Circuit Court
Warrants are out on the following individuals: Samuel Frank Ayers, Curtis Ray Daniel, Joshua Scott Dawson, Ashlee Dee Flanagan, Aaron Thomas Halvorson, Issac Booker Justham, Noe Hernandez-Reyes, Michael Trevor Hilton, Faron Walter Kennedy, Taylor Robert Mespelt, Carrie Lynne Miller, Kendra Lynne Montoya, Larry Robert Morgan, Michael Allen Perry Jr., Julianne Nicole Phillips, Joseph Clayton Pritchett, Christopher Thomas Reed, Tammy Lavonn Robinson, Steven Edward Robinson, Paula Marie Lea Skyles-Lutzi and Zachary Shane Stegner.
Chase William Barnes, 23, was charged March 20 with third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Steven Dale Bergevin, 34, was charged March 8 with second-degree burglary and first-degree theft.
Graydon Daniel Chapman, 18, was charged March 3 with third-degree rape.
Aaron Bryce Clemmer, 43, was charged March 15 with felon in possession of a firearm.
The court approved the state’s motion to dismiss with prejudice charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence against Noah David Colgrove, 29, on March 22.
Tyler Wade Fincher, 24, was sentenced March 3 to 24 months bench probation, six days jail and a $100 fine based on a plea of no contest to fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence.
Rhonda Lucille Hodge, 54, was placed in the DUII diversion program March 15 following no-contest plea to DUII with a .12% BAC.
James J. Jones, 40, was sentenced March 13 to five days jail, 24 months supervised probation and a $100 fine based on a plea of no contest to fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence. Charges of strangulation and recklessly endangering another person were dismissed.
Kevin Christopher Lahoda, 24, was charged March 17 with third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Justin James Patton, 24, was charged March 8 with second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The court allowed the State’s motion to dismiss without prejudice on March 24.
Derrek Leo Reynolds, 54, was charged March 23 with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. Bail was set at $250,000. Court documents indicate the defendant allegedly tried to murder Brian Clay Thompson and, in doing so, caused serious physical injury to him.
Corey Alan Smith, 58, was sentenced March 8 to 18 months bench probation, 15 days jail and $300 in fines based on a plea of no contest to failure to report as a sex offender, second-degree failure to appear and giving false information in connection with a citation/warrant.
Leanna Kaylynn Smith, 36, was charged March 22 with interfering with a peace officer, resisting arrest and assaulting a public safety officer (a felony). Bail was set at $25,000.
Jake James Sorrell, 26, was sentenced March 22 to 10 days jail and 18 months supervised probation based on a plea of no contest to second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.
Richard Gene Stephens, 52, was charged March 17 with felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of first-degree aggravated animal abuse for allegedly “intentionally and maliciously killing” a heeler and pitbull dog. Bail was set at $50,000.
Zachary Shane Stegner, 37, was charged March 7 with driving uninsured, failure to renew registration, driving while suspended and two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer (a felony).
Clifford Lawrence Stoner Jr., 50, was charged on Feb. 27 with resisting arrest; bail was set at $1,000.
He had been placed in the DUII diversion program in 2018 for a .22% BAC, but the court was notified Stoner did not complete the program.
Thus, the diversion program was terminated and he was sentenced to jail, probation and fines. He violated his probation terms and, on March 22, 2023, the court extended his probation terms until Feb. 2025 and sentenced him to jail for 10 days concurrent with related cases in this report.
He was charged in 2020 with DUII and related charges that resulted in injury to another person, and he violated his probation terms in this case. On March 22, 2023, he was sentenced to jail for 10 days concurrent with related cases in this report.
Multiple warrants were issued throughout the past few years related to these cases and on Feb. 25, 2023, Stoner resisted arrest. He was sentenced March 22, 2023, to 30 days jail and a $100 fine based on a no contest plea.
Jacob Mitchell Thurber, 31, was charged March 16 with failure to report as a sex offender. Bail was set at $15,000. In a separate case, he was charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree theft. Bail was set at $15,000.
Heather Charmaine Tressel, 37, was charged March 6 with DUII.

8:07 a.m. – Caller reported a stolen gas can, 2300 block of Harding St. Approximate value: $26.
9:43 a.m. – Benjamin Phillip Hyatt, 44, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
9:57 a.m. – James Jonathan Scott Georgelis, 40, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver when property is damaged, Lebanon Police Department.
