrested for harassment. Cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft and failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass. Arrested on Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on an original charge X2 and a Linn County Justice Court warrant for theft.

12:25 p.m. – Drenda Lorraine Thompson was cited for driving uninsured, Chevron.

2:35 p.m. – Global Campbell reported to deputy that people had been hunting on their closed property in Quartzville/Trout Creek area. Deputy patrolled Quartzville Road and Trout Creek Road, talked with two groups in the area that had not started hunting. Warned of closed property.

3:28 p.m. – Caller reported a home break-in, 2500 block of Kalmia St. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.

5:59 p.m. – Caller reported gunshot in 38400 block Glass St. Deputy was told a Bic lighter had been tossed into a fire, which produced an explosion.

6:57 p.m. – Cougar sighting reported at McDowell Creek Park. 43100 block McDowell Creek Dr.

8:07 p.m. – Michelle Carpenter, 52, was cited for driving with a suspended license, 3200 block of Main St.

8:10 p.m. – Robert Neal, 72, of Sweet Home, arrested on outstanding warrants, 40100 block Hwy. 228. Report taken.

10:18 p.m. – Christopher John Edgar, 33, was cited and released on a Lebanon Justice Court warrant for second-degree criminal trespass and an Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, northside Pleasant Valley Bridge.

Oct. 16

10:57 a.m. – Child’s BMX bike reported stolen from campsite at River Bend Park over weekend. Described as Haro BMX, black in color with 20-inch redline tires with red stripe.

Valued at $400. 45900 block Hwy. 20.

11:03 a.m. – Alexander Landon Bailess, 24, was cited for speeding 60/35, 4000 block of Main St.

4:11 p.m. – Caller reported that someone had used a fake $100 bill, 1200 block of Long St. Report taken.

5:36 p.m. – William David Sal-yers, 19, was cited and released for reckless burning X2. Warren Eric Duncan, 35, was cited and released for reckless burning X2, 1100 block of 12th Ave.

7:04 p.m. – Caller reported that her husband’s ex-wife was refusing to hand over two daughters at pickup because “they are old enough to decide if they want to go or not,” 700 block of 7th Ave. Report taken for contempt of court and second-degree custodial interference.
