10:04 a.m. – Caller reported someone possibly inside her house, 900 block of 6th Ave. According to the caller, her front-window screen was off and appeared to have been shot. Report taken for seconddegree burglary. Estimated value: $250.
1:44 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of money from a self-checkout machine, Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken for third-degree theft. Value: $20.
3:19 p.m. – John Martin Chelstad, 56, was cited for dog as a public nuisance, Sweet Home Police Department.
4:52 p.m. – Caller reported keys stolen from a vehicle, 5500 block of Nandina St. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree theft.
10:36 p.m. – Caller reported that a female had stolen multiple items from the Dollar Tree, 2414 Main St. Report taken for third-degree theft. Total value unknown.
Dec. 20
1:30 a.m. – Caller reported a male taking two cases of beer, 2400 block of Main St. Report taken for third-degree robbery and third-degree theft. Total value: $45.38.
2:46 p.m. – Deputy patrolling Quartzville Road discovered a “large quantity of jagged rock” in the middle of the road, causing road hazard in the 44700 block. Deputies were able to roll the rocks off the road.
4:55 p.m. – Caller reported a crash “hours after it happened,” per Sheriff’s log. Marks Ridge Drive/Ridgeway Road.
6:11 p.m. – Thomas Junior McCarthey, 59, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving with a suspended license, 6200 block of Main St.
Dec. 21
10:29 a.m. – Caller reported a vehicle stolen from a hiking trail parking lot in the 52800 block of Hwy. 20, Cascadia. Described as white with black rims, 2016 Ford Explorer, parked at Rooster Rock Trailhead for five days while owner was camping. Report taken.
1:35 p.m. – Caller reported fraudulent charges on her account, 1300 block of Quince St. Report taken for identity theft and first-degree theft.
5:50 p.m. – Caller reported that a male struck a pole with his vehicle and left, leaking and leaving a trail away from the scene, 3200 block of Main St. Mikel Vincent Lizama, 43, was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit-and-run property damage, failure to register as a sex offender and on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of contempt. Also cited for driving with a suspended license.
11:01 p.m. – Caller reported vehicles stuck on icy roads, Pleasant Valley/Northside Dr.
11:52 p.m. – Aaron Looney, 31, of Albany, arrested for driving under the influence, reckless endangering, after single-vehicle injury crash in 42300 block Marks Ridge Dr. Report taken.
Dec. 22
9:46 a.m. – Nina Lee Patrick, 54, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of third-degree theft, 1950 Main St.
10:54 a.m. – Deputy patrolling snow parks on Highways 20 and 22 reported “very little use” due to low temperatures, ranging from 2 to 17 degrees.
11:13 a.m. – Caller reported his motorhome was damaged and entered in the 40300 block Crawfordsville Dr. No items reported stolen. Report taken.
12:57 p.m. – Caller reported two previously trespassed males had returned to a location in the 1200 block of Long St. The caller wanted them charged. An officer was unable to locate them. A report was taken for second-degree criminal trespass.
2:25 p.m. – Joshua Leslie, 34, was cited and released for seconddegree criminal trespass, 1100 block of 12th Ave.
9:03 p.m. – Issac Booker Justham, 23, was cited and released on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, an
Albany Municipal Court warrant for third-degree theft, and Linn County Circuit Court warrants for burglary/theft/failure to appear on a criminal citation, second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass, 1100 block of Main St. Also cited for driving with a suspended license.
9:44 p.m. – Caller reported a light bar removed from a vehicle, 4800 block of 48th Loop. Report taken. Approximate loss of value: $100.
Dec. 23
7:47 a.m. – Both callers reported a vehicle clearing a median and striking a statue, Mountain View Road/Long St. Issac Justham, 23, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
12:43 p.m. – Caller reported drug residue inside bathrooms, 800 block of 14th Ave. Property seized for destruction.
9:03 a.m. – Deputy located a stranded motorist in a green Dodge pickup in a ditch in the 28000 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Driver uninjured, no damage. Awaiting tow.
9:12 a.m. – Deputy encountered a vehicle in a ditch. Driver uninjured, no property damage. Awaiting tow.
9:41 a.m. – Vehicle located partially blocking Old Holley Road near Alder Street after spinning out on ice. No injuries or property damage. Tow company removed vehicle.
10:49 a.m. – Deputy located abandoned vehicle in a ditch in the 26700 block of Old Holley Road. No sign of injuries, no visible damage.
6:02 p.m. – Caller reported a theft of tires, 1200 block of 4th Ave. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value: $350.
6:39 p.m. – Caller reported a male breaking wooden pallets and trespassing, 1500 block of Main St.
Dustin Andrew Clarneau, 48, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal mischief, and was also arrested on a parole violation warrant for sexual assault, a Linn County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear on a second-degree original charge, an Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree criminal trespass, and a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a citation for unauthorized departure.
10:21 p.m. – Caller reported being attacked by a male, The Woods Roadhouse, 6099 Main St. Report taken for harassment.
Dec. 24
2:03 a.m. – Caller reported being hit in the face several times by a female, 4600 block of Kalmia St. It was unknown if the female in question was currently at the location, as residents had conflicting stories. Report taken for fourth-degree assault.
5:43 a.m. – Caller reported smashed food and possible building entry, Sugar Vibes, 1019 Main St. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.
9:15 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen motor in the 40600 block of Upper Calapooia Drive. Caller noticed Kohler gas motor had been taken from a portable sawmill. Unknown when it occurred. Value $500. Report taken.
10:13 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen Polaris and 12-foot flatbed trailer, 29200 block of Pleasant Valley Road. A John Deere Gator had been stolen out of the Tangent area. Appeared to be hidden at the location it was found. Report taken.
10:27 a.m. – Caller reported a broken back door, 1200 block of Main St. Report taken for first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft.
10:48 a.m. – Nicholas Scot Warren, 42, was cited and released on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree theft and criminal trespass, and on a Linn County Justice warrant for providing false information to a police officer, 1300 block of Main St.
12:48 p.m. – Darin Douglas Hill was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court, 3200 block of Main St.
3:40 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had warned him to empty his pockets or risk injury, 1600 block of Main St. The male in question stole the caller’s phone and money. Report taken for third-degree robbery and first-degree theft.
Dec. 25
1:59 a.m. – Jamie Daniel Carpenter, 46, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
8:17 a.m. – Caller reported a smashed front door, Towne Pump, 890 Main St. Report taken for first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree theft.
10:16 a.m. – Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 46600 block of Old Hufford Drive. It was determined that the vehicle belonged to a person living at the end of the road in an RV.
12:23 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen phone, 1000 block of Main St. Report taken for second-degree theft.
1:10 p.m. – Caller reported that a male had broken into his house, 1000 block of 13th Ave. Report taken for rst-degree burglary, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.
5:42 p.m. – Ervin Larry Smith was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 2200 block of Long St.
8:25 p.m. – Caller reported a customer pulling a knife on another, followed by a fight in the parking lot, 7-Eleven, 2405 Main St. Another caller reported a male screaming in the store and at her significant other, then punching her truck. One of the male’s friends reportedly arrived with a machete. Report taken.

1:29 a.m. – Shaine Alan Tyree, 20, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, north Pleasant Valley Bridge.
6:30 a.m. – Caller reported a break-in and theft of items, Sugar City Brews, 501 Main St. Report taken for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.