11:23 a.m. – Deputy performed welfare check on horse in 27000 block Rowell Hill Dr. No crimes.
11:23 a.m. – Caller reported boat hull dumped on shoulder of road in 45300 block Sunnyside Rd., in close proximity to Cascade Timber Consulting gate. Property the boat is on belongs to another owner. Sheriff’s Office attempting to contact them to notify of illegal dumping.
12:38 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen construction sign, 45th Ave./Main St.
12:44 p.m. – Issac Booker Justham, 23, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of third-degree theft, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
2:23 p.m. – Caller reported that a motorcyclist passed on a blind corner then passed three other vehicles on the right hand side, 4400 block of Main St. westbound. Officer located the motorcycle and attempted a traffic stop. The motorcycle fled at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic. Report taken for reckless driving.
3:23 p.m. – Caller reported that his ex-wife used a company credit card, 5200 block of Main St. Loss of value: $11,559.85.
4:17 p.m. – Timothy Loren Ames Jr., 33, was arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to comply on an original charge of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and failure to appear on original charges of third degree theft, reckless burning, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle X2, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct, Lebanon Police Department.
6:41 p.m. – Dalton Rhys Orr, 26, was cited for driving uninsured and following too close, Hoy’s Hardware, 3041 Main St.
9:31 p.m. – Jimmy Varner, 56, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, 1300 block of 40th Ave.
10:50 p.m. – Wade Felton Lloyd, 59, was arrested for criminal driving and on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of criminal driving, 2000 block of Main St. Also cited for driving uninsured.
11:12 p.m. – Robbery reported in 38400 block Glass St., Crawfordsville. Report taken.
March 21
12:38 a.m. – Deputies found two vehicles obstructing roadway in 26000 block 2nd St., Crawfordsville. They were towed as hazard.
7:29 a.m. – Caller reported stolen construction sign, 12th Ave./Nandina St.
12:05 p.m. – William Henry King Jr., 44, was cited for no driver’s license, Tamarack Ridge Estates.
1:27 p.m. – Kaitlyn Rae Carpenter, 24, was cited and released on multiple Linn County Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear on original charges of possession of meth, possession of buprenorphine and failure to appear on a criminal citation charge. Also cited and released on Albany Municipal Court warrant for second-degree theft, Sankey Park.
3:11 p.m. – Caller reported a cut lock and stolen bike, 980 block of Long St. Report taken for second-degree theft. Approximate value: $500.
3:19 p.m. – Caller reported “a lot of issues with stealing” and criminal mischief in neighborhood of 38400 block Hwy. 228. He came out to find the window broken on his truck canopy, which he believed would cost $400 to $500 to replace. Asked for extra patrols for traffic complaints as well.
7:13 p.m. – Mikeal Gerald Patrick Strawn, 27, was cited and released for criminal driving, 2400 block of Main St.
9:26 p.m. – Daniel Lee Adams, 63, was cited for driving with a suspended license, 1200 block of 43rd Ave.
10:51 p.m. – Justin Lee Matteson, 43, was cited and released for criminal driving and on a Clackamas County Circuit Court warrant for criminal driving, a Hood River Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge, and a Multnomah Circuit Court warrant for criminal driving, Main St./60th Ave.
March 22
1:51 a.m. – Caller reported that a male had punched him earlier in the evening, 1500 block of Tamarack St. Report taken for fourth-degree assault.
2:16 a.m. – Jacob Reginald Bliss, 47, was cited for driving with a suspended license, Hilltop Market, 4824 Hwy. 20.
12:09 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office completed civil service lockout at vacant home in 900 block 6th Ave., at intersection with Juniper St. No one located in residence.
12:22 p.m. – Kaden Rodriguez, 20, of Crawfordsville, cited for multiple driving offences in 24500 block Brush Creek Rd.
12:38 p.m. – Deputy responded to report of transient travel trailer in boat ramp area at Sunnyside Park. Deputy contacted male in trailer, who had no registration on vehicles or a driver’s license. Male was informed of park rules requiring him to have those items. He agreed to leave ASAP and was gone a short time later.
2:24 p.m. – Deputy located abandoned camp on Cascade Timber Consulting property in 44900 block Hwy. 20, including dome tent, discarded items and lots of trash and clothing. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.
7:11 p.m. – Christian Jacob Boatwright, 30, was cited and released on a Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation and failure to appear on an original charge of a criminal citation, and on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court, 40th Ave./Main St. Also cited for driving with a suspended license.
7:27 p.m. – Kaily April Cook, 26, was cited for failure to renew registration, 4000 block of Main St.
March 23
9:28 a.m. – Deputy responded to report of suspicious vehicles and subjects in 27300 block Scott Mountain Rd. They were the subject of multiple calls in areas of Northern Drive, Mountain Home Drive and Scott Mountain. No crimes or violations observed.
11:13 a.m. – Deputies responded to report of potentially deceased person locked in BLM vault toilet in Yellowbottom area, 51300 block Quartzville Rd. Deputies checked all vault toilets in area, found no one deceased or in need of help.
2:10 p.m. – Caller reported cows on the road in area of Whiskey Butte Dr., near Wiley Creek Dr. This area is open range, so cattle are allowed to roam. No crimes.
2:30 p.m. – Non-injury single-vehicle crash reported in 28600 block Hwy. 20.
3:14 p.m. – Caller reported a male in a vehicle possibly selling drugs, citing foot traffic and short-stay activity, 1200 block of 38th Ave. Eric Abril Encinas, 44, was cited and released on Lebanon Municipal warrant for contempt of court. Also cited for possession of meth.
6:22 p.m. – Joshua Eino Pruitt, 28, was arrested on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for unauthorized use of vehicle and failure to appear on an original charge of unauthorized use of vehicle, and an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation, 1300 block of Main St.
March 24
7:08 a.m. – Caller reported that his wife shot herself, 4611 Airport Lane. Report taken.
12:50 p.m. – Caller reported tools and extension cords stolen from Ted’s Garage Door Repair and Installation, 3224 Main St. Approximate value: $469.
3:18 p.m. – Caller reported ongoing issues with the neighbor’s dog coming onto her property. The caller had video of the animal on her property that morning, 2300 block of Cedar St. Michael Anthony Sulzinger, 62, was cited for dog as public nuisance.
7:26 p.m. – Richard Feaster, 62, of Cascadia, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief and for multiple warrants: parole violation warrant, Linn County Circuit Court warrant for first-degree theft, and Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in DUII case. 7:27 p.m. – Ervin Larry Smith, 69, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for reckless driving, Long St./15th Ave.
7:40 p.m. – Caller reported a woman stealing money from her, 300 block of W. Holley Road. Report taken for third-degree theft.
8:53 p.m. – Caller reported a motor vehicle crash into a house and parked car, 3200 block of Zelkova St. Report taken for non-injury motor vehicle crash. Damage over $2,500. Trystan Michael Rymer, 19, was cited for careless driving, failure to carry proof of insurance and speeding.
9:50 p.m. – Richard Steven Feaster, 62, was arrested on a Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
March 25
1:06 p.m. – An employee reported two males stealing alcohol and attempting to break into a pickup in the parking lot, Safeway, 1540 Main St. Report taken for third-degree theft (approximate value: $80) and criminal trespass. A juvenile suspect reportedly hopped a fence at the mill property and ran in an unknown direction.
March 26
6:03 a.m. – Deputy discovered small landslide, including boulders, in eastbound lane of 40100 block of Upper Calapooia Dr. Deputy moved boulders to shoulder to prevent vehicle damage.
2:44 p.m. – Caller reported verbal argument with significant other and asked deputies for help. Deputies provided courtesy ride to caller to help separate the parties involved. 38300 block Crawfordsville Dr.
5:47 p.m. – Caller reported that two dogs were attacking livestock and one of the dogs had been shot. Deputy responded to 39800 block Mountain Home Dr. Report taken.
11:25 p.m. – Caller reported vehicles racing in Crawfordsville, 2nd/Glass streets. Deputy arrived to find no vehicles racing.
3:12 p.m. – Caller reported two males in a white pickup stripping a red car, Green River Road/47th Ave. Officer responded and contacted a male, who denied any involvement with the red vehicle. Male has been getting his vehicle off of the property. Loyd Everett Patten, 56, was cited and released on a Linn County Circuit Court warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
6:52 p.m. – Caller reported a male and female fighting, McDonald’s, 2000 Main St. The male reportedly dragged the female from the restaurant by her neck. George Dunn, 20, was cited and released for second-degree disorderly conduct and meth possession.
11:51 p.m. – Caller reported that someone stole his leather jacket while he was working at Hilltop Market, 4824 Main St. Report taken for second-degree theft.
